Limited opening hours but a nice place for live music (Thursday night "Hippy Joe's Live and Unsigned") or afternoon Lunch.

Thank you to Tracy and her team for making my party go smoothly, you went above and beyond from the start, including finding me a DJ, who was absolutely brilliant. All of my guests commented on how nice the venue was. Thank you again Tracy, your beautiful bar staff, doormen and DJ Rob. Best night ever !

First visit, unfortunately for a wake, however the staff were excellent and extremely helpful

Recently hired the Edge for my baby shower and honestly couldn't fault it. The manager Tracy was very accommodating and helpful and the staff are lovely and polite. Would highly recommend to anyone planning a special occasion. An added plus is, it's a short walking distance from the car park. Will definitely be using again for furture events! :)

First bit of live music for a while... 😁 Full of awesome CHARACTERS AND £22 for 4 beers and 2 bottles of COCA COLA... Not bad pricing!! 😁 On Google when u search this venue... It says TEMPORARILY CLOSED... That really needs to be changed. Really hard to find venue by Google maps... Needs work.... But the cool, funky atmosphere makes it up for me getting lost easier!! 😁

We recently hired the venue out for our daughters Great Gatsby themed 21st Birthday Party. From initial contact the staff (Tracey) was very friendly and accomodating in talks via Facebook. We visited the venue and on initial impressions, the outside and approach isn't great due to the area itself (no criticism on the venue). Once you're inside the venue however, it's amazing. Great size, very modern looking and nicely laid out for the party in hand. There was plenty of sitting areas, tables and a dance floor. The bar was well equipped with all the drinks you would expect to see in a bar with plenty of soft drinks and alcohol free options too! On the day, we arrived and was greeted by a very friendly and welcoming bar staff and DJ duo. There even helped us carry items from the car to the venue! Throughout the night all the staff made us feel very at ease and made the evening enjoyable for all, at the end of the party the staff even helped us pack away and ensure we were out safely back to our cars. The two door staff on the night were also very pleasant to deal with. Certainly no complaints from us and I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue again. Thanks again to all involved for this little hidden gem!

We were at the edge for a family party so the bar was closed to the public. Great venue, reasonably priced bar and very helpful staff.

We went here to see my friends band 'the beautiful antics' and it was a excellent set. This band will definitely go far! Thanks to the edge for putting on the night I look forward to the next one.

What a venue. Had a friend's 50th last night (29th). Had a great time. The bar staff and door men were brilliant. And of course the punters.. 😂

I like the place, but my experience of it is limited to seeing bands play there. I can't speak to what the food is like, and have to say the liquor could benefit from being a little cheaper, but its a nice spot. Also, its not a place for ale drinkers, although Newkie Brown is available by the bottle.

Very good can have a Newcastle how it should be served unlike the moon.

I would like to start by thanking Tracy for making the whole experience from booking to after party formalities being very relaxed and alleviating any stress or worry ensuring the whole day would run smoothly. Taking care of the evening guests comprehensive buffet and our D.j , aswell as being present during our reception to help behind the bar. All of the staff at Edge bar are wonderfully helpful and very nice helping to ensure a very relaxed atmosphere so thank you to you to. The Edge bar and kitchen is an excellent venue with plenty of parking based in the town centre with lots of local reasonably priced hotels to stay in near by i.e the Premiere inn East Mayne. I am a returning customer to this venue and i find it always to be very tidy well maintained and the best place and should be considered the only place for any sort of get together in Basildon if you are looking for excellent value for money and second to none service in my opinion. It is very spacious with a massive bar area seating areas and dance areas. The place looks fantastic modern which makes for great photographs and memories. Please take the time to call or make a visit if you are thinking of arranging a party , work event teachers end of the year party for example or just a pop in for a drink and snack whilst in Basildon town centre and support our gem of a venue. We have been there a few times with our photo booth now and it's a very nice venue in the centre of town. Staff are helpful and friendly and the venue is a good size with plenty of seating areas.

Very poor place and very poor staff

Nice interior, fairly priced. I was there mid day, so not much going on... But they do have a small stage for local aspiring singers to use, as I've been told by my boyfriend. Don't know about wheelchair accessibility as this bar is up quite a few flights of stairs... however, once in the bar, it is very open floor plan and I have no doubt a regular wheelchair users would be able to get arround no problem. They do have a terasse for days when the weather allows you to sit outdoors.

