M1 Services Toddington in Central Bedfordshire

I've eaten here twice. First time was horrendous - Expensive, micro-waved HARD (vegan) burgers! complete rip off. TODAY I happened to stop at these services again whilst venturing up't North - and decided to give them another go! Large fries are small. More expensive than before £10.47 for a vegan royal meal. The royal patty was hard, They didn't even cut the sandwich. 3-4 hours later I had food poisoning! NEVER AGAIN. Complete SH*T hole. If you want food poisoning - eat here! How Burger King has gone down hill! Report being sent to the HEAD OFFICE - this is a franchise outlet me thinks! Should have sold it to Dumb and Dumber! You couldn't pay me to eat here! Environmental health need to pay a visit!

Dirty tables piled high with food remains and packaging and bins overflowing on a Wednesday evening. I asked for tables to be cleaned on two occasions and had curt replies. Noone cleaned during our visit and it was very unpleasant consuming food there. The toilets were clean but the floor was slippery and I saw a child slip over. This is not acceptable and needs inspecting.

Ladies toilets need some maintenance. The doors to several of the cubicles don’t lock, this makes it very difficult when you’ve just got out of the car after a long journey and urgently need to go to the toilet. The door locks spin round to slot in behind a groove in the door frame but have lost the end piece of the spinning bar so can’t actually lock.

What an absolute disgrace. Utterly disgusting facilities. Shxt hole parking, pit holes everywhere. Lack of decent shops. The staff are all rude. The toilets. One toilet filled up to the brim with human excrement, another toilet with human excrement smeared across the toilet seat, the third toilet had no lock but urine sprinkled across the toilet seat. The smell, don’t even get me started. What an absolute pooh HOLE. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Going to stop using Greggs! Bought a steak slice here and it was frozen. Not the 1st time recently this has happened. Who wants cold steak slices? So that’s goodbye from us. Not going to buy from Greggs again. Hot food should be hot!

Convenient services, a bit old and tired but does the job. And you can hand feed the starlings!

Feels like the place isn’t completed. The car park signage isn’t clear for exits at night, half of the food vendors were closed at 8pm. It felt very subclass there.

Stopped here for toilets and drink Terrible . Terrible. Place Filthy horrible and freezing cold inside Toilets disgraceful. Needs shutting down. Will never stop there again.

Hate services but this one has to be close to the worst. This place has nothing going for it. Shops poor whole place is dirty and the toilets should be closed down - They are a disgrace. DONT visit.

What an awful place. Needs a full upgrade Loud speaker announcer states that each table is cleaned after each use....... never saw a cleaner in the 30 minutes we were there. Food poor in outlets except M&S. Avoid

After a long journey on the motorway I desperately needed a coffee!! So when I pulled up at Toddington north services and I went into the Costa and I’ve never had such a great experience!!! The barista I think her name was sara or Zara? Anyway she was extremely helpful and lovely even when I named Starbucks products

Visited the Toddington North Costa a few weeks ago during a trip with friends and I have only good things to say! It was warm and calm and the customer service was really lovely, especially Zara and Zaq who were friendly and made me and my friends feel welcome! Loved the coffee and the chocolate twists, would definitely visit again!!

Came by and amazing customer service from Zara, she was polite and friendly and very efficiently did my order, definitely will come again. Very pleased

Visited the costa today at the north Toddington service station late afternoon- the staff were very friendly and served the drinks very nicely and in good timing, and overall were excellent, in particular, the barista Zara, who was very warm and sociable and chatted to me while she made our drinks! It made me feel very welcome, which was very nice to have while taking a break from a long journey! Would be happy to stop at this costa again with such nice staff!

