Amazing food, very clean, very kind staff, amazing service and atmosphere. Been here several times! My parents couldn’t help but be shocked with a man who works here called ‘Mehmet’, he was very polite and helpful.

How many times can I ask for SALT AND VINEGAR and come home without it - making it clear everytime I order. What is wrong with this place? Why not put a salt and vinegar on the counter so the public can do it themselves- as the staff seem to be incapable

Awful Worst experience of my life. It was like entering hell. Food was vile. Greasy, soggy. Prices were over the moon Service was terrible Blamed all new staff, manager was abhorant so disrespectful towards new staff and customers. Hope both sides of the managers pillow is warm. Wont be returning

First time ordering and it’s now going to be my “go to”. Food was fresh, hot and so delicious. The service was great and the staff were friendly. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve had!

Because of the excellent reviews we visited queen's park fish bar for the very first time earlier today. We ordered skate and chips and waited for this to be cooked For us. On arriving home we found the skate was so overcooked ( both the batter and fish ) that it had to be put in the bin as was inedible.we are so so disappointed and would have returned it if we lived locally and not in basildon.your comments would be appreciated and this is a genuine review of our experience.we have just totally waisted our money John butler as per

The worst food in the area by a long way. Go to Mr fish opposite the station much better. Imagine coming to a fish and chip shop to wait 20 mins for them to take a fish out the freezer. The fish was soggy and tasteless.

My mother went into this place to get some food for herself and my nan, who can no longer walk to the shops herself. We asked for the pensioners special and were told we needed to provide proof that it was for an OAP. They suggested she facetime'd her. My nan is an elderly woman, who prior to fighting her battle with Alzheimer's, could barely work a Nokia 6210, let alone a smart phone. Bearing in mind, my nan has frequent this establishment prior for almost 25 years and had done so with my grandad before he passed. The person who served my mother is the same person who has served my nan. They've known her for almost 25 years and still refused. Never coming here again.

Best Fish and Chips I have had for awhile

We always get our fish, chips and saveloy from here and they are always great. We decided to try the mixed kebab tonight and I must say, it was delicious!! The meat was soft, salad was nice, chilli sauce just right. The owners are wonderful too and very friendly. Definitely recommend

EDIT: Three years since I left my below review and I’ve continued to use this chippy throughout. They have remained consistently good and I’ve always enjoyed great quality food and service from them - in fact, I’m off there again in a half hour to grab the family’s dinner! 😂 All food here is nice and staff friendly. However, be warned that customers are dealt with in strict rotation, so if there is a queue in front of you all waiting for their orders and YOU just want a bag of chips, you will have to wait until the queue has been given their ordered foods before you get yours. Worth the wait though.

I have used this chip shop every friday for the last couple of years. Traditional Fish & chips or something a little more exotic. Good food, Quick service and fair prices.

The only fish bar in Billericay given the wife's seal of approval. Always good food & always freshly cooked.

Ordered large cod and chips. What I got was the longest fish finger in the world. After eating it I measured the skin. 12 inches long and 1 inch wide. That is not large..it s just long and skinny. Never again.

On previous occasions I have found the food nice with good size portions and friendly service. So to my disappointment and to be honest disgust that today I went with my grandson to purchase a portion of chips costing £2:10 when the member of staff handed me the package I could feel the size was small. I didn't say anything but when I opened the packaging I was disgusted not even the small bag was filled and not only this the contents were obviously from the last previous batch made. They were cold, fatty and grey looking. I was so annoyed I called the shop and spoke to the manager whom yes offered replacement chips or my money back. But sorry, I did not want to go back to the shop given the rest of the meal was cooked. If the staff are new like they said- then perhaps they need to either check what they are giving to their customers or simply sack them

I'm so lucky to have this chip shop around the corner from my home. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is great and they do a great lunchtime special. Be prepared to queue on a Friday or Saturday night as its often packed with customers!

Friendly staff and cheap pentioner meals during the day

Used it three times now last time I ordered three medium haddock when given to me lady said she had no medium so had given me large at no extra cost (surprised) and every time has been delicious great service well done 🤗🤗🤗🤗.

We regularly get a quick take away from here and it rarely disappoints. We can recommend the cod, battered sausage, saveloy, chips and curry sauce.

Cooks everything fresh takes longer but worth the wait and prices are good the fish is really great.

I use this fish & chip shop regularly and have always been more than satisfied with the cod and chips I've received. Usually have to wait for the food to be cooked but that's no bad thing. Friendly staff and reasonable prices make this local fish bar well worth a visit.

I decided to get a takeaway meal and took advantage of the lunchtime special for senior citizens. I had to wait a few minutes for the fish to be cooked, but it was certainly worth the wait. My cod and chips was excellent, very tasty and a generous portion. Great value.

Happy to say I find the quality of food here very good. Have a reasonable selection - fish and chips, chicken nuggets, burgers and it's always well cooked. Can be a wait on some evenings but then it's freshly cooked.

After the really rave Trip Advisor reviews, I was expecting considerably better than I got. I think I was given the end of a batch of chips - good quantity, but probably half the volume were small bits rather than whole chips. The piece of cod I got was really small. I didn't ask for a large piece, but neither did I ask for a small piece. It was covered by lots of very tasty batter, but at one point I looked at a cross section - The batter above and below the fish was thicker than the fish itself.

All cooked fresh to order so expect a little wait. Taste divine.. well worth a visit the batter on the fish is lovely and crispy and the fish is huge. Be warned the large portions are enough for two people so a normal sized fish and chips is enough for one

Picked up a portion of chips from here & was pleasantly surprised with the potion size. It seems chip shops are craftily reducing their portion sizes lately, but this place gave me a reasonable amount for my money! I have tried all of the fish and chip shops in Billericay over the years but this place has something of an edge on flavour. Dont know what it is but the taste is so good. Prices are very competitive and you can park just around the corner

A lot of T/A reviews are for restaurants but fish and chips / take aways get overlooked and need reviews good or bad. The QP fish bar is consistently good. fresh fish, great batter and amazing chips. Friendly service they always seem happy to serve. Bit of a wait on a Friday but who cares ? It's fish night !!

Ordered sausage, 1/4lb burger and large chips, bit of a wait as it was very busy - but didn't mind waiting, something made me check chips outside shop - only givem regular chips - when back in and quiried this - chips were snatched out of my hand and more literally chucked on and hastily wrapped - when got home and opened burger it was literally meat in a bun, no salad /cheese/sauce as advertised - when I phoned was asked "what do you want me to do about it?" first time had any problem here, but disgusted with service today. - will think twice about going back now - apart from to complain!
