Lovely food, really friendly staff, our waitresse Sam was really attentive and friendly. We were in the private dining area which was really nice and cosy.

We came this year, (still here right now!) and had to write a review because Leanne and the team were wonderful, considering with it being so so busy- food came out very quickly and was outstanding as usual! Will defo reccomend, I had the parsnip soup - the best! Followed by the pork belly, unreal. Thank you so much & happy Christmas x

The worst Xmas dinner I have ever had,booked 12.30 sitting starters came out ok then had to wait over an hour for mains which was turkey ,roast potato’s were chewy and taste like they had been dipped in a salt pot,broccoli was so hard we couldn’t eat it and one of us had none on our plate,cauliflower cheese was also too hard to eat,cabbage hadn’t even been cooked at all,pigs in blankets had not been cooked long enough the bacon was quite raw and there wasn’t enough gravey even though we asked for extra,complained to the owner who was very defensive and patronizing and she spoke over me and wasn’t really sorry she just said that the service we had was bad because a member of staff had walked out and she told me nobody else had complained but we heard others complaining,thanks for ruining my Christmas unfortunately we won’t be returning to your pub I think your New Year’s resolution should be to drop your attitude

Christmas dinner: you had to pre order and pre pay which is fine, First time at the pub and took my elderly relatives hoping it would be special. Pub nicely decorated and friendly welcome. Had a very long wait to be seated , think about 40 minutes, mum had to stand up most of the time until we got moved to another area to wait where there was a chair for her. Very busy in standing areas as service running so late. When seated no crackers on the table, didn’t mention it as fed up by then. Very long wait for main course. Soup luke warm and vegetables hard, desserts very nice. Told reason for slow service is because one waitress went home sick. Manageress very apologetic (she was working non stop). Christmas dinner is expensive but happy to pay it as a treat on a special day however it was disappointing and won’t be going back.

Lovely night out with family for my mums birthday. Been here a couple of times but this is the first time we’ve had a live singer. Food was great quality, the singer was good and our host Sam was lovely! Excellent service and will definitely be coming back

I normally really enjoy the food here. However last night, I was so disappointed. I didn’t enjoy my meal at all. The lamb skewers were overcooked and I couldn’t eat it. I appreciate they were very busy, but my dinner should never of been served like that. I didn’t have the heart to complain at the time, because the waitress was so nice. Not sure I’d go back there now.

Pretty disappointing Christmas meal tbh. Prawn and smoked salmon starter arrived with a forest of lettuce but no salmon. Cocktail sauce tasteless. Stingey amount of turkey on the main, carrots and parsnips appeared and tasted like they'd been cooked the day before and reheated.

Served by Joy today - great service and great food. Thank you very much. We will definitely return :)

We had sat dinner there at 7pm , it was full to the brim so you will need to book. Staff all lovely and my food was good. Due to the numbers in the restaurant it took about 1 hour for the food to arrive but that was fine , just enjoyed a chat and a drink

Amie was a great server for us tonight, seating a table of 20 - her service was exemplary and the food was a great offer of Xmas and their regular evening menu - really comfortable place to be!

Food was overpriced and underwhelming. Service was just about average and the live singer was quite good but far too loud for the venue. Don't bother with the watery mulled wine.

There was 10 of us and we were there to celebrate a birthday. Food was great but service very slow. The clearing of plates between courses was hit and miss a few plates were taken then a long time after a few more and so on. When ordering drinks some were missed even though written down Such a shame as had been recommended all food was lovely but let down by overall service and experience. When asking for bill and getting it deposits paid had not been taken off and had to wait another 15 mins for bill to be returned.

We just had a lovely meal at the Kings Head, and were served by Ellie who made sure we had a very enjoyable meal. We had our toddler with us and Ellie made sure he was looked after and we had what we needed. Would definitely eat there again :)

Our waitress Emily was great, very attentive. Service was quick and easy food was a great standard. Would recommend.

The Sunday roast was delicious and portions are generous. The restaurant was busy which is good sign but the tables were spaced comfortably. All the staff were friendly and service was great- we were served by Kayleigh. Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu!

This is a lovely pub with great atmosphere. The beer I had (Proper Job) was good and my food was also very tasty - maybe the best halloumi fries I've had. I knocked off 1 star as the service was initially a bit slow.

Kayleigh, our waiter was extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. We were served promptly with excellent food. Really enjoyable.

Ordered Gammon, eggs and chips. On arrival one egg was hard and the other slimy, chips were barely warm and parts of the gammon were very discoloured on one side like it had been exposed without being covered. Quite sparse and disappointing for £17.50 !!

