We were a group of 7 and were happy with the experience. We mostly ordered curries, all tasty and not greasy. Naans we’re delicious and stand out dish was the chicken biryani it was fragrant and packed with flavour, even having some rose petals sprinkled over it. Chick pea curry very nice too, good heat. Youngest member of the group had vegetable lasagna which ya sted Home made with fresh veg that still had bite to it. Really impressed. Service was good too , thank you

We booked The Grange to celebrate my friend’s baby shower as it was close to her house. The online booking process was quick and easy. We arrived at 2:20 for our 2:30 booking so that we could put up some decorations. On arrival we were told that we had to order by 2:45 as the kitchen was closing. Surely this should have been told to us at booking. So we ordered a range of Indian starters and mains without the main guest present as we had told her to arrive between 2:45-3:00. The food was amazing. We ordered Mogo fries, chilli paneer, lamb samosa, sheekh kebab, butter naan, pilal rice, goan lamb curry, Bombay potato, canna masala and chicken tikka masala. After clearing our plates the waitress bought out the cake my friend had made. After eating the cake we were asked to leave as the restaurant had to set up for the evening. This was about 4:40, when we were told it closes at 5. Amazing food but terrible service.

We had a good family night out at the Grange. The food was delicious. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful. I managed to use my blue light card with the manager discretion as the card is only valid from Monday to Thursday. The food was served with love.

Eva was our server and she was FANTASIC! The food was amazing-every part of it. Preedi helped us at the end was extremely friendly

So we’re back from our wonderful 3 week Honeymoon and we just wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to Leigh and her team at The Grange for making our wedding so very special. From the moment we met Leigh, it was clear that we were in the best hands. She took charge with such refinement and expertise, offering guidance and support every step of the way. Her patience was endless, and when we veered off track with an idea, she gently brought us back with sound advice and well-reasoned suggestions that always made sense. The day itself felt like a dream come true. From the moment the groom and best man arrived, they were instantly at ease thanks to Leigh and her incredible team. The room was laid out exactly as we had hoped, and even with our intimate gathering of 35 guests, the space felt warm, welcoming, and full of life. Our guests are still raving about the food! The three-course meal options were flawless, and everyone mentioned how perfectly cooked and piping hot everything was. Although the rain the day before left the pathways a little muddy and slippery, the team’s attentiveness shone through. While photos were being taken, drinks were constantly flowing, and our guests happily chatted away – not a moment felt out of place. We truly cannot thank Leigh enough for her hard work, care, and attention to detail. She made our day unforgettable, and we’ll always recommend The Grange as an excellent venue for weddings and celebrations.

Preeti who served us was fantastic and gave great service. Thr food was great and the overall service from all staff including the manager on the day were great. My son has allergies and they listen and took the time to ensure our requirements were met.

Excellent food. Very friendly staff. Kudos to Kapil, restaurant manager, who requested the chef to make a special dish for us, not on the menu. The dish was amazing! (Shahi mixed veg curry). We would love to see this on the menu if at all possible, definitely one of the best dishes we have had. We have been regular customers for >10 years and have tried all the vegetarian options on the menu (and there are quite a lot). Would highly recommend the Grange for anyone in the area looking for authentic Indian food!

Excellent restaurant with very good food. The chicken tikka is absolutely AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩 and would recommend this place to anyone. The service was also very good and the manager Kapil and our waitress were both very welcoming.

Terrific place and lovely people!!! We have been before and again we had a terrific meal and were looked after so well. Personally I'm not a huge curry affectionado (although several in our group are) and so I particularly like the way the staff help and advise on what suits. I had the Hydrabad Fish Tikka and its was FAB!!! Highest possible recommendation!!!!

My family dine there regularly.

We held our post civil ceremony lunch here for approx 130 guests in the restaurant downstairs. This booking was managed by Leigh Norris - Leigh had great communication and was very responsive us and was accommodating for our requests to make the small touches to make the day perfect. We were able to use the terrace and bridge for the cake cutting which is a really nice and scenic. Bar staff, service staff and Leigh were great on the day.

Came here excited with my kids… lady served us told her wanted coffee and sandwiches all take away… she disregarded my request and served on plate.. when i asked to get takeaway she very coldy told me to wait after my food was cold she handed out foil container not enough to fit our sandwiches… when i asked again she told me to wait and than she ignored me and continued to serve other customer who told her to serve me as i had been waiting long… customer service was unimaginably rude and fries were over fried….

