KFC Toddington - M1 North Services in Central Bedfordshire

They forgot to give me napkins. With a huge burger with lots of sauce should come on the tray as standard

KFC 🍗 chicken, as a JAMAICAN, we like SEASONING our Meats, i.e., chicken, is a MUST. KFC SEASONING is salt 🧂 ONLY. JUST SAYING 😠.

There staff is soo rude. One staff was named sharmin she was extremely bad. Her face reaction was worst ever! It was completely unhelpful.

Little on the slow side for service, food decent however. Quite unclean and a few visible leaks in the ceiling.

Hopefully, I never have to stop here again.

Lots of new amenities, a separate air-conditioned driver's room with a couple of exercise machines, a kitchen with microwave ovens, a lounge area with TV and a new wet room with showers. To be used with the code found on the parking receipt.

It's a service stop. Not clean all the time but overall everything is good.

OK for a comfort break, however, the cleaning staff didn't seem interested about the lack of vital consumables in the gents. The loos need a good attendant and regular visits by proactive staff. Coffee was OK.

Quite run down. Needs an update.

This place needs tidying. Thank God, I didn't eat here this time.

Another favourite service station of ours. Always stop here after coming off the M25 on the way home from visiting family. Nice Burger King, has an M&S, also a Costa, had coffee and cake here very nice. Also KFC chicken burger meal.It also has the Giant pastie company, big pasties, worth a try.

The first time we stopped here they took my order and made my burger without the sauce. When I went back, I was told that they ran out of sauce and decided not to put any. Today we stopped there again and ordered two chicken salads. One classic, one zinger. Neither had sufficient amount of chicken. Putting cut bits together we could tell that neither of us got full portion of it. My partner only had 4 small bites worth of chicken in his salad, I had 6. Have never been so disappointed in KFC. This branch does not care for brand standards, don’t waste your money. M1 has many KFC branches, we’ll definitely never stop at Toddington services again.

Very busy need more staff but helpful stop again

Great service station, loads of choice and very clean. It has showers for lorry drivers.

Only bought coffee and a biscuit and used the toilets.

Good motorway stop. And a bonus of having a Greggs outlet.

We stopped off for a quick snack and noticed new ordering machines at KFC. After ordering we tried to find a clean table but were appalled to see most piled high with food and paper, sticky tables and overflowing bins. I asked at KFC for a cloth but got a shrug. I told her the state of the place but got little response. After giving up we used serviettes on the table and on leaving I tried the Costa counter where the young woman said someone would do it " soon" and looked away. The eating area is a healthy and safety nightmare . On top of that the floor in the ladies toilets was wet and slippery and a child fell in a puddle. Disgusting place avoid at all costs.

Whilst not a regular KFC customer...I thought I knew what to expect when ordering a simple dish of two chicken pieces and chips. Meal was I believe premium priced (accept I was at a motorway service station)...but batter on chicken appeared and tasted as no spices had been added. Batter was thick and if I served this at home my family would be extremely disappointed . Unaware if this was a cost saving measure by this outlet?...or simply extremely poor preparation of food... Management...please monitor...I left my chicken and based on my experience would not encourage others to try food from this outlet.

waited around 15 minutes not to bad, asked for a bag as I did say take out on the app, got a bag but It was slammed on the table and my food was everywhere in the bag and the box was broken at the bottom from one of ur staff dropping it on the counter.

Stopped here to get some EV charge for my car. Whilst waiting decided to get KFC to tie us over til tea time. Ordered via the touch screen as you walk in. My order was immediately showing as “Ready To Collect” even though it wasn’t even ready. The server eventually mumbled my order number in such a low voice that I struggled to hear her. Upon collecting my order there was no thanks or smiles. Order was simply slid across the counter to me with no thanks or smile. Just a surly expression to serve me. Not a great experience.

Food was not warm. Took it back. They checked temperature, insisted it was 70°. No way was it. When she tested the chicken, she laid the chicken onto the counter, unprotected. She stated that she had to replace with food at 85°.

Great place to stop off from a long journey, fast service and order was correct

This is a service station in M1. Clean and tidy place, free parking and disabled entrance available. There are several options available for a wide range of cuisine. KFC is a standard KFC, with they own range of food. Helpful and friendly staff . Free toilet. Dog friendly place. Electric car charging point available.

Great food , big eating area and quick service.

The usual service stop along any motorway, UK, although this one seems to be a bit on the smaller side, and maybe lacking on something better food-wise than MacDonald or burger king.

KFC not used. It was a toilet break.

Didn't eat here but I'll post my usual review of the disabled toilets. 4 out of 5 The doors locked properly, that's a real bonus. But no toilet brush, usual ridiculously thin toilet paper (has anyone ever considered that many disabled people have poor hand function?) and no clothes hooks on the door. Can we have one at standing height and one at wheelchair height?

