Never had a bad experience with takeaway, food is excellent ,always warm when get it home , would recommend it , it’s my go to Chinese takeaway

Clean shop with friendly staff and good prices. The salt and chilli dishes are amazing. The noodles taste delicious and the beef is so tender. It’s the best takeaway in erdington.

First time visiting but I will definitely be back. Food was amazing 😍

My son ordered me a meal as a treat and it was the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. It was watery,the chichen tasted awful and it was expensive. And I have never ordered a Chinese takeaway that never gave you a portion of prawn crackers. Please do yourself a favour and give this place a miss .

They forgot are curry sauce and spring rolls but the food did taste ok

They cancelled an order I made on Uber eats about a minute after I placed the order. They are now claiming to Uber eats that I cancelled the order and because they made the food already (which seems impossible in a minute), they have taken the money out my account and are refusing to refund it. Disgraceful con of a business. Have some self respect and respect for potential customers.

Food was nice, got an extra curry sauce, £260. Was the same size tub as extra mayo from a chippy. Lol.

I've been ordering from here for ages. The food is always delicious and very filling. I usually order on UberEats and it often arrives faster than advertised in the app, which is really great. Sometimes they add a free fortune cookie or crab chips to the order. Across the 10+ times I've ordered, I've never had any complaints.

We have just finished our first home delivery which arrived before the advised time. The food was excellent both in freshness and quality and above all the flavours. We ordered on the Uber eats app but the delivery was done by the restaurant so somehow I missed out on my Uber 30% discount, however that was no problem because we enjoyed our meal. We will be ordering again from this restaurant, thank you.

Crispy salt pepper chili prawns ,, say no more , the bollox

Amazing food. We had the ‘Happy Meal’ from the menu for New Year’s Eve. The ribs are especially nice. An altogether greatly run family business. The young lad is especially helpful. Thank you.

I ordered food for myself at 9.30pm. I rang at 10.30 to check how long it would be, I was told by the lady it would be 15 mins. I called back at 11pm as they are about to close nobody answered and then 11.15 i received an email saying they had cancelled my order. Now I’ve not eaten it’s late and I’m disappointed she could of said when I rang if they had no intention of delivering to me!!! Common courtesy!! Will never order again.

We have used this Chinese for many years for family and friends. I'm shocked by some of these 1* reviews. The food has always been to a good standard and if you collect the food is usually ready to collect within 15 minutes. Great place.

Spicey fries are very, very good. Chicken could be better. KFC style - spicey chicken. Hyes, with curry sauce and a can of mirandia.

Have used China Chef for years, highly recommend I’ve never had a bad order.. Staff are lovely and meals are reasonable price.

Food arrived almost an hour late and when it did we thought we had the wrong order. Meals were unrecognisable. I ordered chow mein, what I got was a load of veg that you would expect to see on your plate with your Sunday dinner and a few noodles swimming in some, what can only be described as a pool of very greasy gravy. The curry was tasteless. The chicken was overcooked, dry and like rubber. We phoned and was told they were too busy. Based on tonight's experience we shall definitely not be ordering from this take away again. I couldn't eat my meal so it was a total waste of money.

quality hot food delivered quick and fresh as always

Ordered the 1/4 chicken English Dish. It is described as coming with onions, peas, chips and mushrooms. All I received was a bag of chips and a piece of chicken wrapped up! What happened to the peas, onions and mushrooms. It was lovely last time! After tonight I won’t be bothering again!! I think it’s a cheek what they’ve gave me!!

The only good thing about this restaurant was the nice delivery guy! The rest... HORRIBLE!!! The food tastes awful, no napkins nor cutlery in the bag! The chicken was just gross (not so sure it was chicket as it tasted soooo weird) and the noodles were like reheated leftover saltless and tasteless pasta! We had to reorder somewhere else and tgrow everything away. On top of that, the price so expensive for what it was 👎🏻

The best Cantonese food in Erdington. Extensive menu spoilt only by the poor quality of the prawn crackers.

Where to start..... Food was utterly inedible, the chicken (i am unsure if it was even chicken) was dry, yet slimy, looked like it was cooked a week ago! The chips were like cardboard, the spare ribs were grey. I rang the take away (I can’t type restaurant because it’s just not) and they guy on the phone just kept telling me that “it was how they served their food” I asked for a refund and made it quite clear I wasn’t happy. The owner apparently refused to issue a refund as we had took delivery off the food! Unsure what he wanted us to do here, like check the food on the doorstep! The whole time a was speaking some one was shouting in the back ground in response to whet I was saying in a different language and when I asked to speak to the boss I was told he didn’t speak English! (I’m assuming he was the guy shouting in the background) they told me to get in touch with just eat which I have done as the take away refused To deal with me and hung up on me in the end. I put the food away as I fully intend to return it to them tomorrow, at which point we discovered the lettuce (which was in the bag still we had just opened the bag) had come with a free bug! So in short unless you was slimy, questionable meat and dry chips that even my children refused to eat, then steer well clear, unless of course you’re in to bugs and in the need of a free pet!

