KFC Toddington - M1 North Services in Central Bedfordshire

It's a service station very handy when you need a minute, but expensive

Great place to break a journey up. Plenty of choices for eating.

Popped in to use facilities and the M&S foodhall. The services were generally OK but could do with a bit of a spruce up.

Waited 30 min to get the worst KFC chicken.

Place to serve travelers, all services, clean bathrooms, free parking, available

Lovely place lots of variety, but slim on staff

There was a vary of fast food restaurants, but I went into burger King and they mixed up my chocolate milkshake for a vanilla one, and I didnt get one of my fries I ordered. So stupid. Luckily i told them and they gave me my fries.

Nice n clean motorway services. You get food, coffee, refreshments, and pretty much everything necessary as expected from a good service place.

Because I had read the review, was a bit more cautious about the quality, turned out not bad; however, missing a piece of chicken just like my previous experience with KFC.

I've not been to Toddington services for some years. We needed to stop on the M1, and this was the next services. Gosh, I wished we'd driven on by. The eating area was filthy. No chairs, mostly just dirty tables without any chairs. The floors were covered with food remains, empty packaging, the area was small for the numbers of people around and so noisy. KFC and Burger King serving food, Burger King had few people around, nit a good advert. Whilst at KFC, there must have been over 30 to 50 people trying to order from the machines and the counters. People said they had been waiting for ages. The baby change area was better, at least clean. we had a seven week old baby with us. , although the change area had been cleaned but was wet. We bought our food from the M & S shop. Nicely packaged meal deals for £5.50 each. A sandwich, with a cold drink and a bag of crisps. I'll drive past Toddington in the future, though. Toddington Services requires complete rebuilding.

They just serve fried bones. Hardly any chicken at all. The fries suck too. I was swiftly reminded why I don't buy kfc. Poor food, good service the staff are nice and I found them pleasant to deal with. It must be difficult for big chains to keep up with the rates of inflation whilst still trying to provide the same bucket of chicken they used to have a few years back. The last time I had a decent kfc was in the early 2000s

Grim. Ate here out of necessity, £18 for two meals that just about passed as edible. Filthy tables and seats. It's about as close as one can get to feeling like intensive farmed cattle!

Splash and dash , and it works both ways . Toilets are reasonable considering the amount of use , the Greggs was a let down , attitude from staff and quality wasn't what's expected from a Greggs . Car park is falling apart or just keeping up with the national standard of highways . But if you need to piddle , piddle you must

Wrong order. Waste of money, in a time that money isn't plentiful! Ordered bbq bites, got chilli bites ..... I hate chilli. 2 piece meal.... 1 piece was cremated the other was soggy. Chips cold. Don't waste your time or money.

Decent KFC, services are good. Lots of seating.

As in most KFCs this is not fast food by any means. The staff just seemed more interested in talking rather than getting in with the job. The food is what it is but the service was way too slow even when using the self ordering machines that had run out of receipt paper. The restaurant reflects the rest of the services that are indeed looking old and worn out

Staff were rude and messed up my order completely I didn’t receive half of the food I paid for. Which I did t realise until on the motorway. Line was long

Went to Marks and Spencer needed staff help how to use. Got what I wanted. Excellent

Hopelessly slow, no sense of urgency, shambolic staff. Waited for over 30 minutes, there was a huge crowd of disgruntled customers also waiting

Terrible. Very long wait but didn't seem that busy. Lots of staff that clearly hate their job and or life. It's like they try to make it your worst possible dining experience. They are going out their way to make it disgusting. Burger came luke warm. Drink had no ice and had been sitting so wasn't that cold. The beans were so nuked and could have caused 3rd degree burns. The thigh was OK.Give it a wide berth. Awful. Toilets grim, no soap. 4 Costa express machines all broken. Honestly this has to be the worst run moto in the UK. They win by a country mile. The management should be sacked.

By far the slowest fast food I have ever seen In my life. The staff behind the counter genuinely looked like zombies. 20 minutes for one box meal

Incredibly slow, thrown together with little care. I know it's a service station but the standards shouldn't be any lower than any other franchise.

Chicken was strangley hard and gross.

Meant to be open till 23.00hrs. Arrived before 20.30hrs and they had closed!

Grabbed a quick bite to eat. Food was prepared quickly. Thankfully, we decided to eat in, as they missed a couple of items from our order. Would have been disappointed if we had ordered a takeaway.

Paid for 9pc chicken wings and only got 5 in the bag.. lesson learnt to always double check next time.. service was too slow and laid back..

The food was good and the atmosphere was fantastic. However, the service was very slow, and the restaurant itself was very dirty with worn-out seats, etc. The cleaning staff not up to scratch in the restaurant area. The mens washroom attendant was very rude.

A motorway services, it is just what you expect

We were just unlucky as a big group of teenagers ordered food before us, we had to wait for about 30 minutes and the food was cold!

Convenient, ample seating, toilets, free car park, fuel station next door. A gentleman (wearing a Costa shirt) came to clean the table after we ate and insisted that I should go after the children and he will do the needful.

My family and I stopped here on our way up north from London. It is a nice enough rest stop with choice of eateries. KFC was lovely. Orders processed very fast.

