The best restaurants serving Chinese food in West Midlands

Awful. From the smell in the takeaway itself to the so called food that was provided. How places like this stay in business I don’t know. They are taking the Mickey. I won’t visit here again.

Sweet & Sour is very light which makes a nice change from the glowing stuff you get in some places. The seaweed...highly recommended. Have been searching for years for a decent portion and this was delicious! The Chilli Smoke chicken is really nice as well. 10/10.

Last time we used the Hong Kong house the food was really good, but not good this time. I had a duck with mushrooms and when I opened up to eat struggled to find any duck, the few bits I found were dry and tasteless. The dish was really mushrooms carrots and onions. So we won’t be returning

To be very clear, I am reviewing the Leicester Square branch as they don't appear to have their own page. This place is absolutely awful. We walked in, said hello, requested our order and the woman at the till had the most disgusting attitude. Not once did she look at me from under her baseball cap, she barked the chosen waffle didn't have ice cream and despite me requesting vanilla, i found when receiving the order she didn't listen. I asked for a small waffle only to be barked at that they only have large. There was no please or thank you, and the till was slammed in temper. Once we got the order the ice cream was salted caramel. But my son, knowing I was agitated by her attitude decided it was likely best I didn't complain. When being barked at that the order was ready, they didn't even offer a spoon. Whilst sat eating, the woman in the baseball was constantly slamming around and the atmosphere was awful. As she got up to go behind the scenes she gave me the most disgusting look and slammed the door. If it wasn't for my 14 year old son waiting ages to try the waffle, I would have happily left it on the counter and left. We did in fact just get up and walk out. When we did walk out I realised it was only one flavour of ice cream uncovered so she clearly put through what she wanted to use it up as it was nearing the end of the day. I dont understand how someone can have so much attitude over what was a bog standard waffle. So whoever she was in the baseball cap, she is vile and should not be allowed to serve customers. We sure as hell won't go back and I really do hope she receives a wake up call soon. Never again.

Called in after attending a gig at The Assembly, only a couple of shops down from the venue. Very friendly lady serving, polite and chatty. Ordered some spicy ribs and some very spicy rice which was fantastic!

I was told they can't wash a wok to avoid food allergy risk. Singularly unimpressed. Shame allergies don't count under disability discrimination!

Ordered takeaway ,Asalways service 100/00 lots of meat in our dishes beautiful cooked not too much veg.Flavour fabulous piping hot asalways.

Lovely food but tonight the satay king prawns were very dry and overcooked which was disappointing. Prices have risen too and they charge 20p for one of their white tiny carrier bags online!!

Ordered our food at 5-45 before we so called rush and was told 3/4 of an hour…all good ..however two and a half hours later it arrives…Luke warm at best ☹️. The experience was marred by the complacency of the staff and driver who just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. In all a very bad experience.

been a few years since we ordered from here and we will never order again . king prawns in batter were under cooked as for the chow mein i think they dropped the salt pot in it

Used to use this place quite often couple of years ago as they were rather good. Called in and ordered a dry chicken chow mein. Got a wet one swimming in soy sauce, quality poor, I think that's possibly why they did it wet to hide the poor quality of the contents.

I have been coming here since its opening in the very early 80s. I moved to London in 1986 and whenever I'm home I have to stop by just for the large pancake roll, which BTW is not nearly as big and at £3.40 is not cheap either. I ordered 2 x pancake roll and 1 x salt & chilli ribs, total £14.30. Went to pay with my card and was informed I have to spend £15. I reluctantly looked at the menu but I did not want to spend another £7 on a dish when I wasn't that hungry. I really wanted to walk out but I needed my pancake roll fix, so I agreed to be charged £15 for my £14.30 order... I was then shocked at how expensive it has become, most dishes are over £7 and on par with what I pay in London. I am super pissed off and having been a loyal customer for over 40 years, I don't think I'll be back.

Esto solía ser un lugar bien, es sólo una comida para llevar, no un restaurante. Creo que ha sido tomado. Desde entonces he estado 3 veces en cada vez que me han enviado con comida para llevar de otra persona, entonces las chicas de mostrador no son muy inteligentes anoche, era el único lugar abierto, así que en contra de mi juicio, decidí comprar a todos un chino de nuevo, todo era incorrecto, estaba parcialmente allí. Estaba destinado a haber platos vegetarianos que resultaron no estar llenos de carne. Tenía una gamba y cebolla de primavera de jengibre, lo que me ha puesto muy enfermo. He estado despierta toda la noche y ha estado saliendo de ambos extremos. Estoy escribiendo esta crítica a las 4: 30 de la mañana todavía en dolor los nuevos propietarios claramente no son tan buenos.
