The best restaurants serving Default food in Toddington Central Bedfordshire East of England

Very disappointed afternoon tea for my friend’s birthday. continuous bouncing from people walking past on a sprung floor which I found very annoying. The scones were lovely but only plain ones not with fruit like the menu suggested, the Battenberg was so dry it must of been left out all day , the rest were pretty but tasteless . The first tea wasn’t particularly very hot with only one tea strainer to share for two different types of tea . Will definitely not be recommending to anyone.

Terrible over cooked and over priced food. The only nice thing was the chips and kids pasta which although all gloopy where it had been over cooked and looked rotten the flavour was quite nice. The restaurant is dirty on floor tables cutlery and window ledges The service was awful. When we pointed out to the young girl all the inadequacies she went off somewhere and said the chef and manager had ‘noted’ our concerns but no apology

Whilst the price of fish is eye wateringly high now, the cod we've had the past few times has been amazing.

We are regular customers at the restaurant and big fans of their scones ......until recently. I'm not sure whether they have changed the recipe or whether the staff who usually cook these have changed but on the last few occasions the scones have been disappointing. Cheese scones no longer very cheesy (now appears to be a plain scone with a tiny sprinkling of cheese on the top), fruit scones much less fruit - cost saving? Who knows.......but please get back to the previous versions. Otherwise a great restaurant with very good coffee and a great selection of food and cakes - the staff are a particular high point, always very friendly, welcoming and efficient.

Smallest chicken breast ever on Hunters Chicken dish. Many out of stock dishes too. Staff tried and were nice enough but evidently new. Disappointed. Won't return.

My auntie and I went here today for the first time,11/05/25. We had an excellent roast dinner,very good value and big portion, I couldn't finish it! Friendly service will definitely go back.

Great pit stop after a long drive. Clean facilities, friendly staff. A very hands on site manager, I believe her name was Jacqueline. Great leader who seems to work with and for her team.

Great vibe on the site. Great service from Burger King especially from the attentive manager Mr.K

Cashier asked 3 times if I wanted a hot latte, then proceeded to give me an iced one, as I had already been waiting a while I decided to go with it. Also, the price label for the belgian brownie said £2.95 and she repeatedly tried to charge us £3.15. Awful customer service, and overall a disappointing experience, will not be returning.

Stopped here for a break on the drive down to London. Decided to have a KFC rice bowl as I didn't want something too bready and heavy for the drive. I was very surprised at how tasty it was and how well cooked the chicken was and fresh and crispy the salad was. When I asked for extra sauce the lady provided it with no problem at all so the service was very good. Overall the services were clean but very dated and could do with a refresh to make it more welcoming. The toilets were clean enough considering the volume of people using it but quite smelly and again could do with a refresh. Overall a decent service station that needs some TLC.

We stopped for a quick lunch. The Eat & Drink Co.(EDC) was right beside Costa and they seemed to share staff (same uniforms) who were friendly, and helpful, and we actually thought we were ordering from Costa initially.There was a limited range of food available and we we opted for beef and potato soup which was actually a thick vegetable soup with beef. Not quite what we had expected but it was quite satisfying, and all right for a quick motorway stop.

Bad from start to finish Looking for a quick meal at the services after a long journey. Never again! 1. No receipt from the self service kiosk 2. The eating area was disgusting - food and rubbish all over floor and tables. I dread to think how bad the kitchen was if the customer area is so bad. It was a disgrace. 3. Bins overflowing. No idea when they were last emptied or if anyone cared. 4. Service was poor 5. Food was awful and went in the bin. It was super greasy and tasted like stale oil. How can anyone accept running a restaurant in such a state. No pride, no standards and no hope for Burger King. Worst experience in years.
