Had a lovely cheese jacket potato with salad. Great food and very reasonable, lovely staff.

First time visit here wi the my girlfriend and loved the food and service we are definitely coming back again to try the rest of the menu 👌🏻

Disgusting meal, didn't even ask for doggie bag to take meat home for our dog. Cold plates, poor service. Not particularly cheap. Will not be going back

Went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of tables to choose from. Food portions were large, reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Visiting the UK to meet with family and also to tour London and the countryside. During my stay at Wickford, was looking out for a nice little place to enjoy a typical English breakfast. People around recommended Wickford Cafe and I wasn't disappointed at all! Got my all time favourite bread with fried eggs and a warm cup of tea to gulp it down with. Not just the food but the behaviour of the owner and the staff was nice and warm. Will come back surely next time - and highly recommended to all visitors who fancy an English breakfast countryside style!

Dated, old school, plain, and absolutely perfect. This place is a throwback to the top notch 90s cafeterias that were so prolific back then. Absolutely superb quality food, friendly and personable staff, and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The food was amazing came out all hot as we had a big table and we couldn’t of fault any of it, Thankyou for making a hard weekend pleasant and we will be back when we visit. Good food and a small sheltered pavement area to sit outside and dine. Food and service exceptionally good. We visited on two occasions recently. One visit we both fish and chips with the usual trimmings mushy peas etc. Good tasty fish, though a processed cod portion. On our second visit one of us had a chicken salad, that was amazingly good particularly the marinated freshly cooked chicken chunks. It will be hard to beat the flavour. I had a taste and remain envious. My choice was Gammon Ham with chips, beens and egg. It was well presented, beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. The staff are cooperative,jolly making you feel welcome. Visit and enjoy the service and that which is on offer, it will be well worthwhile. Enjoy.

Having just bought a property in Wickford we were in the High Street shopping and wanted a cuppa late in the afternoon so popped in and had all day breakfast as well and it was all good so we will be back

I had a lovely lavazza cappuccino and a bacon roll, hubby had croque madam and tea. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty and we'll definitely return.

Staff was speaking to customers she knew. Not watching what she was saying. Using language that was not acceptable. Food was OK. But would not go back.

I cannot fault this restaurant- the owner is so relaxed with his wonderful team of kitchen staff and waitresses. They all work so hard but always find time for a friendly chat and a warm smile. I think the owner is called Ed he is a diamond and creates a wonderful ambiance with his quick wit and cheeky smile. The food is very good and always fresh and reasonably priced. Dave x

My family and I come into this cafe on a regular basis and have always had an enjoyable all-day-breakfast. Servers are always lovely, especially the young boy who works in there who is always very attentive!

Very big with lots of room to distance yourself. Had a Set 4 breakfast which was excellent. Will definitely return when I'm next in Wickford

Fantastic Café, always good food and fabulous service 😀 I always have the full English and it's always good and filling.

Dreadful food. Asked for poached eggs. Couldn't be done because they didn't have the template Haha! Got scrambled instead that was disintegrated in the microwave. Felt like I was going to get stars for camp after eating that rubbish! Never again!

Our first time, parking is awkward, I am disabled not anywhere to park. Service very fast, clean, friendly and food was excellent. Would definitely go back back.

Nice food, but the owner treats staff horribly. The staff work their hardest but are constantly criticised and talked about behind their back by the owner. He overcharges people and they constantly get orders wrong and blame the waiters/ waitresses. The owner is not a nice person.

Disabled facilities are fantasic, plenty of space to move a disabled buggy around lots of space, open & airy. Food is good and value for money, staff welcoming and friendly. Well worth a visit

This is the best local Cafe you can find. Always busy but large enough to find a table, with a limited number of 2 person tables outside in the fresh air if you are Covid concerned. Friendly staff, family friendly, with delicious english cafe' fare to be had all day long, and if the kids are good the compulsory lolly on your way out is a nice touch lost on so many 'new eateries' nowadays.
