We came to Sushi and Salad for a late lunch after being recommended it by many of our friends. We ordered the Combo 1, so we could try a variety of different dishes, and it was incredible…not only in taste but the presentation was 5 stars! It was quiet when we went in (at about 3pm) so was hard to gather a typical atmosphere but the lady who looked after us was so friendly and the decor was beautiful. We were the 3rd customers to try their bubble tea since they launched it yesterday and we weren’t disappointed! Will definitely be visiting again soon, thankyou! 🤩

Me and my husband had an amazing time, the food is delicious. Neither of us are massive fans of raw fish but the panko mushrooms and the teriyaki chicken rolls were absolutely amazing!! We’ll be back.

Overpriced! Food was ok, but not worth the amount of money you pay. Ordered a ramen and got a small half empty bowl for £20. Disappointed.

Really nice! The chef knows what she/he is doing ! Always a pleasure to come here for lunch or dinner, the food is really delicious. The prices are quite high, though. Even if the food is delicious, this isn’t a five star restaurant, nor a five star service, and definitely not worth the prices on the menu. An average of £8 for a pair of sushi is totally ludicrous. Prices should be brought down by at least 15 to 20% to be realistic

We went for a family birthday and they were so kind and friendly. The food was amazing and they were great with food allergies.

My fiancee and I decided to visit Ely over the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We saw this place on google maps and thought it looked quality and wanted to try. We ended up eating here 3 times in 2 days. Everything is made fresh and there is plenty of variety on the menu. I tried both the pork and the chicken ramen and loved it. The best I've ever had. The sushi was so good, amazing flavours and phenomenal presentation! We tried the House Sake, oolong tea, macha tea and beer. All fantastic. For my birthday dinner we went with the 'Combo 3' which was expensive, but worth it. Absolute show stopper. Finally I recommend the pistachio and raspberry cheesecake.. it honestly blew me away with its light and fluffy texture and gorgeous flavour! Finally, the service.. we were lucky to be served multiple times by Nemo, who was very friendly and made us feel warmly welcomed whilst also providing outstanding service. Eat here, you wont regret it. Highly recommend!

Sushi and Salad is an amazing restaurant with a wide range of options and the loveliest staff. We usually opt for a takeaway which is easy to order on the Sushi and Salad app. At arrival, the food is always ready on time and we are met with our favourite staff member Nimu who is always friendly and welcoming.

Cute and cozy place with friendly staff and nice comfort food :) We ate the chicken and vegan ramens. They were both good. The vegan ramen comes with fried tofu and fried vegetables. Loved the matcha.. There's a whole vegan menu, which is great. Looking forward to trying other dishes, too!

We went to the Ely restaurant to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. The service was fantastic food was amazing and both had a brilliant time will definitely be coming again

I have no words apart from STUNNING. The service from nemo was exceptional, she’s so lovely, thoughtful and eager to help and please. The tea came in the cutest cups 🥹 the flavours in the dishes we chose were unreal, 100% get the seafood ramen, the broth was unbelievable. I can’t wait to come back! 😍 thank you so much 🖤

Everything was amazing. The sushi I went for was not your typical sushi it was the strawberry roll which was amazing. The service was phenomenal the ladies were very welcoming and caring. The place itself was really cute it's the perfect place for a girls brunch or even a date night.

Showed up mid-afternoon and the place was 3/4 empty. Asked for a small table and the waitress said it was reservations only. There were no related signs posted and nothing mentioned on their website. I asked if we could wait for a table to open up and the waitress said I could wait until the next day (rude comment). I recommend you go elsewhere!

As a person who grew up in Japan I can confidently say their sushi is one of the best I’ve ever had. The service was great with a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

me and my boyfriend come here every week for date night, the food is delicious (some of the best sushi in the area) and the decor and atmosphere is lovely. we love the waitresses too, especially nimu! they’re so kind and service always exceeds expectations :)

Food was ok. The thing I didn't like is staff keep rushing me and my family to leave. Even though restaurant was half empty and no one was waiting for a table. We spend nearly £200 and last thing you want to hear when you half done with your meal is if I wanted take away box. Food there is really expensive. Not coming back for this "experience". Also when my partner was going down stairs from toilet you can hear staff talking about our table. This is totally lack of respect if you do that.

We found this place a while back and have loved it ever since, the food taste so fresh and is expertly made. The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is cute and has the best atmosphere. We will always be customers for the ely branch.

Sushi and salad is a hidden gem in Ely and absolutely amazing! It's the main reason for visiting Ely as we plan movies around first going to get sushi here. Their rolls are all excellent and loaded with ingredients and they also have great cocktails. My kids all love going here also because of the kid chopsticks that make eating a little less challenging. Definitely a 10/10 for this price range!

Went on a busy Sunday, place was packed, staff rushed off feet. Big menu, lots to choose from, but prices are very odd, and high, compared to London, Cambridge sushi places. Food was all very tasty, staff very nice too. Put down birthday on reservation, but no acknowledgement of this, which is poor. Maybe return when in Ely again.