It was an ok place for services

Love it - clean, good coffee back on the road with minimal delay.

Why are the toilets always so far from the entrance at services? It makes it very problematic for someone with mobility issues

I only had cash so I couldn't buy anything so i had to leave my items i had chosen M and S was always my first choice not any more.I went and had KFC as they took my cash. + no customer service The man was more like a security guard Very disappointed M and S i am voting with my feet!

Overcrowded and struggled to park up for an e charge. Tired services in need of much improvement.

Supposed to close at 11pm. We’ve been on the road for 4 hours. Arrived at the services at 22:45 but they had already stopped serving. Should stay open until your opening time KFC.

Dry, very long, stop employing only a certain ethnic group it doesn't make any sense. This is a main service station it ain't a back road in Ilford.

Very poor, no disabled access as lift in front of building out of order as were the disabled toilets - very poor indeed.

Lovely place lots of variety, but slim on staff

There was a vary of fast food restaurants, but I went into burger King and they mixed up my chocolate milkshake for a vanilla one, and I didnt get one of my fries I ordered. So stupid. Luckily i told them and they gave me my fries.

Nice n clean motorway services. You get food, coffee, refreshments, and pretty much everything necessary as expected from a good service place.

Because I had read the review, was a bit more cautious about the quality, turned out not bad; however, missing a piece of chicken just like my previous experience with KFC.

I've not been to Toddington services for some years. We needed to stop on the M1, and this was the next services. Gosh, I wished we'd driven on by. The eating area was filthy. No chairs, mostly just dirty tables without any chairs. The floors were covered with food remains, empty packaging, the area was small for the numbers of people around and so noisy. KFC and Burger King serving food, Burger King had few people around, nit a good advert. Whilst at KFC, there must have been over 30 to 50 people trying to order from the machines and the counters. People said they had been waiting for ages. The baby change area was better, at least clean. we had a seven week old baby with us. , although the change area had been cleaned but was wet. We bought our food from the M & S shop. Nicely packaged meal deals for £5.50 each. A sandwich, with a cold drink and a bag of crisps. I'll drive past Toddington in the future, though. Toddington Services requires complete rebuilding.

They just serve fried bones. Hardly any chicken at all. The fries suck too. I was swiftly reminded why I don't buy kfc. Poor food, good service the staff are nice and I found them pleasant to deal with. It must be difficult for big chains to keep up with the rates of inflation whilst still trying to provide the same bucket of chicken they used to have a few years back. The last time I had a decent kfc was in the early 2000s

Grim. Ate here out of necessity, £18 for two meals that just about passed as edible. Filthy tables and seats. It's about as close as one can get to feeling like intensive farmed cattle!

Splash and dash , and it works both ways . Toilets are reasonable considering the amount of use , the Greggs was a let down , attitude from staff and quality wasn't what's expected from a Greggs . Wrong order. Waste of money, in a time that money isn't plentiful! Ordered bbq bites, got chilli bites ..... I hate chilli. 2 piece meal.... 1 piece was cremated the other was soggy. Chips cold. Don't waste your time or money.

As in most KFCs this is not fast food by any means. The staff just seemed more interested in talking rather than getting in with the job. The food is what it is but the service was way too slow even when using the self ordering machines that had run out of receipt paper. The restaurant reflects the rest of the services that are indeed looking old and worn out

Hopelessly slow, no sense of urgency, shambolic staff. Waited for over 30 minutes, there was a huge crowd of disgruntled customers also waiting

Took 45 minutes to get our food

Terrible. Very long wait but didn't seem that busy. Lots of staff that clearly hate their job and or life. It's like they try to make it your worst possible dining experience. They are going out their way to make it disgusting. Burger came luke warm. Drink had no ice and had been sitting so wasn't that cold. The beans were so nuked and could have caused 3rd degree burns. The thigh was OK.Give it a wide berth. Awful. Toilets grim, no soap. 4 Costa express machines all broken. Honestly this has to be the worst run moto in the UK. They win by a country mile. The management should be sacked.

By far the slowest fast food I have ever seen In my life. The staff behind the counter genuinely looked like zombies. 20 minutes for one box meal

Meant to be open till 23.00hrs. Arrived before 20.30hrs and they had closed!

Grabbed a quick bite to eat. Food was prepared quickly. Thankfully, we decided to eat in, as they missed a couple of items from our order. Would have been disappointed if we had ordered a takeaway.

Paid for 9pc chicken wings and only got 5 in the bag.. lesson learnt to always double check next time.. service was too slow and laid back..
