The best restaurants serving Default food in Brentwood East of England

Not good. Quite a few menu items were not available. One or two of the staff had a disappointing attitude. Not what you would normally expect from M&S staff.

Go in Neros for a coffee a couple of times every week, I have a small 2kg Pomeranian which will only sit on my lap as he is a very timid dog and frightened of other dogs, I was told by one of the staff for the first time that my dog had to go on the floor, there was a big dog opposite me so didn’t want to put my dog on the floor as this would have freaked him out, the lady was very rude, we had to leave and quite frankly won’t ever go in there again!!!!!!! Shame on u Neros u have lost me and all my family as customers!!!!

first time I have ordered this takeaway the food was absolutely tasty and a good size portion, and arrived on time , they didn't send the pancakes to go with the crispy duck, when I called them they sent them straight out, thank you would highly recommend this takeaway

With the tragic loss of bagels/lunch, finding a new sandwich place has been difficult. The office has decided unwillingly that Lawsons is the new place to go.I have ordered from here twice, on both occasions lawsons has provided a meal that I can only describe as a blind man putting a jigsaw together. I’m not sure how someone can misunderstand ciabatta for panini. I have never eaten somewhere, nor met anyone in my life who dices avocado into sweet corn sized chunks. 3-4 pieces of these said chunks is a disrespect to not only me but the avocado itself. On my second attempt I went for a toastie, which arrived looking like my obese aunt had sat on it. Avocado chunks hidden amongst the new born baby poonlooking pesto, 2 anerexic slices of chicken breast which were tougher than mike Tyson. The only sign of any mozeralla was the cremated crust that had ran over the edge of the sandwich and faced a hot death from the toastie maker, with more crunch than grandma pat falling down the stairs. It may well be that lunch has set the bar so high that z list sandwich shops like this cannot compete. In the wake of such a titan being lost, establishments like yourself should be doing everything you can to make sure every order is going out like Gordon f****** Ramsey himself has ordered it. Shocking food on two occasions, will not be ordering from yourselves again, and I will stressing to every Tom dick and Harry who’s passed me by to not even bother. Experiencing your war like rationed sandwiches has made me miss he old LUNCH even more.

Had tandoori mixed grills and they were soggy as though boiled or cooked in water. No char whatsoever and no tandoor flavour. Don’t think they used a proper tandor oven - could have done better at home! Rice was ok and we had one curry which lacked flavour.

We have been very regular takeaway customers for 8 years but sadly this will be our last order. For the last three times we have ordered via the website, paid with order confirmed online it has not turned up. Had to phone and then place order again so food turned up super late. This time order received was not quite correct and as compensation we had an extra pilau rice to go the mushroom rice we had ordered!! 🤬

Tried this pizza recently and it was amazing! The crust was just the right amount of crispy, the sauce was super flavorful, and the toppings were really fresh. The cheese was perfectly melty too. You can tell they use good ingredients. Honestly, every bite was delicious. Totally hit the spot – I’ll definitely be visit again!

Really nice chilled atmosphere when arriving c. 8pm on Friday 21st Feb. Got served straight away. No crowding, found a table. Leffe was topped to the brim and very tasty. Food however was a different matter - My order of chicken topped bacon + cheese was devoid of any heat at all. The peas were literally stone cold. The chips that were served with it were hot. My wife's Barbecue chicken pizza was poorly cooked the dough virtually uncooked in places. The barbecue sauce had just been squirted in a couple of places on top rather than being an integral part of the pizza base. We did talk to the waiter (of apparent chinese extraction) however an AI robot would have had more empathy. We didn't think it was worth our while complaining and sending the dishes back as who knows what might happen in the kitchen to punish us for deigning to complain. So the next night of our stay in Brentwood we went to the supermarket and got a takeaway kebab !

The tea was a bit weak. It wasn't busy about 4pm but the bin was full and the semi-milk jug was almost empty (enough for 2 or 3 more cup of tea). There was some rubbish on one table outside area. The rubbish was left there for the duration of my time there 30mins+

I visited Rooster Piri Piri with my mum, excited to try it as it looked so good. However, when I saw the menu, I was shocked by the high prices, which didn’t seem worth it at all. After trying the food, I ended up with a stomach ache the next day. The food was flavorless, and the chicken burger I ordered turned out to be a disappointment—a mini chicken wing with a bone was thrown into the burger. I ordered extra hot chicken, but it wasn’t hot at all; it was bland. I felt sick and couldn’t finish my food, eventually having to throw it away. I will never order from here again and do not recommend it to anyone. If you want grilled chicken, go elsewhere.

Great staff, friendly & efficient in a very, very busy site. Excellent coffee, food and facilities. Very clean and serves wild bean coffee, without doubt the best of the takeaway brand coffees served at service stations. Have used this facility on numerous occasions and cannot speak highly enough of the staff, particularly Annette, but all staff are fantastic.

Poor service no staff at checkouts and only 3 at self service who were clearly rattled. Most of customers elderly and not comfortable using self service. That’s your point of delivery

So rude and three times argued the toss. So I've basically been called a liar three times. Ordered a meal to collect, got home, pork instead of chicken. Phoned about it... was told that what I got is what I ordered. Arranged for a new meal to collect and my wife this time repeated our order... girl at the desk argued with me again when I got there to return the 1st meal and said what I ordered she wrote down... I stood my ground and was served the new meal... wrong one yet again... argued with me a 3rd time... eventually the boss came forward with the right meal. That is my lot... we must have spent thousands of pounds with them over 20 years... never, ever again. And it was barely warm!
