The best restaurants serving Default food in Castle Point East of England

An absolute shambles, not for the first time but unfortunately for the last. We started using Lees as the food is pretty good for Chinese Takeout if not a bit pricey. We noticed they never hit their estimated delivery time. The last time was nearly 2 hours despite an original estimate of 45 mins which seems to be their standard “hook”. This time was over 3 hours. Including me driving to and from the restaurant because their phone numbers either didn’t exist or were permanently engaged. I was told the driver had left some time ago despite me getting home again and 10 mins before he arrived. No apology until I was face to face with them. Not worth the wait.

Tryed over charging me for a yahoo ,while waiting for my order ,£1.50 then he said £2 right to my face.rude on the phone Every time

Great food when on the ball, terrible communication on ordering and long wait on delivery and when you call to check on delivery communication real bad.

Shampan now last 2 years now named Everest Tandoori-could not find a listing under the new name…. We have been using this very local takeaway for over 18 months now and the food has been good but the service has been appalling we have had the wrong food delivered, we have collected only to get home to find dishes missing on 2 occasions. This time we waited nearly 90 minutes at 6pm on a Sunday. I called up to be told it was on its way only for it to be another 15 mins and I can walk there in 2 minutes. Maybe one more try and that’s it…..ridiculous service 😩

Utterly disappointed with how we was treated, food turned up up soggy tasteless and full of oil phoned back to complain was told we could have another delivery to see if any better and agin the same food turned up was then told we could have a refund and how sorry they were was told to make sure we keep the food which we did hours went past no refund the next evening we phone back to ask where the refund is and was told we was never allowed a refund £50 worth of Chinese still sitting on the kitchen side to be picked up was spoken to horrendously no apology nothing so no food and no refund discusting really wouldn’t use this place I know loads of people myself that have had same problems and will also not be returning utterly shocking the customer service is discusting and so is the food if I could score lower I would

it's a cafe for workers, not a cafè for pansies and it's lovely 10/10 on price and quality, lovely friendly staff can't fault it been going there years!

Always a good choice, tasty filling, full toppings, not cheap crap either, hot and not a bad discount on the offers. Sides are always a win especially the dough balls and cookies. Delivery most of the time quick.

We went for afternoon tea on 12.1.19. The whole experience was really lovely and the afternoon tea was one of the best that we've had. The sandwiches were packed out with the filling and the cakes were delicious. The service was lovely with plenty of tea on offer. Better than some hotels in London that I have been to for afternoon tea, would really recommend and will be returning soon.

Ordered food for the first time. Got salads separately packed , sauces separately, in all very well presented food. The quality and quantity of meal was remarkable. Will visit again