My second visit to toddington services on a night time first time a week ago at 01:30hrs where I went to costa coffee which was open but no staff waited with a female colleague for about 10mins and no one around apart from 15 east European nationals sitting in seated area no masks no social distancing and were openly letching at my female colleague and helping themselves to items in costa coffee without paying ... when asked the only member of staff we could find he informed us that the Costa employee regularly leaves his post for up to an hour at a time ... when informed about the east European nationals I was informed nothing he could do ... went in tonight and once again no one at costa coffee everyone in there were not wearing masks and no staff intervention to ask them to wear a mask ... staff are rude and appear they couldn't care less about anything the toilets were an absolute mess totally disgusting and unhygienic ... my advice would be to give toddington a wide berth if you can and go to next services ... I kid you not!! ... absolute disgrace!

so disappointed food was stale and cold like it had been sat there for hours not asked if would loke it warmed up at least staff so miserable got a baguette to and they definitely aint fresh as the bread was hard was so hungry having travelled hours and was only half way and needed some food dont go here no matter how hungry you are you will be disappointed especially as its so pricy to

Went to the services today ordered a burger King. What a disaster from beginning to end!!I was ignored at the counter for ten minutes, I was then refused to place my order because I couldn't use the machines hence why I wanted to get it right at the counter not the machine. The young girl complained about using money I explained about travelling over night was on Way home 4 hours to go cash was all I had. I had the right change so wouldn't of been a problem regarding change etc. When my order came I was a few items missing she double checked my receipt then threw my items at me in a rolled up paper bag. I asked for red sauce and salt and 2 members of staff belittled me aSaying they had put it in. I checked my meals I was still missing salt and red sauce, still they brgrudged to hand over any condiments as I was leaving a young girl threw red sauce at me saying oh here!Iv never felt so embarrassed in my life after been spoke to by these two girls who were my junior. I understand everyone has a job to be done but jesus I'm sure burger King would prefer someone to be pleasant to their customers. I hope no else goes through this terrible ordeal of 2 young girls on a power trip.

I visited the southbound services today. Half the building sinks of sewage. According to a worker it's been like that for a couple of days. Horrendous!

This service station is just dire. The toilets are filthy, smell horrible and half of the locks are busted in on the stalled. At 11:30 the Burger King and the Costa were closed even though they are signposted to be open at that time. By far the worst part of this hellhole is the onsite greggs. This place is dire. The staff are rude and disinterested and they wanted two ten year old out in the rain. The spite and self importance of the staff is unparalleled. This is social distancing gone mad. The one saving grace of this place is the fuel station shop that actually has good service.

social distancing is essential at the moment. Asking families to leave young kids who live in the same house and travel in the same vehicle outside without supervision is an abuse of power and dangerous for the children. Even when challenged the instruction remained to leave 1 outside and bring in 1 child at a time.

Yesterday I had the misfortune to use the services at Toddington. On entry to the main doors were empty pumps for sanitation then I entered the ladies. I must have walked in to at least 6 cubicles before finding a half decent one. If they didn’t have toilets blocked or loo paper all on the floor then it was broken flushers. COVID-19 was the least of my problems!

Visited - Costa Coffee (South)We stopped here for a coffee on the return trip from Crufts. The usual staples of the average service station were all present; inflated prices (in the newsagent), adequate facilities (half the sinks were out of order in the ladies) and no access for pets (Misty didn't like this). However, this isn't why we are writing this review.To keep it simple - Costa doesn't need self-service machines!We ordered from said machine, went to the counter to await our order and then realised we had to repeat the order to the flustered Baristas, whose normally smooth and concise system was being regularly interrupted by a tiny LCD screen shoved between their coffee machines. Naturally, this had a knock on effect, orders were slow and people were impatient - the situation was palpable and uncomfortable, and it could have been completely avoided if Costa had stuck to what works. If it isn't broken, don't fix it! One positive from the experience - the staff were phenomenal. We didn't catch any names, but they deserve commendation for their service. Despite being placed in this horrible position, they were jovial and efficient. The coffee was fresh, the food decent. It's just a shame that Costa overlook the quality of said staff for the sake of several glorified six-foot iPads. Unfortunately, this is too common in the modern retail environment. It's just a shame it's ruining one of the last few decent customer service experiences in the U.K.

