I think this is probably a lovely restaurant if you are NOT a vegan.... they did, to their credit, make me 3 vegan courses but they were little disappointing (eg a very nice saffron risotto that came with ... nothing at all! no veg, no side salad....and at £26 I would have expected a little more). My partner, who eats meat, did far better than I did and thought it was fantastic.

Ate here last night and choose the 50th Anniversary taster menu , every element was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The ambiance of the old mill coupled with friendly and very professional staff makes the Mill perfect. We can’t wait to return. Thankyou Ludo and team

Family birthday lunch - absolutely delicious - good food - service good - very friendly staff - would recommend - nice to go somewhere & be able to eat anything from the menu! Only criticism - paid £4.50 for half a lime & soda!

Absolutely exceptional. Great setting, very relaxed experience with absolutely stunning food. Did not disappoint in any way shape or form. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a special meal to enjoy and would suggest you go as soon as you can! This is up there with the best restaurants in all of Norfolk, if not the UK.

We called in here for coffee and cake on the way home from a garden centre where we gave up waiting in the cafe. This cafe was delightful. Friendly welcome, very clean toilet, good selection of homemade cakes. There was a painting class in progress so we sat in the shop with lots of lovely things to look at. We usually avoid cafetière coffee because of the sludge but we were very pleased with this coffee - lovely and clear and excellent flavour and much cheaper than espresso machine coffee usually is. It was a horrid wet and windy day but Willow really cheered me up. We will come again.

It was a Sunday, and it seemed like a locals only type of pub. Pretty busy serving meals. It's quite small and dog friendly. Out door seating with tables. However I must add. The rear of the pub really did need a good tidy up...

Tonight was the first time we visited Stoke Holy Cross Fish & Chips. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The chips especially, were really good and not too oily. Bit of a wait but well worth it. We will definitely be visiting again. Make sure to take cash!

Booked a 4 poster room for an eye watering price of around 350 a night, was greeted with rude staff it was a very special occasion for me and my wife which the staff were very much aware, made things difficult at check in. Then was showed to our very dated room that felt dirty the bathroom was average, normal bath and shower combo. Not what I'd expect for 300 plus a night. Then spent the whole night cold as the radiator didn't seem to be working and listening to people bang on the walls due to paintings being outside our room in corridor and what can only be described as a herd of elephants above us from around 430am onwards ruining any chance of a good night's sleep. To top it off we then went to breakfast was shown to our table we then went to join the que for buffet style breakfast to then come back to our table to find the staff had put another couple on our table and we were given a half cleaned one as a result. All in all shocking experience for the money Used to be a lovely place to go with a high standard but it seems to have really gone down hill since we last stayed there

Fantastic location for truly wonderful food and exceptional service. The food is perfect and obviously of the highest quality. Service was quick, attentive and welcoming. Beautiful dining room with every little detail thought of. Loved the gluggle jugs for water! Everything from the fresh bread rolls to the thinnest pastry on desert was just perfect!

A huge thanks to Emily at the Harford Bridge Costa who helped me out when I had a dizzy spell and got my coffee for me. I also saw her helping a family with young children and one had spilt their drink everywhere, she was very calm and kind. These things make all the difference. I'm fairly regular and I've always found the staff to be helpful but this was above and beyond

Very poor food selection. Particularly poor cakes, small and tasteless and over priced.

Having been Brasted’s devotees, this was our first visit to the restaurant at Caistor Hall and it was excellent. The whole building has been refurbished and now looks modern and welcoming. The room housing the restaurant under previous ownership was cold and underwhelming but is now a fine place to eat The menu essentially is the Brasted’s three course fine dining restaurant with good choices, good portion sizes and exceedingly well cooked. Many aspects set Brasted’s apart but one of them is the professionalism of the waiters and waitresses. Very well trained and very much appreciated. Would that other establishments aiming to operate in the fine dining arena got this important aspect right Nice to have comfortable lounges for a pre dinner drink and very nice to know that Caistor Hall is being well run and fulfilling its potential - we look forward to the result of the new extension works. Strongly recommended - best place to go

One of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant ever! Took ages to receive both starters and mains, with at least a 45 minute gap in between them… which went very slowly as I couldn’t get the awful potted crab taste out of my mouth for the entire time. When asked if they had any gluten free bread, we were met with a “maybe” and then they never mentioned it again. As mentioned, potted crab for starter was definitely out of a can, and the chips that came with my steak were 100% McCains oven chips. I don’t mind McCains, but nearly £40 for that and an overcooked “rare” steak, quite frankly my love for them goes out the window. However, it does provide quite good entertainment watching staff constantly apologising for 1 hour waits, with them seeming to think that dumping a bread roll on any aggravated table sorts out the matter… the only saving grace there was Evie, one of the waitresses, of whom appeared to be sent to any of those aggravated tables to make them laugh a little - only staff member with personality. So shout out to Evie, as I doubt the restaurant would have lasted long without her. £105 in total for 2 people, 2 courses, and quite frankly, I think my tortoise has had better meals.
