Best chipy in billericay by far, been going there for years, lovely guy who owns it and staff are always friendly, prices are very reasonable, portions are generous even in the current economic situation, I wouldn't go anywhere else and I live outside the area but it's worth the extra travel 👍🏻

Amazing meal. Price is on the higher end of average but the quality reflects this. Great taste and delivered on time. Will be using Billericay Fish & Chips again.

Delivery driver delivered to the wrong house and now won’t re deliver for an hour at least. Driver argued that he had delivered but have cctv and ring doorbell. Also didn’t see big white van on drive. Very disappointed

Me and my partner also go to this chip shop we love there Southern fried chicken there and everything else we have been comeing for a number of years and harry the owner and all the staff are very respectful and polite.if any won anit tried this fish and chip shop go and give a go it’s worth it 💯💯💯👌👌👌 from Ryan billericay

The food was tasty and the service was very friendly but the nature of the order what confusing. I asked for a 2 medium cod and chips which totalled to £17 when I thought I was getting the lunchtime deal for around £10. If it's £17 for 2 cod and chips then I think it's fair to say it was a rather overpriced meal considering the portion size.

Not open when we arrived 10 minutes after the stated time on the door, so we went somewhere else, but that was not open either. Returning past the shop it was now open. The guy serving had poor English, so ordering was difficult, but we got there. Food, itself was OK.

Lost my order apparently. Turned up 2 hours after trying to call for 30 minutes this is the second time its happened..Will not use again

Have never had a bad meal from this shop. I would however like to say that they were amazing at catering for someone with anaphylactic allergies. They were helpful and safe. Also my son had a lovely rice based batter which he thought was amazing. Great experience. ❤️

Fish and chips great placed the order at 4 ish fir 7 by 7 45 nothing arrived I tried to telephone it rang and rang then stopped had it on re dial tried 17 times no response. Got In the car went down there and the order still had not been done they filled the order immediately but felt very let down first time user I would only collect in future.

Ordered haddock and scampi and arranged to collect it in 30 minutes. Food was ready and lovely, fresh and tasty so collection is probably the way to go.

Ordered early via the "Just Eat" app for 5.30 delivery, received a text saying 6pm delivery. Its 8pm and nothing turned up. Called "Just Eat" and cancelled the order. I realise it's tough times at the moment but communication would be nice. Cannot comment on the food sadly.

We placed an order at 4.40pm with a delivery time of 5.55pm. At 7pm we were still waiting for our food. When we called, phone rang until it rang off or the line was engaged. The restaurant didn’t even respond to the Just Eat rep who we contacted for assistance. Our order included a kids meal so it was obvious we had children waiting for their dinner. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional - ruined our children’s evening treat. We will NOT be ordering from this restaurant again (since learned from a friend she previously waited a ridiculous time for food too). While I understand the covid-19 crisis means it is a challenging time for all, orders placed should be honoured and the restaurant should stop taking orders if it cannot cope with demand!

I made a pre-order around 7am on Good Friday for a 6pm delivery, I was told it wouldnt arrive until 6:30pm(even though someone down my road received their order at 5:30pm). 6:30pm came, no food, 7pm came, no food, 7:30pm came, no food, 8pm came, no food, by this point we had to make our own dinner, 8:30pm came, no food! 8:36pm the driver arrives!! We declined the food and I’m trying to get a full refund, but conveniently the number has been engaged for the last 4 hours!

My wife placed order through Just Eat at 5pm with estimated delivery of 18.45pm. We had to cancel order at 20.30 as never received even though Just Eat website had been updated as delivered. Unable to contact restaurant to find out what happened either engaged or not being answered. Knock at door at 21.45 with food order, driver very apologetic. Food very nice but our daughter could not eat as to late.

AWFUL - avoid at ALL costs! My son spent his weeks pocket money on his Friday treat at 7:45 yet at 11:05 the food is yet to arrive. This is the second time Billericay Fish & Chips has failed to provide a satisfactory service. I certainly will not be going again.

The most disappointing gut wrenching experience of a take away service ever. Ordered the food at 6.50 and got told it would be an hour but could be an hour and a half. At 8.30 We rang and spoke to many different people and started having to call from different phones as they refused to answer our calls. By this time my wife had made a sandwich for our little boy as he was starving and couldn’t wait any longer. They told us we didn’t have to pay for our delivery when it arrived...funny that as it’s now 9.36 and not paying for food that hasn’t arrived is pretty standard. But these people should be ashamed of themselves for lying through their teeth to customers and being the reason our little boy didn’t get his dinner. They knew this as we ordered a kids box so you would think they would have taken note but no..absolutely disgraceful

My Wife placed an order for collection, she went and collected it, waited around for 15mins then once she got home they’d forgotten half my daughters meal.... we called them to explain and NOONE wanted to help or rectify there mistake. They told my wife she had to come back and collect what they had forgotten. Disgusting treatment, zero apology. Will not be using again and will tell anyone I know to go elsewhere. 0/10 rating!

Better than fish n chicken in the high street, but not as good as the Codfather.

What a disappointment. This place started out good when they opened but the last twice we had food from here it was in a tray then a bag & grease was running out of both. So much so that the batter was soggy. We were also short changed by a £1 & didnt notice until we got out of the shop, another to cross off the list.

Ordered a chicken burger with cheese, roll was dry, half the cheese was stuck to the box, chips were cold and horrible. Chicken well was like a chicken steak not even a proper chicken burger... definitely wont be ordering from these people again.

Spur of the moment decision, let’s all go for fish and chips, seven of us. Phoned first, arrived to find table already laid for us. Fish, as always, delicious. Chips mouthwatering........and free refill. Service with a lovely smile, we took our own bottle and glasses were supplied.

Very good traditional style fish and chips. No kebabs, thankfully. Always use them now. Only downside is parking anywhere close is a nightmare

They have become less and less reliable as far as deliveries are concerned. Food was 31 minutes late when I cancelled it and embarked on a 111 mile drive to pick up food for them. They are both disabled andunwell currently and would have been left totally without a meal. This company made an excuse of not having enough drivers and then hung up on my father. Diabolical behaviour

The fish here is so fresh and not greasy at all, the owner is very friendly and the chips are proper old school chips, I try my hardest to not spend a penny in any chain stores in town as I value our independents and am so pleased these guys opened up

Best piece of Rock eel in years

We telephoned our order through and collected it 15 minutes later. Our fish, rock, was cooked to perfection and one portion of chips was quite suficient for the three of us! Well done to Tim, the owner, and his team!

Felt obliged to try these shop so as to compare with our usual Fish n Chicken. Yes the food was well good but not up to the standard of Fish n Chicken. The major problem here is that the location adds to traffic chaos in Western Road. I walked there but parking is a very GREAT problem with other customers parking in the carriageway. Not good. A pity.

Having used some of the other fish and chip shops in Billericay this is definitely the best . Highly recommended

We had a takeaway fish and chips from here last week and I have to say the food was superb! We were greeted by the owner, Jimmy and his staff and show their selection of fish. They also serve pies, chicken and much more! The fish was cooked to perfection and our cod was moist and the chips were well cooked. If you haven't tried this take away before, it's been open for about seven months, give it a try!

this is the best fish 'n' chip shop in Billers. This end of town is rocking nowadays, we got the best coffee at cloud9, the best kebab at twilights and now somewhere that cooks really fresh cod, old school chips, by a local guy at this chippy. I hate using chain stores and am proud to support all of our local businesses.

Excellent food served with a genuine friendly smile. The owners of this business are happy to accommodate any order and the food they provide is second to none. Highly Recommend
