We have been coming here for about a year. Excellent service and food. Yes, it maybe a little more expensive than your typical 'pub' but it is well worth the money. Its our go-to restaurant for birthdays and special occasions. Staff always friendly and polite. Lovely beer garden out the back as well.

I visited this pub on a Friday night and was met with slow service and an appalling application of dress code rules. I waited over 14 minutes for a simple drink order, and there were significant issues with the ordering app. The most disturbing part was the management of entry; my friend was denied access for wearing clean but casual tracksuit bottoms, while others in arguably less suitable attire were allowed in. Is that because I am not English ? The security's refusal to let my friend finish his drink outside or even over the fence, despite having paid for it, was not only unreasonable but also unprecedented in my 25 years in the hospitality industry looking after 4 gastro pubs in London . I do know how to behave and never caused trouble in a pub neither my friend. We are family man with a great job and always polite .. the way security treated us was unaccaoetable. The atmosphere was more akin to a "dirty boozer," with drinks served in plastic, even wine, which was a low point. With three security guards for just 50 guests, it hints at deeper issues with crowd control or perhaps the clientele's behavior. I cannot recommend this place unless you're looking for trouble or substandard service. Perhaps local authorities should consider the implications of such management on the pub's license as I found out from my neighbours the fight are very common.
