Had a phone call he was a disgusting person yo talk to I have used this takeaway for years over ever again

Today I collected an order from this Chinese takeaway for the first time, and it was a complete disaster the whole order went in the bin! The salt and chilli prawns were absolutely disgusting — completely lacking flavour and texture, the prawns were rubbery and overcooked. The Singapore fried rice was so dry it was inedible, and to make matters worse, it had pineapple in it, which I’ve never seen in Singapore fried rice before. To top it all off, the sweet and sour chicken balls were burnt! Good job we don't have false dentures! We asked for the chow mein to be cooked in very little oil, it came swimming in oil! This was by far the worst Chinese takeaway we have had, and definitely won’t be coming back. Avoid at all costs! We're be travelling 30 minutes back to our old takeaway!

Ordered sweet n sour chicken balls no sweet n sour sauce so check your order. Meal very dry as no sauce, at least the mushroom curry was OK for my other half.

Really rude staff, we were given the wrong order and change. They kept putting the phone down when trying to speak to them. Would not recommend!

The best Chinese takeaway in the area without a doubt! Even on the nights that they are busy there is no drop in the level of service or quality of food.

Fabulous Chinese takeaway food, as good as I've eaten. The fact you struggle to get through on the phone at busy times says it all. I'd suggest supermarket ready meals for the negative commenters.

I’m shocked at the reviews I’ve just read. We’ve been going there for five years now and not once had any issues with food or service. Yes sometimes it can take several attempts to contact them as they are very busy. Service has always been with a smile. Polite when talking orders and picking up. Best I’ve had.

What a shame. We lived in four oaks for 30 years. Came back to visit family. Thought we would try a Chinese. What a load load of rubbish. Chips cold. Rice had a strange flavour Not nice. Curry sweet. Starter platter was processed. Ribs dryed up and well over cooked. Would not return nor recommend.

Had a takeaway a while ago from here. Was our first and last. Poor quality and taste matched.

Average quality Chinese food, always served hot. No problems with that. They NEVER answer their phone. Gods know I've called them. Phone line is always ringing at other end. That's the only grope I have with this Company. There is another Chinese food shop in mere green that I may well try in future.

Extremely rude staff and food was very under cooked. Raw chicken etc. Avoid if you don't want to be ill 🤧 1 star because you can't give a minus or zero

Favourite Chinese around! The food is always full of flavour, piping hot and portion size is great. Order is always spot on, staff are friendly (especially as a returning customer). Can’t beat this Chinese, highly recommend!!

I live 5 minutes away and they never answer the phone absolutely no respect but when covid caused lockdown they answered every time. It’s midweek they’re not busy cus I’ve just sat outside and watched them ignore the phone due my number coming up time to find another Chinese takeaway that wants the business

We’ve been regulars for years.when they make a mistake they refuse to admit it. Despite being told no meat should be in one of the dishes we were sent a noodle dish full of prawns, beef, pork & God knows what else. This isn’t the fist time this has happened & I explained this to the lady & I explained that my husband said “No meat”, in fact he said it twice! We ordered a dish with Tofu, would that not be a clue?!! But the lady owner would not accept it was their fault. So even if we couldn’t agree on who’s fault the wrong order was, would you not think it prudent to say to a regular customer, but don’t worry we’ll correct it for you? No flipping way!! In summary - if you’re vegetarian avoid this take out! Should have learnt years ago that you should NEVER TRUST A CASH ONLY BUSINESS!!!

Twice running they’ve missed items when delivered which I’ve paid for. A lot of the food was cold. Very disappointed, I won’t eat from them again!

Never had a bad Chinese from here. Prices are also much better than at other nearby Chinese restaurants.

Giving two stars because the salt and chilli ribs were pretty good. As for the chow meins, they were greasy and bland, my Singapore version was devoid of any meat/prawns. Will not be back.

Just had a beautiful meal delivered. Best salt and pepper chilli chicken wings. Friendly staff, delivered piping hot and in less than 40 mins. Perfect.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area. I especially recommend the prawn toast always a generous portion with lots of prawns in them. Food is always piping hot and delicious. Been using them for 16 years plus and never had a problem. They always say it will be 40 minutes but always deliver sooner.

Friday night 5:30pm Says open, phone line ringing out, then engaged, drove up in the end and all in darkness. Perhaps a voicemail would be useful for people trying to get through save them wasting their time.

Used this place for years but after getting my order incorrect (beef instead of chicken which was tough) I was told it was my fault although they repeated the correct order to me, also on collection had the price incorrect £46 instead of £32. Not the best value and considering they don’t take credit cards( cash or cheque) and I collected, I’m not too happy

I’ve used this take away for years and after getting my order incorrect (beef instead of chicken) for my black bean and pepper meal the after sales was horrendous. I was told I got it wrong despite the fact I’d ordered it with my daughters present hands free. Seaweed was very salty and when I collected they had the price incorrect £46 instead of £32 As for the rude man that called me back telling me i had got the order incorrect, I’ll take my business somewhere that takes credit cards (rather than cash only!!!!) and has an interest in the food they serve.