We thoroughly enjoyed our Indian meal, everything was delicious. The staff were charming and were so helpful in giving us advice when we were choosing from the menu. We shall be returning.

The food was delicious, especially the Paneer Chilli and Main course as a Paneer Tika Masala, and the service was top-notch". "The staff members were provided fantastic service". Not sure what has happened to this restaurant but it has really gone downhill. Portion sizes are smaller but the food is now just average at best. Had the keema masala which was more onion than meat and tasted really really sweet. Had chana masala and a daal which was okay. I'm hating writing this as the Grange was one of my favourite restaurants and definitely my go to Indian. No more and I for one will not be returning until significant changes to the food are made

We really like this venue but the benches in the garden area in need some attention some are broken and some were probably dangerous.

Busy restaurant frequented by locals so I expected good food. Waitress was lack lustre and uninterested but did her job. Food was average. Tasty sauce but main was let down by the minute chicken legs which were dry and the flesh took some effort to get off the bone. My friend took me here as she enjoys it but tends to order the same dish. She did say that the service is always very slow and she wasn’t wrong. If the food was good I would’ve been okay with the slow service. Such a shame as it has an obvious following.

Quite a lovely place - classy and elegant.

Appalling - went to enjoy a drink in the garden. The company use an aggressive car parking company to manage their parking and despite having a valid receipt the drink ended up being charged £50 for it. DO NOT GO HERE - particularity for event if you have people visiting from a distance who aren't used to the nuances of the car parking.

Amazing place to relax on Saturday evening. Great sunny garden with many tables and tiny stream. Bar service top class. Chips and kids fish was so good that I got another double portion. Will be back again soon. Thanks

This restaurant never disappoints, food and service superb, one of the best Asian restaurants in Surrey, Hariyali fish , desi chicken is great amongst other dishes we ordered.

Ordered paneer main course via Deliveroo. Half of the box just thick greasy tomato based sauce with 4 pieces of cheese for £15. Will never order again.

The place is busy as usual. Parking was easy. You enter vehicle registration number on the bat till tablet device. The food was good and suitable for family dining.

Brilliant night, can't fault the team at all!! Also lunchtime food is amazing, a must try for decent curry lovers!

Leigh has been totally amazing from the first meeting to and during the day, she helped & guided from the start and J&R had the best wedding, special thanks to Leigh, Anna & the guys behind the bar you created a lovely setting & atmosphere, you made all the guests feel special & many commented on the lovely venue. Thank you so much, would deffo recommend for a party/wedding/celebration, the only downside was the stair lift wasn't working so we had to help 2 guests up & down the stairs, but it was fine in the end.

Recently visited after a while and as usual the Restaurant was busy for Father's Day! But had an enjoyable afternoon with the family.....The food was delicious and with some new dishes and staff did a great job on a busy day. They even kept the grand children entertained! I was at The Grange for the after party of my grandfather’s funeral. My grandfather used to frequent this pub before the 1990’s, and fondly told me stories of the fun times he shared there. Despite the sad day that we shared there due to his passing, we had an amazing time celebrating his life in The Grange. The staff provided us with three well-cooked platters of a variety of food, at a reasonable price, alongside free tea and coffee, which was excellent. The drink in this pub is expensive, however I believe it is reflective of the quality of the pub, with high quality leather couches and a beautiful beer garden available to relax in. There is also a wide range of beers and liquor to choose from, a range that is more expansive than other pubs in the area. The beer garden is also beautiful and provide plenty of space to chat, drink and smoke if needed. The staff were absolutely amazing. Particularly, Kapil Rajput helped me throughout the night and was eager to understand our story as a family and help us enjoy our night in celebrating our grandfather’s life and memory. From assisting me with providing the best experience to my disabled grandmother, to showing enthusiasm in bar conversation and serving me an “Irish standard” Guinness, which I found hard to get in London, Kapil Rajput went above and beyond his bar duties, alongside his fellow staff members on the night of the 17th of June, 2024. All staff were attentive, caring and understanding. Overall, The Grange is an excellent pub that I’m sure provides a great social venue for all situations, and helped me and my family celebrate the life of our beloved grandfather post-funeral. The prices of drinks are somewhat exorbitant for a local, outer city pub, but the staff make it worth it.

