The best Singapore fried rice I have ever tried@

I chose this place for the first time based on star reviews and it was a big mistake. The sweet and sour chicken tasted bland as well as the rice. The pepper and chilly squid rings were inedible as you could just taste chilly & dumplings tasted off.

First time ordering from here and the food arrived piping hot and was delicious!

Rice overcooked noodles tasted burnt chicken balls over cooked sauce no taste left a creamy butter feel to the mouth will not be ordering again

The salt and garlic squid was very bland and so was the vegetable spring rolls.

Excellent as always. I wouldn't use any other Chinese takeaway. Not had a bad meal in almost 19 years of living here.

Took an 1hr to arrive and food was not good. Ordered a quarter of crispy duck and was so dry it was inediable. Such a shame as we ordered as a bday treat. wouldn't recommend or use again.

Food awful and duck was black due to being incinerated. Called restaurant said that as I’m a first time customer I’m not used to their style of cooking. I said that I’ve had Chinese before and that me or my mum couldn’t eat it and was willing to send them a photo. Waste of nearly £40. Not good customer service. Lady was polite though just not helpful.

Always use this restaurant , however today wasn't up to normal standards, crispy duck was dry and tastless, the chicken and cashew nut was more carrot than everything else and to unpalatable to finish ,pancake rolls more batter than filling, hoping they haven't got a new chef !!

This is a fantastic Chinese takeaway, it should absolutely have 5 stars! It is always delicious & service is really friendly & attentive. We have tried most of the local takeaway s before finding this one and have never tried another one since. You will not be disappointed!

Chilli and garlic chicken and the beef noodles were really tasty and well cooked. It was let down by the prawn toast and chicken balls being over cooked and in burnt/old oil. They were completely tasteless and inedible so ended up in the bin. Restaurant was closed when I tried to call. Would give them another go as the other food was good, just need to change the deep fryer oil.

Ordered a 1.5ltr bottle of drink but received a 1.25ltr bottle, otherwise everything else was good.

Unfortunately the worst chiness food I've had in a long time. Haven't tried this restaurant before but reviews looked good. Beef noodles tasted burnt, like of actual smoke, they didn't look it at all but tasted awful and was inedible, like eating a cigarette. The prawn toast was chewy, flavourless and inedible. Egg fried rice was sticky, stodgy and no flavour. Chicken balls weren't the best but edible, slightly overcooked/burnt taste to the batter, but the chicken inside was well cooked and juicy. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was delicious. Will not order again. I feel like I've just wasted my money as most is going in the bin as no one is willing to eat it apart from the soup and half the chicken balls!

Food was absolutely disgusting the dumplings wasnt cooked they were all hard on the outside & raw , the beef tasted of burnt food prawn toast was hard & not edible ribs were dry as was the satay chicken , noodles were swimming in grease & tasted nasty . They forgot 1 of the rice's . Nearly £50 ended up in the bin food was also cold & we dont live that far from the place . Would never buy from here again

Main meals were lovely and spicy, however was let down by by the hor d'oeuvres and side, the ribs and prawn toast were rock hard and inedible. Think they may have been deep fried to reheat too many times, hopefully just a one off. Was delivered within 20 mins,which was very surprising

Overall Good quality was not good. Salt garlic and chilli squid was very chewy. Tom yum chicken soup was packet tomato soup with chicken n some weird tomatoes. Please avoid Tom yum soup at all cost. O

Food was luke warm. I don't think the sesame prawn toast had ever seen a prawn. It was just some greasy burnt toast with seeds on top. Duck was good. Soft shell crab tasted of chemicals.

Food very greasy. Spare ribs floating with oil. ordered delivery. chicken with soft noodles very greasy hardly any chicken in it. Containers not filled to top. Other food all greasy and skimpy ingredients. Poor quality. Not worth the money. Will not be ordering from them again.

I always use them and the food is great. On one very rare occasion they got my order wrong and after being informed they apologised and very quickly cooked me the correct dish and quicky shot it over to me. Recommended.

I think the food would have been ok but several dishes had an odd chemical taste and smell and weren't really edible.

So disappointed with the food tonight. Our usual place was closed, so took a chance here. Our chow mein and shredded chicken was burnt. Burnt bad enough that it made the entire dish taste like charcoal. The noodles were flavourless apart from the burnt bits. It was just disgusting. Sad as our meal wasn’t exactly cheap.

Without any doubt the absolute worst Chinese food we have ever had from anywhere. The Singapore noodles were burnt and dry. The special fried rice was tasteless, bland and also very dry. Prawn curry was extremely watery and had exactly 4 prawns in it. We obviously will never order from this awful place again.

Whilst delivery was early, it showed in the quality of the food, which seem reheated. Disappointing, as the food is normally fantastic. Putting it down to an off night & will order again.

Food was nice although rice didn’t taste like it was fried only boiled and the restaurant forgot to add the chips to the order which is carnage with a young child. Otherwise delivered early and decent enough food.

It is not only the excellent and tasty food that I get from the New Shanghai Pearl, but also the welcomem recognition and appreciation that I receive from the gentleman who always greets me and says hello.

Had to call to enquire about our order. Was informed that it was next in the queue. Later received text to apologise for continued delay. Food was nice once it was eventually delivered. Could be that it was Saturday but need to book well in advance if this is a common issue.

Food arrived on time, chicken was tough and vegetable curry bland. Rest was okay.