Had 3 chic select, with bbq sauce, lovely hot hot hot, chips good, tables tidy, all in very good experience tonight staff very courteous

Got multiple orders wrong when we visited, missing items from orders

The place needs a good revamp. Also could do with someone cleaning the seating area. The seats had food on the and are in a bad state of repair. I have used these services for a number of years and it hs slowly deteriorated.

Not a great variety of hot food.

Basically only stopped to use the bathroom facilities.

Terrible wait at 10pm on a Saturday evening. Took half an hour to prepare our food. Lots of grumpy people around.

Rather slow service. Food was exactly as you would expect it to be.

I bought a Dipping boneless feast and came with half of the food it supposed to. The attendant told me everything was fine and turned her back on me. I imagine how many people are getting robed at this KFC

Food is fine but had to wait 25mins, no receipts in any of the machines, drinks machine kept messing drinks up.

Appalling experience. Waited over 1hr for food to be served. It was cooked after 20 mins of ordering but the service team was so slow. Keep driving 🚗

Not open when it’s supposed to be, spoke to the staff who were just standing around and they didn’t even try to give an excuse they just couldn’t be arsed working

25 mins wait. No apology for the wait and the food looks like it has been in the heater cabinet for and hour. Only one server who had no personality and there were about 30 people waiting Give Toddington a miss.

Really good food, even at 10pm and super busy due to a festival and football game on the same day bringing in lots of foot traffic, wasn't a long wait and when the food came out was better than normal

We ordered half an hour ago and still don't have our food, along with many other customers stood waiting miserably. This is anything but "fast" food, avoid at all costs

Food was nice but the service was dire.

Told 20 to 23 mins wait for food took nearly 40 mins, then had to go back up as they forgot my chicken and my sauces I'd paid for. Not enough staff, it was rammed.

Slowest KFC ever !! Ordered at the machine and waited over 30 mins for our order to arrive ! There were a few people ahead of me, but there didn't seem to be many staff in the kitchen ! Tempers only got worse when more customers started filing in, causing even more of a backlog. I was order 3390, but there were people that had ordered after me that were getting their food before me, so don't know what that's about ? Anyway, we got our food eventually, which was nice, but I wouldn't visit here if you're on a tight schedule.

Food was hot but that is probably because it was so busy. Service was great despite the busy time.

Worst kfc I have ever been to. Management don't seem to care about the place and what their workers do. I was given a completely wrong order and then ignored by staff when I went back with it. I was then served by Ali who said I would need to order again and he can't do anything which was very frustrating. By the looks of it I don't think any of the workers care about their job as I see multiple workers including Ali dancing and what looks like recording videos in the back. When I finally got served the right food it was cold and the wrap was a mess. I wouldn't recommend this place at all, better off getting something from the other shops in the building.

Was shut. Should have been open as the time stated. All staff were just cleaning not serving.

They were slow at serving. And there were some mistakes. Felt tension whilst quing.

Just not the same as inner city food or experience.

Food was OK, as you expect in KFC. Freshly made and everything. Quite long waiting time and there was not many people in que. Eating area need to be looked at. I think it is shared with other entities but table next to us was left with someone else feast (carnage more like) leftovers and it look so bad.

Waited 90 minutes for our meal, why are they serving so slowly, only 30 orders on the screen.

The food took 25 minutes from ordering to receiving. The food was cold and they forgotten the chips. Staff didn't explain if there was any problems or give an estimated time when ordering. Really poor!

Very impressed with the friendliness and approachability of the new male employee, chicken was nice although a little to greasy compared to other KFC places and the fries were not great. No one in this place wears gloves though and freely puts hands on the food. I would have given a 5 for service but our wait time was +20 minutes.

It's a service station - it's got the normal stuff. Instead of Mcdolands it's Burger king, instead of Starbucks it's Costa

Wow! 9.99 for a box meal in which you forgotten chips, burger was cold and fillet in it tiny! Shame I left phone in car to take pics!

Half an hour we waited for food, with no warning of the long wait, then it was cold when we got it. Sent my teenage daughter up for ketchup after we got our food and she was ignored by staff. Wouldn't go this services again.

Absolutely awful. I didn't even want to give it one star.Waited 35 mins for our food,which was shocking and luke warm when we finally got it.Even the coffee was cold.If the kids hadn't been so hungry, I would've taken it back and complained. I doubt the staff would've rectified it as they were miserable and quite rude.They totally ignored my granddaughter when she asked for ketchup, even though they heard her.I will never,ever stop here again.Shocking service.

Had to stop as first on M1 after M25 A drab place.

Give the boss man serving customers a raise - excellent customer service.

The biggest issue was the food itself. So oily, definitely not freshly made. My son was sick after and we all didn't feel well. It wasn't crowdy but still we had to wait for quite long and some of the order was missing. The dinning area was filthy and nobody was bothering to clean the tables. Do not eat there.

Way to busy, only one guy doing all the work very polite and one female manager standing doing nothing with a bored look on her face. About 30 people in qué and she still did nothing

(BTW, our original order was done on the digital display, so communication should not have been an issue). We was then given another replacement which was totally wrong again and lukewarm. I ended up giving in, and we consumed the food due to desperation and time already spent. I would totally avoid this KFC and service station. I would not come back here again even it the food was free.
