The best restaurants serving Default food in Burstead Basildon East of England

Brilliant food and fantastic service, great for a family gathering or special occasion. Second time we have used, this time food delivered early with simple heating instructions and was equally delicious 😋

The food and service here is fantastic. The restaurant is more of a takeaway as it is very small can probably fit two people in. The food is always really fresh and tasty. I personally think it is a little overpriced compared to other places

Chips were freshly cooked (but a bit undercooked and limp), battered sausage was ok, but the 'batter' was a thin coating of something very chewy, but worst was the fish. A thin layer of 'fish' between two limp, chewy, layers of thin 'batter' - think the cheapest frozen 'oven fish'.

Our go to Chinese in the Brentwood/Shenfield/Billericay area. Food always arrives fresh and hot and we’ve never had a bad dish! Delivery estimates are also pretty reliable!

Apparently 27 years old is too old to get in according to the security 😂 who where pretty rude when a group of us turned up. Aged 21 - 40 odd. A family infront of us similar ages where also turned away. Now it did look like a school disco as we walked away so I’m glad we didn’t go BUT that does NOT excuse rude behaviour or attitude or telling people in their 20s they are too old to get in on a Saturday night. Good luck with the venue but yet again more lost customers here 👏

Whoever orders the cafes sandwich stock needs to learn to actually order enough as they hardly ever have coleslaw or chicken Caesar and other items, they can't say they've sold out as even if you go when it opens they don't have any. It's not just once it twice they run out they literally never have it in stock. Take it off the menu if your not going to order enough.

Brilliant for a small group Breakfast meet up. Relaxing and nice calm atmosphere, especially after the school drop-offs. Casual time to unwind and chatter. A nid-morning meet-up with food and coffee/tea. Breakfast plates were tasty and nothing to fault here. Staff were welcoming and polite.

We had a lovely meal, chicken and mushroom pie with vegs was delicious and my husband's steak was cooked perfectly, just how he likes it. Great, friednly service from Sam, our waitress, too.

The two of us had lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The main meal was lovely and the desserts were amazing! The staff were very friendly, we had Donna who was lovely. Everywhere was clean and spotless. Definitely go back again and recommend our friends.

The worst Chinese I have ever tasted. It all tasted so bland like it wasn't cooked fresh, from frozen and heated up in a microwave. Once upon a time when Yau's was still a restaurant (10 years ago) it was very good.