Awful. Slow service and often cold by the time you walk 30s back to your car.Vegetarians and allergy sufferers beware clever sneaky sign at entrance. ALL FOOD IS COOKED ON THE SAME GRIDDLE AS THE MEAT.Yesterday I was served a Holloumi burger which I bit into and noticed 2 meaty carpet slices. They'd made a vegetarian dish with 2 free meat burgers. 30 years of vegetarianism down.

Burger king do not go too very slow,staff unorganised and no coffees due to breakdown,and if not using self service you have to wait 40 minutes plus extremely slow so service and the food was not good

This service station has a captive set of customers, being the first one north on the M1 after the M25.It was one of the first and largest motorway service stations, originally opening in phases in 1964 and 1965 and has a large lorry park at the rear. I called in my way north and was extremely disappointed, compared to other service stations. It seemed tired and in need of refurbishment, if not demolition and rebuilding. The toilets in particular were awful, with locks missing from cubicle doors, for example.Fortunately I didn't need any petrol for the car as the price was 20p a litre more that a service station on the North Circular in London. The cash machine also charges £1.99 per transaction, so avoid it if you can.I had a coffee and cake in Costa Coffee, but can't say that overall it was an enjoyable experience.

Unless you go and find somebody upstairs in WHS that has a key. No toilet paper either! Pure filth! This is the most disgusting, poorly run services we’ve ever been to.

A very typical U.K. Motorway services, it meets basic needs but that’s about all. Inflated prices everywhere. Coffee £1 extra, sandwiches twice the price, fuel an extra 25p a litre. Standard rip off. Plus points - toilets were clean as was the whole area. Sufficient parking.

I stopped at northbound Toddington services for a quick breakfast today and unfortunately had to leave hungry. From the small array of eateries available, Costa didn’t have anything ‘breakfasty’ left! (at 8.45), KFC don’t do breakfast and Burger King just couldn’t be bothered to serve me or any of the other increasingly disgruntled customers, who one by one walked out. Overall I was left very disappointed in Toddington but still hungry! Thankfully Newport Pagnell managed to save the day and serve me breakfast at 8.45!

Just travelled 120 miles and decided to stop here for a comfort break, but we have a dog so basically no where to go as you can't go inside the service area, thankfully we were together but of you are a lone traveller with a dog you are stuffed. Motorway services really need to get their acts together and stop discriminating against dog travellers

Worst costa on the face of the earth can be found here. The new drive through facility is the perfect way to rob you as essentially you are miles away before even being aware your order is wrong. I have used this place a couple of times now and it never fails, consistently awful with useless and rude staff. Todays coffee was stone cold and tasted nothing like coffee just cold milk and syrup i think. Take my advice and park your car make time for the extra few minutes its worth it in the long run.

Probably the grimmest services in the UK. It’s just dim and run down. Tables we’re filthy, toilets smelly. If it wasn’t for the kids being desperate for the loo after being stuck in roadworks, then I’d wish I kept on driving to the next place.

I dont know why but this is always a fave services of mine. Never had any issues. Always clean. Easy to park and a welcome sight on the M1 before the car park that is the M25.

Greggs & M&S; toilets were adequate & were being cleaned as I went in. Still nowhere near as good as services in Holland. But getting better. Staff in both M&S; & Greggs were really friendly & couldn’t do enough for you. Although Greggs need to bring back red berry porridge.

As soon as you enter the service station you get the smell of toilets, nothing works in the toilets, hand dryers,soap dispensers etc and it smell awful, Greggs is fine, just called for a coffee but would definitely drive past next time!!

