The best restaurants serving Chinese food in West Midlands

Called in after attending a gig at The Assembly, only a couple of shops down from the venue. Very friendly lady serving, polite and chatty. Ordered some spicy ribs and some very spicy rice which was fantastic!

I was told they can't wash a wok to avoid food allergy risk. Singularly unimpressed. Shame allergies don't count under disability discrimination!

Probably the best Chinese food we have ever had! Actually not probably most definitely the best! Special chow main is a must 😊

I have been coming here since its opening in the very early 80s. I moved to London in 1986 and whenever I'm home I have to stop by just for the large pancake roll, which BTW is not nearly as big and at £3.40 is not cheap either. I ordered 2 x pancake roll and 1 x salt & chilli ribs, total £14.30. Went to pay with my card and was informed I have to spend £15. I reluctantly looked at the menu but I did not want to spend another £7 on a dish when I wasn't that hungry. I really wanted to walk out but I needed my pancake roll fix, so I agreed to be charged £15 for my £14.30 order... I was then shocked at how expensive it has become, most dishes are over £7 and on par with what I pay in London. I am super pissed off and having been a loyal customer for over 40 years, I don't think I'll be back.

Ordered takeaway ,Asalways service 100/00 lots of meat in our dishes beautiful cooked not too much veg.Flavour fabulous piping hot asalways.

Had the brown sugar bubble milk. No brown sugar in it. Asked for some, they said they don't put brown sugar in. Challenged them why it advertises brown sugar, they then put disgusting liquid sugar into plain milk with boba. Would not recommend. Clearly don't know their products!

Had a takeaway fir eight adults on Saturday night. Obviously we had a large range of dishes between us. Food was ok really liked the yuk sung but the chicken balls were a bit doughy. I think Oakengates has better options out there to be honest.

Normalmente no escribo reseñas, pero esto fue más que espantoso, así que como cliente habitual siento que tengo que despotricar sobre esto. • Rollos de resorte que faltan en el pedido. •Pollo con salsa de limón, el pollo estaba seco y empapado al mismo tiempo y masticable se hubiera pensado que se recalentaba en un microondas. Es una verdadera lástima ya que esto es normalmente tan bueno. •Pollo con salsa de ciruela - el mismo resultado tan seco/soggy y masticable, no se lo daría a mi perro. Desperdicio total de dinero por casi £ 40. •La salsa de curry estaba apagada. • Normalmente tenemos papas fritas y se sazona con un poco de especias, pero hoy en día, o su chef está enojado y decidió que todos necesitan sentir dolor o tiene un chef nuevo que claramente no puede cocinar y eso es con TODA LA COMIDA! Necesitas probar tu propia comida y si crees que es aceptable después de haberla probado, entonces deberías cerrarla.

After a very long day at work I decided to order some food from there guys. The speed was incredible and the food tasted very nice. More than happy and I am glad I chose you.

The food here has always been just ok, but tonight, overcooked, burnt smelling food. We tried to eat it as we’d made the effort to collect it and didn’t really want to have the hassle of taking it back. If they had any pride it should never of left the kitchen door!!!! Most went in the bin. Im not a fussy eater but this was terrible. Never again, complete waste of money.

You know how they say not to cheat on your hair dresser? Well don’t cheat on your Chinese!! Tried this place for the first time last night as my usually Chinese takeaway wasn’t open. Paid £20 for tasteless food only to end up with food poisoning! Won’t ever use this place again. Some of the chips was hard in the middle, chicken didn’t taste like chicken, didn’t eat much of what I ordered and I’m so poorly, god knows what I would of been like if I ate it all!
