Costa Coffee in Central Bedfordshire

Cashier asked 3 times if I wanted a hot latte, then proceeded to give me an iced one, as I had already been waiting a while I decided to go with it. Also, the price label for the belgian brownie said £2.95 and she repeatedly tried to charge us £3.15. Awful customer service, and overall a disappointing experience, will not be returning.

We came inside to the Costa at Toddington Services Southbound for a quick coffee and a snack. The woman who served us was called Yvonne and she was very rude. I am a Costa employee myself and so I was planning on using my Priviledge Card to get my usual 50% discount as a staff member. The woman was rude and arrogant insisting that it was a “gift card” and not an employee discount card. She heard from my accent that I was from Scotland and asked quite aggressively “Where do you work?” to which I replied that I work at a Costa in Scotland. She then proceeded to explain to me that “It’s different in England” when I know for a fact that it is not. She was just so rude and was also rude to my mum and younger sister as well. She served us with a complete and utter attitude which annoyed all of us. And to make things even worse, my mum ordered a black americano which was watered down and tasted disgusting. I will NEVER be back at this Costa.

Terrible experience! First no maple drinks even though they were advertised. I ordered a decaf cappuccino small and it was in a huge cup, tasted of hot water and milk and had to be sent back. I swapped it for a cup of tea which quite frankly wasn’t much better. Staff who swapped it was lovely and understanding , she wasn’t the one who had made the drinks! Horrid white film on the hot water for the teas. Daughter had a chai latte which was also gross and smelt of clovers! My advice go to Burger King for a hot drink!

Horrendous, staff don’t care and queue was out the door. No sense of urgency at all. Two people on the coffee machine and no drinks actually being made at a meaningful pace. I used to work for costa and I wouldn’t imagine having this little regard

Terrible. Every table dirty and the two young lads working there standing around on their phones doing nothing.

Staff doesn't know the difference between frappé and iced drink. One is a blended drink the other is not but staff member doesn't know that. Don't work in a coffee shop if you dont know basics of coffee

I’ve just visited this costa coffee and I’m so shocked by the atrocious customer service. The baristas were rude and having their own conversations midway serving customers. My coffee was cold and had to wait a long time for my panini even thought the cafe wasn’t busy. No respect.

Ordered a latte .may as well be a milkshake it was that cold . Place was busy .Better off getting one from the vending machine

Good hot coffee but staff lack personality. The usual inflated prices as all U.K. Motorway services have. Plenty of seating.

i was there this morning, staff were very friendly and polite, quick service and our lattes were 10/10. Would definitely visit again.

The Hot Chocolate is always very good with Costa Coffee and far superior than Starbucks rending ! Also the odd Muffin is good too.....lol

Ordered 2 coffees to drink in, half hour later still waiting and not particularly busy. Ending taking out as no time to wait any longer. Recommend staff retraining.

Stopped here for a morning coffee. I know these big chains use a corporate blueprint p, however this place just seems tired and not overly welcoming

Awful customer service by argumentative staff at kiosk. Given the wrong drinks twice. Then asked to pay twice.

Costa has a variety of options here including fast-service machines, a drive through and a normal service outlet, albeit it has no seating of its own - this is provided and shared as a central facility - and it is this that lets the place down.

Standard coffee house with variety of drinks but all overpriced as always. Food is even higher so don’t even think about it!!!

Good Costa, very comfortable and did not feel cramped or crowded. Good choice of soft drinks and nice coffee (milk not over steamed and burnt)

Very friendly member of staff. Took the order and also reminded me to use my Costa card if I had one....nice touch as I forget too often! Made a good coffee too!

I have never visited a Costa as good as this - the staff, three of them were courteous welcoming and helpful. We felt our custom was welcomed and valued. This was 10.05 on September 19th. Congratulations to you all.

As a HGV driver I visit many service stations. Today I visited here. I was shocked with how bad the service at the Costa was. 7 members of staff running around like headless chickens. Both myself and several other potential customers just left the que and went elsewhere.

Our second visit to Costa in a few days produced another poor experience. Intending to buy lunch, yet again we were met with only a few sandwiches on display. This was not the main issue however, as I eventually abandoned the queue as the manager had to be called to make a refund to a previous customer and this was apparently causing problems.

Costa Coffee, Service Facilities M1 Southbound, Toddington, Bedfordshire

Coffee OK. Only one staff member seen. Most tables had empty cups etc. This was at 6pm on a Tuesday so not too busy. Teaspoon was dirty. Overall impression: grubby place that I won’t rush back to.

Stopped of for a break from driving and a coffee. Usual good range of coffee and snacks, as you would expect from Costa. Now doing Bacon rolls as part of their breakfast food. Service a bit slow, but friendly staff, and clean tables when we went.

Stopped off on way home for a quick coffee and went to main outlet but there was a big queue so decided to use the smaller outlet near the entrance and why did I bother.

You get the usual choice at the usual motorway premium prices but we've never had any issues with the quality or service here.

Drinks and cakes fair enough, some of the seating a bit low, but perhaps I am being picky as the place probably gets hammered by people who treat it badly. Tables were being cleared by a pleasent member of staff which doesn't always happen

We often drink Costas coffee and generally we are pleased with the service and taste of the coffee, but this time it was all rather poor.

As motorway rest stops go, the facilities are standard. However on this occasion with few customers about, I was disappointed when trying to find a clean table. Discarded plates and cups littered the tables and the remnants of food made it difficult to find a clean place to sit, take lunch and relax.

Called here just for a Costa Coffee as I know it's consistently good. I was not let down by speed of service or by it's quality.

Very quick service and friendly , tidy seating area to considering it was very busy at the services that day

This is a good Costa coffee but nothing more than standard and what one would expect from this chain of coffee shops who have so many branches across the country
