A thriving, bustling cafe with a wildlife observation platform with incredible views. As an added bonus they also serve wine, which made me very happy. I didn't eat but the food looks good and it had good wifi and is dog friendly.

Came to the treetops cafe after a walk and to my surprise paid almost £19 for two underwhelming panini’s with one leaf of lettuce. Waitress came to deliver our food and stated the cutlery was based on the other side of the platform and we had to go get it ourselves when it’s right by the exit for the kitchen. Shocking - will not be returning

We spent most of the day exploring around the park and was looking forward to some heron watching while resting our weary feet on the deck of the Tree Tops Cafe. The view was great (helped by good weather), but the coffee was rather sad - too hot and somewhat more watery than it needed to be.

Very over priced and underwhelming. £45 for 4 paninis and 4 drinks. Managed to drop one of the paninis on the way to the table and made the wrong order for another one so we sat for 20 extra minutes waiting for more to be made. Coffee was pretty poor and bitter.

I’d really love to visit this cafe more often! I’ve had an annual pass for the Rushmere car park for the last 2 years as I walk my dog in Rushmere most days but I find it frustrating that dogs aren’t allowed inside the cafe, only on the outside decking where there’s no table service or other means of ordering food or drink like a QR code. When I’ve tried to order with my dog in the past I’ve been asked to leave my dog unattended outside which for me feels too irresponsible for me to do for many obvious reasons. This means that although I visit Rushmere most days, it’s only when I bring company that I can order from the cafe and even then, this is only to sit outside. I imagine outside of school holidays and weekends Rushmere’s main clientele are dog walkers so this seems such a shame as, as I said at the top, I’d love to visit with my pooch more often!

My wife and I sat on the veranda / deck and asked a waitress if we could have bacon rolls. The waitress told us that breakfasts were finished and that they don't serve bacon rolls at the Tree Tops Cafe. That we would have to go to the wooden cabin in front of Tree Tops to order bacon rolls. So we went to the cabin and ordered the bacon rolls. The person serving us then picked up the phone and ordered the bacon rolls from the Tree Tops kitchen, and they were walked over to us. How does this make sense? We questioned the waitress who brought the bacon rolls from the Tree Tops Cafe why we couldn't have them sitting down on the Tree Tops deck. The reply was that that was their system. Ridiculous.

£3.95 for breakfast toast and marmalade…. For this price I would expect some nice bread and a reasonable sized portion of marmalade what transpired was 2 slices of an average sliced loaf 2 small pats of butter and one small packet containing a teaspoon full of marmalade suffice to say butter and marmalade was spread VERY thin. I don’t mind paying the price for quality food but this is a rip off.

Wonderful location and setting, just a shame about the awful, overpriced food. Staff stood around chatting and an old, white haired lady front of house particularly rude and unhelpful. Ridiculous rules that don't allow food purchased inside the cafe to be consumed outdoors on the seating area. Therefore creating a decision for parents as to whether they feed their kids or supervise them in the play area. I should have realised when it was nearly empty at lunch that frequent visitors are full aware and avoid the place

This is a fantastic facility with friendly helpful staff, the food is of an average standard. The only reason it’s 3 stars is because there isn’t a 1/2 option and the one thing that really drags my rating down is as an area that will have lots of dog walkers and more than likely exclusively dog walkers on dreary rainy days the cafe facilities are essentially outside or two tables in the reception as they don’t permit dogs in the cafe. I think this probably loses them a significant trade.

We ordered two drinks, a chicken, brie and cranberry sandwich and a large brownie which came to about £14. My sandwich was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavour and with some nice side salad as a bonus. My daughter said her brownie was tasty too. Service was cheerful from the young lads although the food took a bit longer than expected to reach me. The views at the cafe are stunning from the terrace but we ate inside due to the pesky wasps that were harrassing visitors! It was 3.50pm when we arrived, the advertised coffee shop close time was 5pm. We were welcomed in by a very friendly man. While we were eating the staff started to go around the coffee shop banging the chairs loudly on top of tables while they tidied, setting a really delightful atmosphere 😬 then as we packed up our things to go and were still at the table another member of the teen squad came over and started to put the chairs on the table with us still there. To say it was really unwelcoming is an understatement. It's such a shame because Rushmere is beautiful but the service is so unpleasant it's embarrassing. It was a lovely surprise to be fed good food efficiently and with friendly staff and so much better than visiting a chain pub for lunch which was the plan originally! Would definitely recommend visiting when hiking/walking/wandering in the area. Loved what they have done in the surrounding areas with the walkways with wooden sculptures/children play areas etc. Good Luck with all of this to promote this area and to promote the great outdoors and to be aware of the all important wildlife for ongoing generations.