This is our usual stop off in terms of timing/distance/convention on a regular journey to London and is always predictably horrible in the ladies’ toilets. Today was no exception: shabby, dirty, unpleasant odour everywhere, toilet paper all over the (wet) cubicle floors and today with the added annoyance that it took four attempts to find a cubicle with a working lock. l always shudder at having to actually touch the lid to even use one of those ridiculous toilets so whenever l read the sign on the back of the door telling us that this is a much cleaner system l can’t help but suppress a scornful laugh.

A usual typical motorway services.one knows what to expect so we are not disappointed. All was ok . Staff friendly and helpful. Will go again.

Slow and rude service, one till open for a motorway services is not really adequate. Went in for basic hot sausage rolls, got back to the car with what must be yesterday’s cold sausage rolls not even warm.

Called on our way to Gatwick for a bite to eat and comfort stop. Called at Arlo's ordered a jacket potato with cheese, I will say it was good and obviously cooked while I waited it was very hot, the coffee was also o.k.Staff a bit disjointed however everywhere appeared clean. Then the whole thing fell apart. I went to the Ladies' toilets and they were disgusting, everyone was complaining, I went to find the manager who came and inspected them with me,he also brought a cleaner who set to work, not only was there loo paper strewn all over the floor but the sanitary bins were full to overflowing. No excuse if the toilets were inspected on a regular basis.this shouldn't happen. The worst service station I have had the misfortune to visit.

We stopped off here on our way home from Manchester. The first thing was the signage to the carpark was not clear so we missed it. The majority of other services we've been to have a ring road so you can go back around and get back into the carpark. Not this one! Once you've missed the carpark entrance there is no way to get back in unless you go past the petrol station and in through one of the out lanes! Got to be the most stupid services layout I've ever seen!

What a disgusting motorway services im a truck driver i stopped off for fuel ,no one on main tills had to go to the greggs counter to pay but had to wait in a que while there was only one guy working there serving bacon sandwiches and coffees first ,making long ques for people who want to pay for their fuel!! Only one toilet working which was the womens toilets proper dirty place avoid if you can

What an awful place to stay as a tired hungry traveler, The place was filthy and to be honest I found all the places we tried to get something to eat pretty bad.

Having used the Northampton Roadchef on the way down south, I was a bit disappointed with Toddington.

Stopped here for a break from driving and such great value for coffee and a snack, offers the usual Greggs sausage rolls and pastries etc. So much cheaper than going to the outlets at motorway services.

Whoever is the manager of these services should be sacked on the spot!

Visited this place today. Quality of the place is great - no complaints. Unless you visit them at 7:30am

We stopped here on the way home from the airport. Awful KFC the oil was dirty the chicken had a very burned flavour to it. Has possibly put us off KFC for life. Terribly run just seems to be a bunch of teenagers standing around swearing and carrying on, very rude to deal with. They had run out of all sorts even soft drinks. The seating area was strewn with rubbish and dirty plates, the whole services were overall unloved and dim. Will avoid in the future.

Toddington services used to be one of the better services but their standards have sorely slipped. The carpark is strewn with litter and the toilets are a disgrace where the smell is appalling.

Has a good selection of outlets, which includes M&S;, Costa, WH Smith's and Greggs. All are more expensive than off the motorway but that is normal. Gregg's is outside the main complex so not good if it's raining. The stock in M&S; is limited, we wanted some squash to mix with the water we had, and also for use in the Trvelodge room where we were staying on the service area. They have ready mixed and plenty of carbonates but no squash.

Have just left Toddington services, will not be stopping there again, toilets are disgusting, they say the new type of toilets are meant to be cleaner and more hygienic they are wrong, had to lift toilet seat with my foot as I didn’t want to touch it with my hands, it was dirty and the smell was unbearable, avoid these services.

Real shame that the facilities let down Toddington services, has a greggs and Costa which is great however the toilets were smelly and design of toilet ment you were having to touch the seat won't be stopping there again will plan trip around using a different services

Nipped into the BP garage ladies toilet and still feeling emotionally scarred from the experience. Did not appear to have been cleaned this side of Christmas. The tap didn’t work properly and there was no soap. The lady serving behind the till (who had been using the toilet before me) was supremely unconcerned. Had to cross over to the services to find somewhere to wash my hands (which defeated the object of stopping at the garage instead of the services in the first place!).