We have eaten in dozens of Japanese restaurants around the World and yet count ourselves blessed to have this absolute gem of Sushi&Salad on our doorstep! The food is awesome , funky cocktails and to cap it all Dogs are Welcome! Love this little restaurant:-)

Absolutely gorgeous food, I had the gyudon and some takoyaki, and they were both divine. Service was quick and friendly, with a great vibe to the place.

This was my first proper Sushi meal. I met my son and two grandsons, son had pre-booked it after having sampled their menus at the Saffron Walden restaurant. Lovely calm place, nice decor and excellent staff. The food was exceptional. I will be returning soon with my partner.

Ramen: Fast-foody and not properly Japanese, same level as wagamama, if not lower. Feels like the ingredients were all properly handled (as in it'd be alright if they were not prepared for a ramen), however the dish as a whole lacked a great deal to make it really a proper Japanese ramen. I think the broth and the pork lacked the most, and there was no chili oil; egg and seaweed were good; nobody puts peas and sweetcorns in a ramen but I'm alright with it; how could there be no spring onion. Sushi: not bad I guess. Chicken Karage: this smelled and tasted exactly like those frozen nuggets you can get from any supermarkets. What a massive letdown and rip-off this was. It's one thing to serve a quarter pack of frozen Karage from Costco (I might still pissed of feeling ripped off) BUT to serve chicken nuggets from Tesco is just dishonest and infuriating. This sounds rude but in hind sight, the name "sushi and salad" should have sounded a subtle red flag (and the English tea room kind of intererior deco, but I personally like it very much).

Stunning example of good food and service. Also great vegan menu. We had vgn sushi and Katsu curry and was one of our best meals in a long time. £70 for 2 with zero alcohol is a tad upsetting but for a treat do it.

Its been on the radar for some time, today was the ideal opportunity to enjoy a lunch. Staff excellent, service excellent, noise levels horrendous, its a very plescent room but with a low ceiling. Food was ok,enjoyable, but it was very expensive for 1 seafood soup and 1 rainbow salmon with 2 beers , 1 soft drink. £60. Much better value is available in Ely.

Genuinely the best sushi I've had in the UK. Both myself and my partner left with full bellies and genuinely thankful for the great service. It also happened to be a special occasion and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Honestly, if I had to raise a single point is that it's not cheap. It's worth it, in my opinion! It's good quality food, the ingredients are fresh, the fish was delicious, and they had a banging selection of background music the whole time. We will be back for sure!

My friend and I had a wonderful experience when we came for dinner! The food was delicious, tasted incredibly fresh, and we were served very quickly by an amazing server, thanks Nimy :) The whole team was very friendly and the atmosphere was most enjoyable. We recommend the Vegan Sushi Platter -the chef chose very well for what was included and we got a lot of sushi for the price! Not one to miss.

We were seated quickly, but there seemed to be problems in the room while we were eating about reservations and people being moved around from one table to another. It felt like it might have been rather overbooked. There is clearly some anxiety around this from staff.

Wow I wish I knew about this place earlier! 2 of us shared the combo, the miso was great, the pork belly was amazing along with the tempura vegetables......then came the sushi platter - as beautiful as it was delicious. I cannot wait to return to try more of the menu!

The vegan (chefs selection) at £39 was essentially just avocado sushi...very pretty but not a selection at all( there were loads of things on vegan menu so I assumed we would get a selection but nope, just avocado sushi!) such a shame! I won't be rushing back....

Loved this spot, very cute, beautiful traditional decor, and fresh food! My only suggestion is our waitress (young blonde lady) needed more training, although she was lovely and attentive. It was obvious she was either new, or lacks training, she forgot my partners main course, and we had a very long wait for it, that I had finished my main, and she handed us the dessert menu, which indicated that she hadn’t placed his mains order, and there was no apology, or discount off the bill, which was disappointing. It was obvious she had forgotten his order, but played it off like it was the kitchen being slow. Also her uniform (the leggings, were very see through..) just some little tweaks to improve. I would go back again.

Hands down, some of the best food we’ve had recently! Fresh & delicious. You can tell is homemade. The apple gyosas were especially memorable. Must try! Also, we showed up with no reservation and they went above and beyond to accomodate us!

Finally managed to try Sushi & Salad! Would highly recommend booking a table as they rarely have walk in availability. We had the Sushi combo platter, which came with sides of pork belly, tempura prawns, fried aubergine, & miso soup, along with plenty of Sushi pieces, a range of rolls and Sashimi. Everything was delicious and well presented. Great balance of ingredients in the sushi rolls. Our food did take some time to be served, but understandable given the volume. I would recommend the restaurant could maybe serve the side dishes, before the main sushi board to reduce the waiting time. Overall a delicious meal. Prices are a little higher than you would pay elsewhere in Ely, I would say they're worth it. Staff are friendly and gave helpful recommendations. Would recommend and will be returning.

We ate here for my sons birthday on 5.5.24. What a wonderful abundance of different dishes we had, and tasted delicious. The service was also great and staff were very attentive. We will definitely be dining here again.