Great atmosphere, great staff & always great service...the sunday roast is always a fave of mine & would wholeheartedly recommend a visit..the only thing I would say is dont bother with extra roast potatoes as we paid £4.25 & ended up with 4 potatos! There is always more gravy needed so I would suggest a more filled pot but the staff are always happy to get extra for you

The Trio roast dinner I had at Kings Arms Billericay is possibly the worst roast dinner I have ever had in my life. First of all one of the meats was completely sold out already by 5pm and the alternative options offered were very poor (we could have extra beef but not pork as the server told us pork is too expensive). Whilst waiting for the food we were sitting at a table surrounded by vegetables scattered around the floor. The food then turned up with items missing such as pork crackling. The roast potatoes were very hard and flavourless. The ‘extra beef’ I got was just one extra slice of beef - so 2 slices in total? Very poor. The pork was very fatty and slimey. The worst part of the meal though was the extra sides we ordered - the stuffing balls were completely burnt and rock solid. The pigs in blankets were those cheap shrivelled cocktail sausages then came in a small bowl with this awful murky water in the bottom of it. The cauliflower cheese was fine but no better than a microwave meal from the supermarket. I really can’t understand why this place has such good reviews with this poor level of food quality.

Do not go here for a roast. - 1) they had run out of one of the trio meats 2) the quality of the food was not good 3) stuffing side was rock hard and inedible 4) pigs in bankets came in a small bowl which had a nasty murky water at the bottom. They are cheap shriveled cocktail sausages wrapped in bacen 5) chef forgot to put crackling on our plates + 1) nice waitress who was very apologetic for the experience

Had a lovely meal here just the four friends. Food was excellent, service was great (Amie was very good) - no bother, just a nice chilled out time.

My wife and I use this pub fairly regularly. We have always been extremely happy with the quality of food, friendly staff (Sam was our server on our last visit) and the general atmosphere. Both food and drink are reasonably priced which means excellent value for money. They also run a very good loyalty scheme through the Vintage Inn app. .

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. Our server, Kayleigh , provided excellent service – she was quick, friendly, and a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommend!

I have some personal reasons of why I particularly wanted to visit this wonderful place, i was asked to include them within my review if i was to write one, well how could i not, its a lovely place!!! My family and I celebrated my 63rd Birthday at The Kings Head Billericay, This was the very same place and date that my Wonderful Dad Frank met up with friends and colleagues to wet the babies head (he had a Managerial position in Marconi’s Basildon) and to celebrate my birth, the same day that i was born at St Andrews Hospital Billericay, 20th October 1961, that’s 63 years ago literally to the the very hour!!! After meeting my Dear Husband Colin in 1979, and moving away a little further from Dads home we went on to meet up with Dad at the pub on a regular basis, until we moved away to Bedford in 1983, and our beautiful daughter Renay was born and then we moved on to Hampshire in 1986 where Colin very sadly passed away! As with the natural progression My Daddikins passed away in 2005 (aged 83) I cant express how i felt returning to the pub after so many years ( over 40 years). I was absolutely full of emotions, it brought back very happy memories of these wonderful people who were such an important part of my life. Walking in to the restaurant felt like no time had passed at all, it felt so cozy and welcoming, a strange warm feeling of being surrounded by a loving energy, so comforting, very much like coming home! My family and I had such a wonderful afternoon, we all loved the gorgeous food, not one complaint!!! We were served by Sam, our beautiful and very efficient waitress! Thank you so so much Sam! Thank you to the manager Kayleigh and all of the staff who made our visit so wonderful and not forgetting of course our compliments to the Chef, tenfold!!! This wonderful Pub/Restaurant holds the most precious of memories for me and I’m looking forward to returning very soon!!! I thoroughly recommend it!!!

My wife and I regularly eat at this pub. The food never fails to please and the service is always excellent, especially as Sam has been our server on the last four occasions. They also have an excellent loyalty card scheme which they supplement with additional offers.

Great venue with fantastic food. For a spontaneous stop with two kids on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. The food standard perfectly matched our service and experience, great food and perfect portions for all ages. 100% recommend to anyone visiting this part of Essex for all occasions.

My family and I went to th8s establishment for brunch I have been here a couple of times before but never tor brunch. I ordered Eggs Venedict and my wife ordered Pulled Beef Hash Eggs Benedict was delicious. I really enjoyed the Hollandaise sauce and the poached Eggs was perfect. My wife really enjoyed her hash and I tried and it was nice. The service was good and though the restaurant was almost empty at the time, it had a good atmosphere. I do believe brunch was a new addition, but most welcomed.