We visited the Grange on a busy Saturday night. We havent been for a while and we very pleased that the food was still delicious - the lamb was soft in my madras and the chicken tikka was knock out. The naan bread was yummy crispy and delicious . My husband was pleased as they had Madri lager on draft . The staff were all very busy but very efficient and freindly . I would encourage anyone who wants to go to book a table in advance like we did Overall excellant Thank you for a great night

Excellent Restaurant, great service and wonderful food.

I have always loved coming to this pub and enjoying a drink in the sunshine. It has a lovely beer garden and tables outside and the staff are always friendly and lovely. However after the treatment i have experienced today I am extremely disappointed and concerned as to the standard of managers that are running the pub. My partner went to the bar to get us drinks and saw the manager throwing lemons and a member of his staff when my partner commented on what happened he became aggressive calling him stupid and very confrontational saying to my partner do you know who I am! I was outside and didn’t know what had happened till he came outside to tell me what had happened. I was the one to try calm the situation down and cannot understand why a manager of a bar would aggravate a situation. The bar staff that the manager had thrown the lemons at was outside and apologised to me for the situation. I don’t understand why the manager thinks it’s ok to throw lemons at his staff in front of customers or at all really and when pulled up on it got aggressive and calling his customers stupid.He then told my partner to get out I am still not sure what my partner did wrong other than point out you shouldn’t throw lemons at your staff. In future I will not return here I will be quite happy to sit on a picnic blanket and bring my own drinks etc. it is a shame to have to write this review as I have always loved this pub but cannot justify this treatment to both their staff and to their customers.

The Grange has been a regular place for me and my family for years, we visited yesterday and were very disappointed with the portion size and change of menu. The tarka daal isn’t what it used to be(waste of money) and also came in a tiny bowl. The methi gota was our favourite item on the menu but it’s no longer there. Disappointed with the food here. Now have to consider options elsewhere.

Nothing that wasn’t deep fried except spaghetti bolognaise When it arrived it was very bland with no beef in it. £9.95 My friends fish n chips looked stale and over cooked. The fish fingers were deep fried with little fish or anything inside Never again!! Shame because staff were polite and friendly, the venue was well as appointed. Drinks ok.

Food used to be excellent, but unfortunately, it has gone down to hill. I've just had take a away of lamb jalfrezi and mushroom rice. Both of the dishes were blund, and no flavour and meat were really hard. I was really looking forward to it having usual grange curry but really disappointed 😔

Poor service! waiters and waitresses definitely didn't want to be there. Not trained in customer service. Food was extremely poor. Vegetables not cooked properly. Meat and chicken overcooked. Restaurant area could do with a good clean. Extremely Poor!!!

If you are looking to spend your afternoon in restaurant followed by an evening outdoors with your family especially kids, I would recommend beddington park which has this palatable restaurant and picturesque park suitable for all the age groups. You won't regret but have created a beautiful memory and would love to visit again and again.

Okay, but bar staff completely ignored me when ordering as they served a regular instead who got to the bar only 10 seconds before. I had been waiting almost 3 minutes, no acknowledgment. Wrote an email addressing this and was met with no response. Atmosphere was okay and decor was nice but I won’t be coming back for sure, if you treat new customers like this…

We had a great lunch here, the lamb biryani was fantastic!! Beautifuly cooked lamb with lovely crispy onion and star anise adding to the depth of flavours. My other half had the chicken korma and it was great. We'd never had an Indian Salad before but it was a great addition to our meal - we left the green chillies but really enjoyed the rest. The Grange was busy in our visit with a large group as well as a few others, but we didn't feel that delayed our meal and the staff are very good helpful and friendly. we'll be back on our next visit to Carshalton. Well done everyone at the Grange, the chef gets a discussio mention for a really great lamb biryani. *****

The food is good but not worth the price. Potions are small. Some one mentioned 3 lamb chops for £12.95... we just got 2. Other dishes also the potions have been made smaller thus food not worth the price.

Beautiful place for parties, functions and conducting meetings. Parking available. Delicious Food, location is behind Beddington park towards Hack bridge. The Grange can organise the hall decoration and settings for functions if needed.