I’m not one to normally complain but appalled.Both the female toilets and baby changing were generally bad enough including wet floors and overflowing bins and dirty toilets but the syringe is totally unacceptable.The services weren’t even that busy and yet clearly not cleaned or checked any where near enough.

These services are pretty outdated and tired looking. Had the misfortune of using the toilets, reminded me of the scene from Trainspotting! Half of the cubicles were closed or not in service and the smell was unbelievable. Really on okay for a splash and dash!

Stopped only due to a young child toilet crisis. The services just felt a bit cramped and out of date, particularly with a number of new and refurbished services around the motorway network. The toilets were clean enough but none of the eateries looked particularly appealing.

A notice on the counter said to ask about allergens. I am gluten intolerant and thought the naked burger or chicken tikka might be ok. They hadn’t a clue, just offered me a wrapped biscuit and said their allergens book didn’t include gluten. Very poor. We walked away.

You have to touch the toilet seat to open the lid which is so unhygienic then close the lid to flush the toilet. Not pleasant when the person before me left the toilet in a dirty mess and you didn’t know till you lifted the lid. Avoid at all costs

One large chips missing, the medium chips cold, no Cherry Pepsi although it’s on the vending device, young kid serving had to ask twice what we wanted as he forgot by the time it was typed in, bins overflowing, staff not attentive or smiling!!!!

Was a quick toilet stop and refreshments . Easy to park choice of food. Short ques as well . Typical service station prices .

Stopped here on 1st June for breakfast on our way to Lincolnshire. My first observation is that having two serving areas and one member of staff on duty can lead to customer irritation in not knowing whether you are in the right place. This happens when someone arrives at the other serving area and appears to be served first?

On our way up north with the family, stopped for breakfast, and went to Arlo’s. Never been there before but they were open and looked inviting with the signs on display. Paid £4.99 for a bacon roll that in the picture looked amazing and good value. Only to be given a stale thick bap with 2 pieces of fatty low quality bacon. No offer of butter either. You can clearly see in the picture on display the roll was a crusty cobb and had 4 pieces of bacon. When I questioned ”Sue” about it she said that's the deal and all we get. She was very defensive and quite rude despite my attempt to make light of the situation but wanted to raise the concern. The deal also came with a hot drink included, but sue argued we didn't order one. I had to show the receipt that clearly said ”coffee” even when I respectfully proved it with the receipt I was still met with a rude response from sue. Just a small part of a bigger problem with service in the UK. For example look at the crafty sandwich hack that only has a small amount of filling in the front to make it look like a generous amount. Just poor!

Stopped here as I do most mornings on my way to London for work and thought I’d try the Greggs in the BP petrol station, there was about 4 people waiting altogether and you would of thought there was 400 as the staff could clearly not cope and were getting flustered and stressed. There was 3 staff on and 1 working the main petrol station till and it seemed like they’d been asked to defuse a bomb. They were bickering and professionalism had all but gone out the window. Quite disappointing as most of if not all Greggs I’ve ever visited had been good quality but this one was pretty bad and needs a serious assessment of management and staff.

2 coffee, 2 pasties and 2 buns for under £8 and served with a smile. What more do you need?

Ordered a cooked breakfast with crispy bacon and was told that this would take longer. 2 minutes later a half cooked breakfast appeared with cold bacon!!

For heaven's sake, sort out your signage as you enter from the north, what a shambles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! drive in yourself Mr/Mrs/Ms manager, with fresh eyes, bearing in mind not everyone knows your service station like you do.

We had chips and chicken with salads as we checked in to Travelodge Toddington . We had good parking space in the hotel and walked into the service station for dinner and breakfast respectively .