Food good however the whole menu and shop area need upgrade. Cash only which is suspicious these days.

Ordered and told order would take 40minutes. Eventually came after 75 minutes stone cold , curry sauce wouldn't even pour out of the container , spare ribs ordered without sauce were saturated in grease so much it was dripping out of the bag , chips looked like they had been re-heated a few times, prawn crackers although free were yellow and stale. Called to complain only to be met with a response that I don't own the place I'm just the messenger and the boss refused to talk to any customer but sent a message " don't order at weekends if you're going to be fussy " NEVER AGAIN . AVOID AT ALL COSTS ..!!!

I knew their cash only policy so while i was getting cash out I called my order in when I brought it home for my dad more than half the chips were black and soggy so disappointed. I never normally complain but when I called they weren’t helpful at all I was expected to run back and show them for them only to give me half of a refund so I left it be. The picture doesn’t do justice.

The food here is wonderful 😋, but I'm only giving them a 3 star because I ordered food and then went to pay and they only accept cash payments, this was embarrassing because I couldn't get everything I ordered because I don't carry cash.😔

Very quiet after 10pm tonight. I had a large spring roll for £2.50, I did consider the vegetarian alternative but didn't want six small ones. I used to use here in 2017 when I lived in Four Oaks. It's a good one, but Peking Garden and Lee Garden seem to be better.

Fried seaweed too salt to eat. More plumb sauce and pineapple than duck which was very fatty., Banana fritters just grey and soggy. Only rice was OK

Ordered food over the phone, and had order repeated to me and confirmed. Food arrived an hour later, missing two out of the four dishes ordered. Called restaurant to speak to a staff member who was of zero help, and repeated my complaint saying that we’re “only” missing the chicken balls and egg fried rice. I asked for a brand new order to be sent out, to which I was told no, we could have the missing items sent out in 30-40 mins time. Entirely unacceptable as the food which had arrived would be cold. I declined this and again asked for a new order, which it was clear would not be happening. I was then abruptly told the driver would be back in 10 mins to give us our money - which I had said we’d rather not, because we wanted our meal. The driver arrived, and asked us to repackage the food which had arrived earlier (salt and pepper chicken and chips) back off our plates into the boxes provided by the Chinese - assume/hope this is now going into the bin and not someone else’s order. Totally understand that mistakes happen, but it’s how you resolve them that makes all of the difference. Zero customer service with this restaurant and would not recommend at all.

Since 2017 we've ordered from this local Chinese and to be honest it's a 50/50 split on whether the food will be sub-par or great. In 2019 their standards rose and for almost every meal was consistently amazing, but in 2020 we had our worst order yet with 2/3 meals being awful and the other mediocre. Today we tried it again as it has been about 3 months since last trying it and we was met with the same dis-tasteful, bland, and disappointing food we'd experienced earlier within the year. Due to this I CANNOT recommend this fast-food to anyone until they raise their standards and the only reason it is't 1 star is because the food is always fast and on time.

Pretty nice takeaway. I come here occasionally and it's nice food. The accrual store needs a but of renovations but other than that it's good. The staff are also quite nice and don't mess up your order very often would choose here over star anise . Also the time it takes is very quick and almost never over 20 mins unless it's very busy. overall it's a good takeaway

Well I'm just a railway worker who had a break at four oaks and I needed something. The prawn fried rice was definitely quick to order and reasonably priced. The lady serving was helpful and polite and that is a quality I wish more people in the world have.

I have been having food from here for over 50 years! Always been called four seasons and the same family have owned it. They always remember us. Even when we moved away for a few months! Always a brilliant meal thank you

Used this takeaway for years. Seen some bad reviews but we’ve only ever had good food from here. Reasonable prices as well. Never have to wait for more than a few minutes.

EVERY TIME I order food to be delivered from this Chinese I have to pay extra for delivery but I ALWAYS receive my food freezing cold. I ordered again yesterday and requested they try and bring the food to me hot but once again the food was freezing. On top of this, I am allergic to pineapple and for some reason they put pineapple in the Singapore fried rice which they've never done before. The menu does not state it has pineapple in it. I called them to complain, they were VERY RUDE to me on the phone. They lied saying I was a new customer and that I had never used their service before, and they even tried to put the blame on Pecking Garden, saying that is who I must have used in the past. I explained this was not the case, I always order from New Four Seasons, the manager came on the phone to me and shouted at me and then put the phone down on me. I tried to call back to resolve the issue and they would not pick up the phone. I am appalled at their lack of customer service.

