The best restaurants serving Chinese food in West Oxfordshire South East

Delicious treat! Never had a bad meal, cannot recommend this place enough! The guy on the front desk is amazing, the food is great! Even the delivery drivers are really friendly. Past Chinese’s I’ve tried been bland and needed seasoning and heating up but I have never had this issue at peking chef. The crispy chilli beef is fantastic and the crispy pancake rolls are so flavourful and have an addicting texture!

We've been ordering from the Water Margin for a couple of years now, and the food is always spot on. Also, the service is brilliant.

Absolutely gorgeous meal! Don’t listen to the previous and recent reviews! Our first visit to The Pearl after a friend recommended it to us. We had, In my opinion, the best takeaway we’ve had for years! Non greasy, non oily, but extremely tasty, freshly cooked and fantastic value for money. The best thing for me was the sweet and sour chicken balls, ( the sauce was perfect and a natural colour, lovely consistency unlike other takeaways in the area) and the pork dumplings, wow, absolute heaven! Also the crispy chilli beef was fab! Highly recommend and will definitely return.

I've been going to this delightful little takeaway ever since it first opened some 30 years ago. Consistently reliable, service with a smile and excellent Chinese food only a 5min walk from my home! Prices are very good too! It can get busy at certain times of day and orders taken by phone can take a little time, but walk-in orders are normally turned round pretty quickly. Cash only, but there's an ATM next door. The menu is quite comprehensive, but isn't available on-line.

I stopped using Rainbow House about 15 years ago after a few bad meals. Decided to give it another go earlier this week as I read it was under new ownership but this may have been a while ago. Its a shame as the Capital Spareribs sauce was a lovely sweet and sour sauce with added punch, but the ribs were way over cooked and dry. I had the chicken battered balls and sweet and sour sauce but this lacked flavour and the batter was awful - not crisp and slightly sponge like. The chicken inside was very bland and over cooked. . A waste of £24

Terrible, took far too long to serve the food that I ordered over the counter, and there was a lot of people in the shop complaining about the wait for their order that they ordered to collect, 2 hours for one guy. The two youngsters manning the front desk/phones were great and were doing their best, but we're totally let down by the kitchen staff etc. In all honesty, they appeared to be prioritising delivery orders over everything else. Absolutely unable to recommend it, they take the word fast out of fast food.

Tried to ring through a delivery order at 2045hrs on a Friday night - collection only. Waste of time even bothering with them. Will not bother again

Arrived for pre-booked family gathering (8 of us). Closed !! No notice on window or entrance door. There was a town-wide gas outage so not very surprised but they had taken contact details of party leader and did not alert us that they were shut. Called them repeatedly but no-one answered. Some family members had driven for more that 1/2 he to meet up). Very angry - looking for at least an apology - or a free meal as recompense. What a shower you are!!

When we received Oder after 1.15min and saw that not even full tubs been served but just half . Smell and taste was just awful not Chinese at all more like burned food and money what we paid not just advocate for quality. Very poor service and bot advice nobody to waste their money on this take away .

Ordered myself a chicken curry extra spicy with egg fried rice. I have to say the amount of chicken was insane, loads of it! It certainly had a kick.

Amazing takeaway best by far in the area! Food had loads of flavour and offer a wide range of dishes and is also adding extra special dishes! Would 110% recommend!!!

It's a takeaway food is crap,not authentic and not all consistent poor chef tastes like out of a jar sticky mess vile 😫 Do not go there! 😡