After parking up and going paying for my overnight lorry parking, you are asked if you would like the food voucher added. I chose yes. £10 . So you get a £10 receipt to go and get £10 worth of food. I chose Burger King. Guess what, I spent £9.40. You dont get change.???? So I might as well have just bought my own. Saved 60p.

To say it has seen better days is an understatement. Motorway services have never been my favourite places but in recent years places like Hopwood and Fleet West have raised the bar. Not only is Toddington stuck in a time warp, it doesn't seem to have been maintained in many a year. Maybe it is because they have concentrated on the HGV market that they feel they don't have to try too hard. I saw plywood delaminating on the Greggs facia and inside it all looked very tired. Outside I looked for somewhere for my dog to relieve herself. It's all gone to make way for more lorries and a truck wash. There is a sign pointing the way to dog walks and picnic tables. Unfortunately, the sign is all there is. No greenery and no picnic tables.

Awful food (and expensive), awful customer service. Do not believe what it says on the tin. Would have been better off at Burger King.

You have had a long tedious drive through London with unpredictable traffic, and you are now crossing your legs, desperate for the loo. The fist service station you encounter is Toddington.

A reasonably regular stop for us on the northbound side... good quick facilities, especially like the first small cafe on the left up the steps, avoiding Burger King and Costa etc! Great service, nice scones and proper cups and teapot-bliss!

Friday afternoon and this KFC waiting for order 30 minutes. Terreble. Someone should put more staff on those days.

The car park was busy, mainly with people trying to work out where the exit was. Small Vans were too big to be parked in the main car park as there was very little space for them in front to turn to get out due to the next row of cars so closely packed into the car park. The whole place looks tired and dated. Greggs doesn't even have a sign above the door. It was about 1130am yet there were no sausage rolls for sale as they were still being cooked and most of the other hot food was down to the last pastie on the tray - went to Burger King and there was one girl serving as well as bagging up food. If they are in the middle of a refit you could excuse them, if they not refitting or upgrading then they should be

Seriously......unbelievable. This is a major service station and the first en route once you come off the M25. This will be our third visit over 3 months. The first visit we just gave it the benefit of our doubt. The second visit the queue was so long we opted to give up. Our last visit on a Saturday morning was laughable. As someone mentioned previously the system of the lady taking the money and then making the drinks just doesn't work! Added to her problems she was very short and had to rely on a pair of tongs to reach the cups on top of the coffee machine. She had also run out of large cups so my large coffee appeared in a small cup and a takeaway container. She was very apologetic.

Went in here today Wednesday about 2pm. There was four members off staff three was standing around talking. There was a lovely lady who was a trainee called Babs she was pleasant and very friendly. She seemed very experienced for a trainee. She was quick but effective in what she was doing. There was a queue but Babs didn't rush us and as we finished she was polite by saying "have a safe journey". I would like to say we had a very Happy experience Well done to Babs.

Friday night, driving home to Yorkshire from Gatwick. Says 24 hours but this doesn’t refer to all facilities. Arrived at 22:40 and everything except Burger King was closed. The woman at Costa said they’d be reopening around 11pm. No shop service, literally just toilets and Burger King. Oh and the slot machines. There is a vending machine, if as an alternative to fast food you want chocolate or crisps. Overall very poor. Had to get back into the car and drive to the next services.