Ignoring the delivery driver comments because they have always been pleasant when delivering to my house. The food is amazing. The food feels fresh, hot and always tastes great. They are super efficient with their times, we just can't fault them. I recommend spicy chips and garlic rice!

We ordered and had to wait but the food that was delivered was very good, and the free bottle of beer went down well. The chow mein was exceptional, the sweet and soar very good.

I have take out meals from China Chef quite often. The food is very good and the service is rapid quick.

I thought I was being healthy and ordered boiled rice and Thai green chicken curry but how wrong was I found a foriegn object. I called and with persuasion they came back to collect and gave me back my money.

Firstly the chow mein was cooked as noodles and then chicken added after...strange. Secondly the chicken tasted slimey, reheated and flavourless.....pretty horrific all round. Won't be back.

Pedí un chino de aquí, ya que realmente no podía molestarme en cocinar. Te diré algo que desearía tener. así que pedí alrededor de 8. 15 pm e instantáneamente el restaurante retrasó mi entrega en 30 minutos. Pensé para mis adentros. Bueno, tendré que lidiar con eso, así que el tiempo estaba llegando y el tiempo de entrega previsto, y aún no estaba aquí, así que Esperé hasta alrededor de 10 minutos después, así que empecé a molestarme. Llamé a la tienda y la persona de la recepción me dijo que acababa de irse de la tienda. Pensé que no sería demasiado. 30 minutos después, deciden no mostrar disculpas. o cualquier cosa solo una palabra "chino" como sí chino Nunca pedí un indio sangriento, de todos modos abrí la bolsa para ver mi increíble chino. Solo esperé 2 horas y el arroz de pollo frito parecía horrible. arroz para microondas diciendo que preferiría tener arroz para microondas El pollo debe haber sido una carne de sándwich con valor de Tesco Había alrededor de 6 arroz de guisantes, sabía que el agua ni siquiera se lo daría a mi perro, así que en mi rollito de primavera mi grasiento y repugnante rollito de primavera veg todo fibroso y crujiente debe casi hastiado alrededor de 6 veces todavía estoy luchando para quitarme el mal sabor de boca, toda la comida terrible, el servicio horrible, terrible, todo, por favor cierra la tienda, no funciona, ¿Salud?

awful food, absolutely no taste whatsoever and business didnt even care, just eat offered me £5 voucher as they see im a regular customer but upon calling the restaurant I was basically told they are too busy to create the food with taste! The Curry sauce tasted like farmfoods own instant curry sauce, no spice, no flavour, the egg fried rice tasted like boiled rice with bits off egg thrown in!! Will never order off then again!

Me gusta mucho este llevar, debido a mi carne favorita en salsa cantonés, la mejor de la zona. No son los más baratos, pero la comida es deliciosa. 4 estrellas porque tienes que esperar largo tiempo a veces-sé que están ocupados (señal de una empresa exitosa) pero para mantener a los clientes contentos deberían emplear más conductores-había veces que esperamos más de una hora para la comida. Yo sólo he pedido mis chino desde aquí. Gran servicio, nunca tuvimos que esperar demasiado tiempo para la entrega. Me gusta el hecho algunos de los conductores de entrega son muy amables. No me agrada la - chefs principales noche del martes, comida no parece la misma calidad! ... aún no está mal aunque!

Después de pasar cientos de libras en 2014 en este restaurante, mi novia y yo hicimos un pedido en nuestro "favorita" para llevar el día de Año Nuevo chino. Después de esperar casi dos horas para nuestra comida, pagamos en efectivo en la puerta y luego descubrimos que una taza de salsa curry cubrió el resto de la comida en la bolsa. Nos informamos y el hombre en el teléfono juré y dijo que enviar un pedido fresco. Habíamos estado esperando 2 horas y estaban dispuestos a esperar no busques más así que pedí un reembolso. Luego tuvimos que esperar unos 20 para nuestro dinero para regresar, así que podíamos ir a cenar a algún otro lugar. Recibimos ninguna disculpa y un gesto de buena voluntad por su mal servicio y compensar las molestias. Nunca nos pide de este restaurante de nuevo!

Ordered online for 6pm, and it arrived just a few minutes after. It came as ordered, only with free prawn crackers and sweet & sour sauce. Tasted lovely too! Recommended, and I'll be using again.

I think the reviewer who was asked to pick up, the meal got the wrong end of the stick, they always as if you are collecting of do you want it delivered, we have been customers here for many years and have never had a bad meal, the menu is updated regularly, Tim and Stephanie add interesting new items to it, they work hard to get the right quality of staff and maintain high standards both at the take away and their restaurant in Lichfield.

A simple Chinese takeaway, it is no frills but that standard is good and the service is quick. It is head and shoulders over other take sways in the area.
