Avoid at all costs!!!!! Food was late, stone cold!! Had Cantonese chicken & the sauce resembled dishwater!! I have had many Chinese takeaways over the years and this has to be the worst!!

Before this was taken over, I would of avoided it like the plague, but since the new owners have taken over it is so much better its worth having as a backup to your favourite Chinese takeaway like I do when the one I use is closed. Update October 23: Giving this place a 1 star due to really bad food poisoning will never order again

Ordered food at 6:40pm for it to be delivered between 8-8:30pm, I had phoned the restaurant at 8:45pm as no update had been given in regards to delivery, it was clear that they had forgot about my order as the guy I spoke with on the phoned couldn't find my order, I was then advised it'd be delivered "now" I the recieved a phone call from the driver saying he would deliver it in 5/10 minutes, 20 minutes had past and still nothing, tried to complain to uber eats however they couldn't get through to the restaurant either, overall I'm eating my dinner an hour late, the food was cold, chips were soggy, money wasted, if you're going to order from this place I would highly recommend collecting it or going somewhere else!!!

Ordered via Uber Eats as my usual Chinese takeaway is closed for a few weeks. The food was really bad. Very dry chow mein, hoisin cause which was incredibly salty. I ended up throwing most of it away 😔 Salt and pepper chips were good though!

Always look forward to my takeaway. Great delivery time and service. Good size portions. Used this takeaway for many years.

Nearly a hour late Phoned for a update on where the food was and the guy who answered couldn’t of cared less, no apology nothing which was even more annoying Won’t be ordering again

I love coming here, we have been using fortune house for at least 6 years now and we keep coming back even close to midnight🤣. The food is also so delicious. Thank you fortune house, I will keep coming !

Seeing as just eat the censored my comment so nobody could see it il post it here. Gave me food poisoning from literally two bites of the beef, it was very old & re cooked meat.

By far the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever ordered from . Food arrived cold and inedible. Took one bite of a spring roll and spat it out . Tried to force myself to eat the chicken chow mein but nope couldn't it was tasteless and the chicken was horrible like rubber . All gone in the bin . The chilli salt chips were horrible all I could taste was sesame oil .

Food was ok .. spoze ... Curry was small .. but nice ... Noodles ... Average... Nice / small portions for money .... It's just ok ... Nice but small ... Just average... Nothing to spectacular.. it's nice

Great food, very good prices and even at 4 miles away the food arrives hot. Plus they do a proper Thai green curry.

the dish is a delight, sensational, with an appealing reddish brown colour to appeal to the eye as well as the palette, steamy and warm and the egg fried rice really complements the chicken, beef and prawns, I could have eaten two, marvellous

This dish was excellent and delicious, succulent king prawns, chicken and been in an inimitable secret chinese sauce. I've tried to make this at home honestly I have no luck with it, very tasty dish

unfortunately the special curry is meant to come with meat, chicken and king prawns, a few of each, and the dish arrived without any king prawns at all, which is unfortunate. I called them about it and they said they'll take extra care next time

we order from here lots of times, food is good. lady yime we had seaweed missing this time we ordered nearly £60 and had half the order missing! typically it was what the kids had ordered that didn't come. after speaking to the restaurant and being told 10 to 15 mins for it to come out we waited. 45 mins later we are told 5 mins, 10 mins later and a very hungry 11 yr old at 9.35pm we gave up. won't be ordering again.

Have had food poisoning. The ‘spring roll’ was battered and there was literally a puddle of oil in the bag in came in.

ordered around 8.30 took over 3hrs to arrive phoned shop to be told that the driver was going to Sainsbury's then to me with my food this was about 23.00 so Sainsbury's was closed, waited a further 30 mins when I phoned again I was told the drive had lost my order and they had to re cook the order by this time my 3 year old had fallen to sleep whilst waiting for her dinner, when order had arrived the food was cold although I was told they had just re cooked the order. poor service tonight.

Well worth ordering from here, food was very nice

Some food was fresh some food wasnt, stale recooked chips, I paid £7 for 8 crispy stale dried to the bone niblets not chicken wings. Not happy, wouldnt buy again from here.

Ordered at 9:40 said it was coming between 10:20 - 10:40 called the shop at 10:41 to just check how long it was going to be lady on the phone told me 5 mins it’s now 11:17 the shops now closed and still no food terrible

the food was amazing as always but was very late. I wasn't told about the delivery being delayed until the status was changed to delivered so then I phoned. i understand about staff shortages but if you can't deliver on time, either keep people posted or decline the orders. again the food was worth the wait though. thank you

Chicken balls very dry didn’t seem fresh. Prawn curry mainly mushrooms not prawns, ver oily.

Don’t usually leave reviews, used to eat here all the time and it went down hill, heard new people have taken over so gave it ago again, food tasted great however I’ve now had food poisoning for two days from the special chow Mein

The only Takeaway I use. lovely and hot on arrival and generous portions. Good value for money.

I got the special curry, I love it and love the sauce, succulent pieces of chicken, tender beef and fat prawns in a mouthwatering traditional chinese curry sauce, onion too which I really like, the special curry and duck curry are some of my favourites, and Fortune House never disappoint, delicious

everything was great except chips were undercooked, I did phone them was told to come round pick them up, I explained I can't, reason for delivery then just had phone put down on me, was only trying to tell them next time hopefully better as one of my favourites is Chinese chips, will order again as always enjoy but the phonecall has put me off a bit

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! My dad has just ordered from here got halfway through his meal and realised his food was mouldy he called the restaurant to let them know and he was spoken to very rudely and be called a liar even when we have photo evidence, stay away from this restaurant!!!!

Ordered through Uber eats on a Saturday night expecting a long wait, but it arrived really quickly at the same time the app said. Food was all warm and tasty, best Chinese we’ve had in a year- far better than the local chineses. Was confused when I saw the reviews… Singapore vermicelli was spicy but amazing

The food was cold not edable had to throw it away and request a refund I shall be sticking to garden moon in future. Also forgot my water as said they will give me 2 when I order again I won't be ordering from fortune House again

Ordered for Delivery using Uber. Food was okay for the discount I had when ordering. Driver was very rude and obviously does not like his job working for fortune house. Arrived very angry looking and rushed. Handed us the food said “ fortune house” and walked off without saying anything and leaving the gate open which he flung open to begin with. Very unprofessional will not be ordering again. Uber asked me do I want to leave a tip, the only tip I would leave is advice on how to interact with customers better which pay your wages.

Food was great only problem was is one of my items was missing I told just eat and no refund or anything so I paid almost 7 pound for just mushrooms

Absolutely shocking service! I requested extra items in my rice as I always do and offered to pay extra on delivery as it didn’t give me an option. I called them as there was nothing added to my dish when it arrived was told I had to pay for it??? It stated that in the note for the owner to argue with me and put the phone down! The food wasn’t the best very bland I won’t be ordering room here again sadly

I've ordered the special curry from Fortune house a few times now, it's one of my favourite curries from any Chinese restaurant and Fortune House do it especially well, with tender king prawns, succulent chicken and lamb and some juicy mushrooms, all in a thick spicy Chinese sauce, great value and very tasty, highly recommended

I'm glad the portion size was so small as the salt and pepper chicken was unedable due too how incredibly salty it was. Also the spring rolls were soggy and had barely anything in them. First and last time I will try this place.