Popped in for a quick drink during an afternoon walk in the Park. Service was good and speedy. The dining looked like it was good value. The bar area does need a little help with some paint and a deep clean or change of furniture.

If you want Indian food it's excellent the rest is poor we had 3 burgers as we didn't fancy Indian but we were there for a birthday meal. All the chips were luke warm to cold and burgers were hard. As for service it as slow got to the restaurant at 12.30 finally got our starters at 2 . And prices are expensive for what you get. This is very Disappointing as our other visits were good

I just want to repeat my thanks for the amazing food & service we received this evening …We had no idea what to expect based on my partners last visit being over 8 years ago .. far exceeded our expectations… I watched ALL the staff interacting across the restaurant and saw genuine warmth & first class customer service. The food was amazing though choosing was quite a task since there were so many possibilities… and the fa t the the Continental menu offered great choice too meant everyone’s tastes were catered for without any feeling on discomfort.

I was there for a party, the food and service were excellent. They have a lovely banqueting suite where the party was held.

So, I have used this restaurant for many years and it is such a disappointment after visiting on a quite Monday night. Starters were inedible, chicken wings were rubbery and had to be sent back. Mushroom in sauce starter, bread was underneath sauce and dripping when attempting to eat. Poppadums arrived after starters and were stale. Main course of ribs was returned as tough and chewy. They put service on bill and manager was lacking in terms of customer service and could not really articulate the poor quality. Will not be returning!

Used the Grange for our group after events. A number of us turned up on the off chance, and the bar served drinks in a courteous and swift manner. Some of our group had meals ordered from the bar. Staff have been very helpful. We will use again should any of our events happen in that area again..

I paid for a Wake , I can honestly say it's the best Venue I've been to ever. Fully recommend it for Weddings and Wakes.

I went to The Grange three times and yesterday night is the first time i tried Indian foods. i dined with my friends and asked the waiter for foods recommendation. Staffs are nice and food are delicious, we enjoyed so much and will definitely go again. Just a little suggestion, if the menu contains photos of foods that will be very helpful to customer.

THIS IS A EMAIL I SENT - STILL NO REPLY! Hi, I’m sending this email with regards to a visit I made today. It was my girlfriend’s birthday today so we came with the baby. Just want to address the disappointment of the food there today. We ordered the spicy chicken wings- these were not wings they were in fact niblets, they were so dry. Secondly the lamb madras was suppose to be spicy- clearly this is not madras curry as it was full of tomato sauce! We didn’t say anything as it was my partners birthday. I paid nearly £45 for the total bill inc bread and drinks. The only thing that was half decent was the bread. Total disappointment, I’ve come to you before but never been this bad.

Amazing coffee friendly staff and nice atmosphere. sophie head of the bar is amazing always patient and understanding with me. I have 6 on the scale of 7 adhd and can be all over the place when i dont keep up with my medication. So patient and understanding staff like her are godsend for me

Servers were very friendly and helpful with good knowledge of the menu. There is a pub adjacent to the restaurant which didn't fill me with confidence. In addition, there is no mango lassi, which for a place serving South Indian cuisine was very disappointing. Despite this, the food was better than expected. In fact, the lamb madras was very moist, flavourful, and not unreasonably spicy. I will consider returning.

Quiet Monday night but service was good and attentive but not intrusive. Food very tasty and good portions. Lovely venue but even nicer in day time as you have views of the park. Female toilets need urgent refurb and very cold.

Went here for Christmas dinner with family.Beautifully decorated prosecco or orange juice on arrival.starters was fabulous pate was great prawn and crab cocktail was huge and delicious. The lamb was lovely pretty hard to slice with a regular knife but was very tender to eat. The traditional turkey roast was lovely as we're the roast potatoes some were hoping for more than two but was plenty for me only let down was the vegetables which were hard couldn't even cut the parsnips. We had children with us who opted for the children's menu which doesn't come with a starter, and they didn't receive their dinner until the adults had nearly finished the main and by then we had been sharing as they were hungry. Children were given a box of treats from father Christmas.my first time having Christmas dinner out after cooking it myself for 30+ years.would I do it again? No but only because of the lack of attention to the service for the children.

Was a last minute choice as pub nearby wasn't doing any food.