This is a great venue for a private party, they are only open during the day at the moment unless a party is on. They have a large bar area, food is very inviting. They also have a pool table in a cornered off area. Staff are very friendly.

My Sister in law recently celebrated her birthday with friends and family at the Edge, Basildon. There was a few of us that had our children with us, they played their devices in a lit up corner that was quieter there and joined in as and when they wanted to. The manager Tracy Scutter and her team was very welcoming and friendly, which made it more comfortable. Thank you.

We went for the live bands on a Thursday night. Had an absolutely fantastic time! It was free entry. Staff were very friendly and professional. There's a pool table. Toilets were immaculately clean. Lastly the band's we saw were amazing. If I can get a baby sitter I would make this a weekly thing!

This pub is more for the younger generation but an average place .not really for the older couples but no complaints just not our cup of tea

I have lived in Basildon for most of my life, I have never visited the Edge before. The staff are very friendly and helpful, all through the evening their attitude stayed positive and cheerful. Every where was clean and inspected regularly including the lavatories , the glasses was being cleared on a regular basis and any rubbish was cleared. The dance floor was spacious and the stage too. The food area was perfect and had more seating so that if you wanted to eat away directly from the music you could. I cannot praise enough, plus there is not any reason unwelcome people should arrive as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the town whilst being in the town. It has parking, a lift and is accessable to all.

Held my husbands surprise birthday party at the edge, for his 50th had a fantastic night, the staff were exceptional, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a venue to hire, for any occasion definitely the best bar In Basildon town centre by far.

Booked the edge for my husband’s 50th birthday party. We had our own band which was no problem for the edge to accommodate. From the first enquiry until the end of the celebrations the staff ( Tracey and Gail ) were extremely friendly and helpful and were always available to answer any queries. We opted for the finger buffet which went down well with our guests and our guests commented on what a great venue we had chosen. Would definitely use again, and would recommend to others.

What a great night we had at the Edge, Basildon, for my 60th birthday party on Saturday. The manager, Tracey, couldnt do enough for us. From putting up decorations to playing a memory stick of old photos on the walls throughout the party. The venue is clean and modern and everyone said what a great venue it was, that no one know was there. For the price we had a DJ, 2 doorman and a 1.00am bar. They are going to do Soul nights soon as well so will be giving that try. My friend and I had lunch there on the day and it was fab (new chef) refuses to server frozen chips so cooks real ones and they are delicious. I would highly recommend this as a private hire venue for all occasions or just to pop in for a pint. The prices are reasonable and as I said clean and smart (loos are sparkling) Its great to have a venue like this thats local as nothing else in the town comes close to it. 5 stars Tracey...thank you so much for a great party. xx

Went today for lunch with friends. Venue is really nice and clean but the food today wasn't at its best. Have eaten here several times in the last couple of months with no problems.

Well I must say that it is very rare that I write reviews. But I feel I have to mention just how impressed I was with all the hard work, effort, efficiency, food, and last but not least, the empathy we received from all the staff. We couldn't have asked for anything better for our brother's wake. I cannot rate The Edge high enough. A BIG thank you to all the Staff . Will definitely be returning for a meal and drink with friends

Great atmosphere and superb service, I really enjoyed the live music they have on and very reasonable for private hire. It was quite a surprise to find such a venue in Basildon.

Have been here previously but stoped having food here as wasn't impressed.... on a visit this week we heard there's a new chef... tried the food and was blown away, you have! Have have to try the homemade blueberry and passion fruit cake! It's absolutely amazing! I could eat it every day! Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

I had my 40th party here on Saturday 21st January 2017, and I can honestly say that from start to finish the staff were absolutely amazing! Tracy the Manager who I dealt with was not only polite and professional but a very funny and loveable lady I might add. On the night the staff were superb, from the cook making sure all my needs where met with regards to the food, the bar staff ladies were funny and very welcoming to all my guests, and the Manager on the night could not of gone out of her way anymore if she tried she was AMAZEBALLS! Many of my guests have since commented on how friendly and helpful all the staff were and some are even considering having future events hosted at The Edge themselves so that for me speaks volumes. MASSIVE thank you to EVERYBODY at The Edge who helped my party to go smoothly – we all had an amazing night!

My family and I visited for a friend's birthday event. Was confusing to find at first. If you park on the 10th floor of the car park you can walk there easily. We didn't know this and walked all the way around. Staff were very friendly, the music was a bit too loud and but not so bad the night was not enjoyable. Drinks were not that expensive either.
