Great atmosphere, great staff & always great service...the sunday roast is always a fave of mine & would wholeheartedly recommend a visit..the only thing I would say is dont bother with extra roast potatoes as we paid £4.25 & ended up with 4 potatos! There is always more gravy needed so I would suggest a more filled pot but the staff are always happy to get extra for you

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. Our server, Kayleigh , provided excellent service – she was quick, friendly, and a pleasure to talk to. Highly recommend!

My wife and I use this pub fairly regularly. We have always been extremely happy with the quality of food, friendly staff (Sam was our server on our last visit) and the general atmosphere. Both food and drink are reasonably priced which means excellent value for money. They also run a very good loyalty scheme through the Vintage Inn app. .

Fantastic food, Service and atmosphere! I have some personal reasons of why I particularly wanted to visit this wonderful place, i was asked to include them within my review if i was to write one, well how could i not, its a lovely place!!! My family and I celebrated my 63rd Birthday at The Kings Head Billericay, This was the very same place and date that my Wonderful Dad Frank met up with friends and colleagues to wet the babies head (he had a Managerial position in Marconi’s Basildon) and to celebrate my birth, the same day that i was born at St Andrews Hospital Billericay, 20th October 1961, that’s 63 years ago literally to the the very hour!!! After meeting my Dear Husband Colin in 1979, and moving away a little further from Dads home we went on to meet up with Dad at the pub on a regular basis, until we moved away to Bedford in 1983, and our beautiful daughter Renay was born and then we moved on to Hampshire in 1986 where Colin very sadly passed away! As with the natural progression My Daddikins passed away in 2005 (aged 83) I cant express how i felt returning to the pub after so many years ( over 40 years). I was absolutely full of emotions, it brought back very happy memories of these wonderful people who were such an important part of my life. Walking in to the restaurant felt like no time had passed at all, it felt so cozy and welcoming, a strange warm feeling of being surrounded by a loving energy, so comforting, very much like coming home! My family and I had such a wonderful afternoon, we all loved the gorgeous food, not one complaint!!! We were served by Sam, our beautiful and very efficient waitress! Thank you so so much Sam! Thank you to the manager Kayleigh and all of the staff who made our visit so wonderful and not forgetting of course our compliments to the Chef, tenfold!!! This wonderful Pub/Restaurant holds the most precious of memories for me and I’m looking forward to returning very soon!!! I thoroughly recommend it!!!

Came in as a group of 5 and 2 dogs for a birthday meal and were not disappointed! Leanne was lovely and the food was delicious! Lovely dog friendly pub!

My wife and I regularly eat at this pub. The food never fails to please and the service is always excellent, especially as Sam has been our server on the last four occasions. They also have an excellent loyalty card scheme which they supplement with additional offers.

We won a voucher for the kings head in a charity raffle, big selection for menu, food was beautiful, great service, will definitely return thank you x

Had a lovely meal at the King’s Head Billericay. The staff were super accommodating; we were a large group all with babies, buggies etc and they provided us with the perfect area with lots of space. Food was lovely and staff top notch, especially Kayleigh who served us, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back!

Great venue with fantastic food. For a spontaneous stop with two kids on a Sunday afternoon. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. The food standard perfectly matched our service and experience, great food and perfect portions for all ages. 100% recommend to anyone visiting this part of Essex for all occasions.

My family and I went to th8s establishment for brunch I have been here a couple of times before but never tor brunch. I ordered Eggs Venedict and my wife ordered Pulled Beef Hash Eggs Benedict was delicious. I really enjoyed the Hollandaise sauce and the poached Eggs was perfect. My wife really enjoyed her hash and I tried and it was nice. The service was good and though the restaurant was almost empty at the time, it had a good atmosphere. I do believe brunch was a new addition, but most welcomed.

Food was very good and the pub itself was lovely but not best pleased I received £100 parking fine for going to the pub for lunch. Maybe there were signs to say that you needed to pay for parking, but I find it crazy that you go to a pub for lunch And then because you’ve not paid or registered your car for parking at a pub you get charged £100 parking fine. Nice food but very expensive with the parking fine on top.