In January, we had a lightning stop at Toddington and ate at Chow Asian Kitchen, for speed and because actually, the food isn't bad. Hung about with two tiny grandchildren and in a hurry, my husband didn't check the amount on the card machine and so the £111.98 went through. Since then, we have fruitlessly tried to get them to pay it back, but apparently, because he entered his PIN, they can't. To say our bank are gobsmacked is putting it lightly - without a PIN, how the heck would it have gone through at all! They are completely in the wrong, but refuse to refund. In the end, the bank will repay us, but why all the fuss? It should have showed that evening when cashing up, when, as our bank says, it should have been refunded at once. So, all you Trippers out there TAKE EXTREME CARE, BECAUSE YOU WON'T GET A REFUND. And of course, as reviewed by everyone else, the place is scruffy, dirty and all kinds of horrible, AS WELL.

we regularly drive to london ( at least 3 times a week) we tend to stop off at toddington services southbound but not anymore the toilet facilities are covered in fieces, no toilet rolls..the whole service area is unclean, i have complained to the management by email and had a reply stating it's a private cleaning company that provides the cleaning services... all i will say is that we will not be stopping there again

A good bacon bap early in the morning with coffee. Good service, very quick, very enjoyed before we hit the road again 👍

Visited 13/1/19 @ 8.30pm went to "Costa Express" to order warming Hot-choc however Assistant told me she'd run-out of Marshmellows but my receipt shows I got charged £3.79 plus extra 0.50p for cream.

Called here on the way back from a business meeting. Had a decent Costa, a Burger King and a few shops. Place was clean and decent, well maintained toilets too.

Travelling on the motorway and fancied a quick coffee.

I have seen this service station get better and better. The facilities here are very good.its nice to have a variation of what to eat and drink.Staff are always friendly too.

Dreadful food, slow and disorganised service with no apology. Bacon fatty and straight out of microwave. Poached eggs hard. If we come back to Toddington Services we will go to the Burger King.

Well we don’t give enough credit to them at all really. However I used it 2-3 times a week normally having CHOW, the food is always fresh tasty followed by fair prices. However what makes it good is the people and I have to mention a young lady called Lauren no matter how busy she’s is always has a smile in her face and she actually cares. Even if food have run out she goes out of her way to make it and bring it to your table always asking if all okay. How refreshing.

Just to let you know this is the second time this year we have stopped after a three hour drive to have breakfast. First time was around 7am not one person at counter we could smell bacon so waited another customer said no one has been ther for an hour so we left. 2nd time today thought would try again hoping it was a one off great two girls behind the counter it was 8:10 so went to order only to be told there was a 25 minutes wait for food. No one was there or very few I’m guessing it’s because like us they will no longer stop at the north bound Toddington services. You obviously don’t need customers. Just stopping at next one. Stopped for hot food on a cold day. One place was so slow most people gave up. Costa or whatever had no hot food. Greggs had no hot food. Oh, and it was freezing in there. Don’t bother.

We made a stop at these services and was very dissappointed with the lack of seating. The services are very small with little parking available. Better facilities should be available.

The Ladies’ toilets in this Service Station are quite disgusting. I walked around 3 times but could not bring myself to use any of the toilets. My husband said there was an Attendant in the Gents and he asked him to come out to speak to me. I told him what I thought about the facilities and he said it was a busy time of day (1.30 pm) and that the toilets were checked regularly. I doubt that they had been checked or cleaned for weeks and he put the blame squarely on the people who use them. He was not at all interested in hearing my complaint and unfortunately I do have to agree that I am often shocked, even disgusted by the way some people leave the toilets. Why are some people leaving toilet paper on the floor? I will never stop at this Station again and certainly would not eat there under any circumstances

Actual services are seriously in need of updating. We had coffee in Costa, it was much as normal, nice coffee, very helpful Costa staff member. So 5 out of 5 for Costa, 1 out of 5 for the actual services.

Displaying a menu that wasn't yet available (due to the hour change that happens every year), they were unwilling to prepare a dish to feed a baby 20 minutes before the menu change. Dreadful customer service

I dined at Arlo's. The prices were competitive for motorway services. The service received was surly and unhelpful. I didn't quite get what I ordered, despite it being made clear that what I'd ordered was difficult for them, even though it was displayed on the board. Food was just edible. I wouldn't return by choice.

Not often I call at Motorway services and even less at McDonald’s but last night needed a coffee and this was the only ‘fast’ food outlet open.
