The best restaurants serving Default food in East Cambridgeshire East of England

FABULOUS! We were visiting Ely for the first time and getting a bit peckish! Walked through the market and stumbled across this place. Outside seating was full so we asked for takeaway. The young man serving was polite and welcoming. We ordered two bagels - Nordic and The pastrami one (whose name I’ve forgotten). They came beautifully presented in Eco friendly boxes with compostable cutlery etc, fresh and delicious garnish of salad plus a few crisps. I work in hospitality, often judging chefs, and these guys are awesome. The ingredients were of high quality and a simple Bagel was delivered with perfection! THANK YOU 🙏

We had a fantastic meal for seven of us where they went of their way to deliver to us all the way in Littleport. The food feels very much like authentic street food and we will be going back again soon! Highly recommended!

The BEST place to eat! Food is delicious. - All dietary needs are catered for and they allow me to request my favourite food dishes. Pat and Claire make an amazingly good team. Home baked desserts too! 5 stars!

i came here for lunch and it was absolutely brilliant tasted amazing and fresh never had anything like it. brilliant time and the staff were polite. not ur average sushi shop. it felt like i was dining at a 5 star restaurant. deffo recomend.

A most pleasant stay in a beautiful house in a fantastic setting.

Went to listen to the live music - 2 talented musicians on 12 string guitar and ukulele- excellent.

Visit before it goes! Family’s, couples and I’ll even go on my own it’s that good. Burgers, breakfast, perfect all round! I genuinely love the place and they haven’t paid me a dime to say it! A diamond in the rough. Closing soon, so make the most of it whilst you can, I know I will!

Great service, friendly people, and great coffee and cake

We had a really good evening together celebrating an 80th birthday. all of us want to come back to Old Hall for another experience. Some ideas that would make the evening even better.... a menu without the prices so that we could identify each of the delicacies..... something to deal with the flies..{a minor irritation}... a method of attracting someone to attend the bar when we needed it. These did not spoil our evening but would have made it even better. Grazing

Great place to go for a drink in the evening in Ely, which has some nice outdoor seating which is perfect in the sun. You can also bring takeaway food from outside, which is ideal when the market is on.

My go to place whenever I'm in Littleport! It's wonderful, highly recommended! 🥰

Passing through Swaffham Prior returning from a holiday in Norfolk. 2 families - 4 adults, 4 children - we all had a delicious roast lunch which was very tasty and great portion sizes. They were accommodating when we asked for children’s roasts which weren’t specified on the menu. We had 3 dogs with us and they were welcomed too. We sat inside but the beer garden looked lovely! Would definitely recommend.

Vegetarian food was cross contaminated. Mine had a distinctly fishy taste. I tried the pick and mix daily menu. It instagrams well, but it was tasteless, unexciting and I don't understand the concept of a few chopped vegetables, tofu and a few slices of chilli. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants in the past, I'm unsure with the fork and spoon only cutlery just offered here with big vegetable chunks and nothing to cut it with. Either offer a knife or chop the vegetables and other things smaller. The sticky rice was the highlight of the meal. Seating is a little uncomfortable and the fried tofu (top left) is likely bought from a packet or just tastes super similar. Service was very fast and polite. Not recommended.

Lovely old fashioned tearoom with over 30 varieties of tea . Food is excellent and reasonably priced and has daily specials. The menu is simple but the food is better for it. There is also some B&B rooms attached, plus outside seating. Dogs are allowed Overall I would recommend a visit to this little gem of a place.