Had the pleasure of attending the Christmas tasting event and was so impressed. The food was so good, far superior to the average pub fare. Service was excellent - the team always so friendly and welcoming. The Kings Head is a great pub any time of he year, but it really is a little bit special at Christmas! I can’t wait to come back!

We came for the Taste of Vintage Christmas Evening and can honestly say that anyone who has booked for this year will have an amazing time. The food is top quality and so delicious and if you are lucky enough to have the singer we had, you're in for a treat. All staff were efficient and friendly with a special mention to Kayleigh and Abbie who looked after us.

Lovely dog friendly establishment. Pretty good overall. Hard boiled eggs royal! To be fair, the waiting staff would have taken it back to the kitchen for me. As Gary eats would say, not the worst, not the best.

We had a lovely time at the pub, the food was amazing. We had the most amazing waitress called Sam. She was extremely efficient, attentive and super polite. The best waitress I’ve had in a long time 🙌🏽

We needed something to eat after a long travel from Plymouth.Rang the pub who were more than accomadating.It was last orders at 930 and we got thete at 930 but they were more than happy to keep the kitchen open .The food was amazing we had the fish and chips which was so crispy battered. Finally we were looked after by the lovely sam, she was very attentive to our requirements. We will definitely visit again when we are up .

The service provided by Amie was amazing she so friendly and helpful and caring with all the guest she has in her area, she made us feel welcome from the very start helped us with some questions that we had but the food over all was amazing for a Sunday roast definitely recommend this place. The rest of the team are friendly too and is a dog friendly place too

I realise that I'm old but was planning to visit but needed to ask a question. I don't like being faced with an AI BOT rather than a human at the end of the phone and as that was my only option I went elsewhere.

Food not good, ordered pork and was served Turkey. Having said that the Turkey was the best part of the meal as the vegetables were poorly cooked and some were inedible. The, so called roast potatoes, were new potatoes, partly cooked and dipped in fat.

The Kings Head is always such a welcoming pub with a great atmosphere. The variety of food means that there is always something on the menu. Staff are friendly and welcoming. A big thank you to Kayleigh for making our lunch so pleasant.

I have visited this restaurant many times and have been very happy until today. The service was poor we had to ask for menus then waited 10 or more minutes then had to ask someone to take our order. Finally a waitress can to take our order she was not friendly at all. Food was oily (had cod and chips) and chips were sparse only around 6 on the plate. Sadly I won’t be coming back soon

Lovely lunch at The Kings Head today, food was fantastic- great presentation, tasted amazing & hot. Our server was Vicky- very polite, efficient and genuinely a lovely lady. Atmosphere was great, we finished off with an Aperol Spritz in the garden. Weather was lovely too, Thank-you for being so welcoming and we will most definitely be returning.

Popped in here for a meal during midweek as we would be able to get a table easily. Service was very quick and friendly. Asked if we had any allergies they should know of, which we don't, and promptly got us drinks. The meal was nice, not great, but good enough. Service was impeccable and the pub was clean, tidy and friendly.

Amazing food, friendly staff, Kayleigh was wonderful and really helpful.

Great food but had to salvage what we could of the pizza as the pot of jus for the pork had leaked out everywhere to the point of the pot being empty.

The place was so clean and the atmosphere was happy and fun. I would like to say the team weren’t nice but I couldn’t as they exceeded my expectations. The food was well presented and the taste was great and the value for money was good. Would definitely recommend in a heartbeat to anyone passing the A127

Celebrated a friend's birthday with lunch for four yesterday. Our second time of visiting in 6 months. What a lovely pub with excellent food, service & ambience. Cannot fault this place.

Amie our waitress was amazing. She was courteous, polite and completed check backs to make sure our food was great. She was amazing and had banter even better! I thought I had booked a different pub I usually go to but booked this one instead and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing and the value was great as well! Very good service from Sam. The fish and chips and the Penang curry were both very good. It was no problem to switch mushy peas to another vegetable.

Had veggie breakfast and was given beetroot fritters that’s was horrible needed veggie sausage and scabbed eggs was very dry, my daughter had pancakes with fruit and yogurt but no honey on top so not very sweet, was not cheap
