Great food and attentive staff. Food cooked to order so not quick to the table, but personally prefer that. We didn’t feel rushed, even though steady flow of customers throughout the evening. Explanation of menu given when needed. Food was delicious,

We booked The Grange to celebrate my friend’s baby shower as it was close to her house. The online booking process was quick and easy. We arrived at 2:20 for our 2:30 booking so that we could put up some decorations. On arrival we were told that we had to order by 2:45 as the kitchen was closing. Surely this should have been told to us at booking. So we ordered a range of Indian starters and mains without the main guest present as we had told her to arrive between 2:45-3:00. The food was amazing. We ordered Mogo fries, chilli paneer, lamb samosa, sheekh kebab, butter naan, pilal rice, goan lamb curry, Bombay potato, canna masala and chicken tikka masala. After clearing our plates the waitress bought out the cake my friend had made. After eating the cake we were asked to leave as the restaurant had to set up for the evening. This was about 4:40, when we were told it closes at 5. Amazing food but terrible service.

The food and service were very good and this has been maintained as it is not my first time going there. However, some of the menus are sticky so they should probably clean them.

We visited mid week and enjoyed our food, fish and chips and the burger did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the apple strudel which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent, as we have always found at the Grumpy Mole pubs.

I can honestly say this was the worst Sunday roast I’ve ever had ! Took nearly an hour to arrive ! Beef was like leather veg was cold and under cooked staff (only one )wasn’t bothered when I told her what was wrong with food !! Won’t be going there again !!!’

I recently visited The Red Lion and loved their cosy atmosphere, especially the fireplace corner that's perfect for colder evenings. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

my order was so bad, I put it straight in the bin.cold dry chicken burger,burnt chicken strips ,beans was mostly sauce about 20 beans,fries were perfect don't figure.just selling me old food.never again will I order from them.

Honestly, a great kebab, but don’t think it was worth the food poisoning that followed. I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, especially as the service was good and food was tasty, but I was very unwell afterwards- wouldn’t recommend, especially as it doesn’t seem like a one off from other reviews!