Order from here all the time and it really is one of the best chinese takeaways in Sutton and the woman on the phone is super polite, doesnt rush you and what not but the man who answered today was a bit rude.

Ordering at The New Four Seasons is like trying to get a doctors appointment on a Saturday- it’s not going to happen. I love this place so much, the food is outstanding and the delivery time is incredible but because of only one landline and no online service to place orders the line is constantly busy; not forgetting you always have to have the cash on hand if you ever want to order or having a online menu. I just find it a shame because they are so popular it’s actually hurting them. I’ve genuinely been trying to get through now for twenty minutes 😔

Went with high expectations thinking it would be similar to when it was the Peking. Absolutely horrible food. Staff not great with maybe one exception. Left 90% of the food. Cobra was okay. Would not feed the food on that day to a dog. I generally do not leave reviews as I believe if you have nothing good to say; then say nothing but I feel I need to warn people not to go to this restaurant!!!

I order from this place all the time as lived in the area for over 20 years and tonight I received I poor meal. The food came and it was cold and me and my partner didn’t not enjoy it to the extent we didn’t eat it. I called to complain as was very disappointed, I spoke to the manger on the phone who gave me a mouthful of abuse and was extremely rude shouting down the phone. My partner took the food back to the shop to get a refund and was welcomed with the same attitude from the owner who told him that there was nothing wrong with the food. We eventually got the money back for the order but were told not to order from them again. Extremely poor customer service considering we order from them so much and would of wrote this off as a bad meal. Safe to say we will not be ordering from them again and will be advising others of the same.

The place itself is in need of tarting up, I think the decor may not have changed in 30 years!!! The food on the other hand is great. Incredibly generous portions making it good value 👍😋

Been going for years and still the best

I've used this takeaway on a few occasions. Tonight I chose a feast for friends. Six dishes were ordered and six delightful dishes materialised. Absolutely delicious Chinese food, piping hot and consistent high quality. Only one downside. They don't accept plastic. Cash or cheque only.Still a 5 star rating based on food.I rarely review a take away restaurant but this one deserves it. Well done.

Fattest prawn toasts in town! Seriously not possible to get more rice n the Yung Chow fried rice containers than they squeeze in. Willing to make stuff not on the menu. There's not a chance in hell I'm telling you my fave though cos you lot will just read this and eat it all! Chef Kay cooks some seriously tasty food, his place, without doubt, beats all the others in the Sutton area by a country mile!

Ordered on New Year’s Eve, busiest night of the year couldn’t fault it, was hot and on time, always good, only fault is they don’t take cards so they are the only place I still use my chequebook for!

Don't go by the rather disgusting looking food photo here. It's at least as good as any of the other Chinese Takeaways around Mere Green/Four Oaks and reasonably priced. Convenient for local parking, such as it is. Shame about some negative reviews - try it for yourself. Note that it's a takeaway, not a restaurant.

Been using these for years, the wife has been using them for over 20. We’ve never had a bad experience. The worst thing that’s ever happened was when we had an extra dish in our order that we hadn’t ordered. It turned out to be delicious. Great value, great food and most of the time the food arrives before I’ve put the phone down. Customer service has always been top notch too. Friendly from phone order to delivery.

Friendly staff but the food is beyond disappointing. The Yuk Sung is like curried mash potato. The other meat dishes very very poor quality. It’s a shame but we couldn’t use them again. It’s dropped to ground zero.

This chinese take away is excellent and friendly it is a family run business and the food, delivery and value for money is excellent I have used it for years and all other chinese takeaways do not come up to its standard. The food is almost as good as a chinese restaurant, but you always loose something when food comes in containers rather than the experience and theatre of being served at a table.

Friday night is takeaway night obviously but my first time there. Staff friendly, efficient, very busy. Food plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced. What more could you want?

Been going here for years and never had a bad meal. The new Thai specials are very good if you like some heat with you meal. Usually a queue if you walk in but never longer than 30 minutes for a telephone order. Good value.

Good consistent food however do use a bit of salt. Food ready when I arrived. Very generous portion sizes. The yuk sung and big spring rolls excellent.

I purchased a number of items from the menu approximately a month ago for my family, we were extremely disappointed with the food, bland, tasteless no effort was made in preparing the food in my opinion. We had alternative but to throw nearly £30 worth of food away. I certainly will not be visiting this establishment again so disappointed.

Phoned for a takeaway this evening last time I ordered from here was 2015 the good arrived ribs was hard and burnt taste so was the noodles no apology when I rang bk the man pt the phone down he's nt heard the last my hubby will be returning this food tomoro and also getting in touch with food and hygiene rude rude man dt anyone order nothing from here they dt deserve the custom horrible horrible service u wouldn't give a what was delivered here yuk!
