Lovely food as always and the guy on front desk is a credit to your business, he is kind, friendly and welcoming. The only thing that could be improved is that you start taking card payments as I don't normally have cash 🙂

10/10 Service everytime, Bloke who runs the place is amazing and makes you feel welcome no matter how busy it is (always busy for great reasons) Food is amazing and fairly priced. One downside is the delivery can be hit and miss, sometimes late and cold but rarely…so I prefer to pick up. Other than that by far my favourite Chinese in the area. Highly recommend over any other in the area.

Absolutely vile food we received last night (27th September 2024),the rice was the worst I've ever seen(apart from the missus rice cooking), the chip oil needs to be replaced as it don't look like its been changed in weeks. We will now travel somewhere else for a Chinese

Our “go to” Chinese takeaway. Food is always amazing, good prices, and the guy running the place is an absolute legend. Always friendly and courteous no matter how crazy busy (and they’re always busy). Some of the best Chinese food my family have ever had. Even beats Chinatown restaurants I’ve tried in NYC and London. Highly recommend.

I had a chicken chow mein which was really tasty. I love the fact you can have it dry fried or wet with veg in it. Would recommend other dishes they do. The owner is such a lovely friendly person as well.

Wow, first time using Peking Chef as we've always used New Dragon in the past but they were shut tonight. So glad we gave them a try as the food was outstanding, really tasty and the service from the guy on the counter was also brilliant! It was all significantly cheaper too and we discovered that they will deliver to Faringdon for only £2 so we are now converts and will be using Peking Chef from now on! Nice plus to get the free sac n crack too (prawn crackers and fortune cookies). Loved it!

What I love about this company - they cater to single households that only want half portions. They are quick, reasonably priced and reasonably portioned. The American guy on the phone provides the best customer service!

Been using Peking Chef for 10 years, never ever been disappointed with our meals, consistently excellent food, brilliant portion sizes and tastes really good each time we come. Do I even need to mention Alex? Awesome dude who is so friendly and helpful, always has a smile on his face and its never a problem if there's something you want to change about one of the dishes. Was prompted to write this after trying a different Chinese as live closer to a different takeaway now, can honestly say I won't be going back to the one I live near and would happily drive the 5 miles to come collect what is clearly the superior takeaway within miles. The best Chinese I have had. The dishes are English - Chinese takeaway standard - however the ingredients and the flavour, bloody sensational, the meats just melt in your mouth and you can tell all of the ingredients are ultra fresh! The prices are also very reasonable and the guy that owns it, is incredibly lovely! Always a pleasure 😊

We ordered takeaway for delivery, food came within the hour still nice and hot, tasted great, traditional Cantonese cuisine. The free prawn crackers were enjoyed a lot, thank you!

Peking Chef (Carterton) is the best Chinese Takeaway in West Oxfordshire, without a doubt. I have been eating from this outlet for over 20 years. I can't find any fault - everything I've tried is delicious. Even something simple like Egg Fried Rice is really good from this takeaway. Thank you Alex and the team.

A good standard chinese with great service, friendly staff and tast food. Can be quite busy later in the week especially Fridays. The only dissapping thing is they do not accept card, which I would love for them to implement.

Ordered a delivery at nearby Burford. Everything arrived late and all the food was cold. We rang to complain and were told it would be 2 hours for another delivery. Such a shame because previously the food has been excellent.

I am not a local but used it twice one week during a week away. I have to say it was probably one of the best i have ever had. Highly recommend the singapore noodles!

Chips, noodles and. Urdu sauce - chips Barely cooked. Curry not good at all. Chicken in garlic and chilli sauce - chicken was slimey and tasted of firelighters. Chicken wings - good.

First time take away from Pekin Chef. I ordered Beef Szechuan , my fave Chinese dish , I ate this in the past 20 years or so. This time what I've got was some beef and veg swimming in a sea of SWEET CHILLI SAUCE. I HATE ANYTHING that tastes sweet . The food ended in the bin and I've had fried eggs on toast for dinner. I WON'T go back 😯

Best Chinese by far within the local area. We have not had a bad meal in the 20 occasions we have used this takeaway. Very reasonable price wise, and the quality of the food is never jeopardised. This is our only go to Chinese!

I have been ordering from the Peking Chef for 20+ years and was always our go to chinese, however recently standards have nose dived. The takeaway we received at the weekend ended up in the bin. Chicken wings smaller than a sparrows and over cooked, rice that resembled rice pudding, and a gloopy curry with dry inedible meat. Wont be using again.

Food was delivered late and was cold. Chicken satays were very chewy. Sweet n sour chicken was under cooked, chow mein tasted bland. Will avoid in the future..

Such a shame! Don't have many takeaways but always go to peking chef out of the 3 in town....Always get a discount when collecting but the chips were absolutely disgusting....we'll overfried, dry and inedible.....please try harder.....

Have been getting our Chinese food from here for many years. We live very close but too lazy last night to pic up so got delivery. Everything was cold, cold chips, cold rice, cold soggy chicken balls. No way was this cooked fresh! Tried to ring to complain but cdnt get through! Very disappointed for our Anniversary!!! Note went back to try again and collect this time! Food was great piping hot and although the owner didn't like my review he did give me the order free!

This is our third meal from Peking Chef and it was fantastic, as always. We had a family get together and they all said how good the food was. Thank you for the prompt delivery and great food.

We have used this Chinese takeaway for a number of years. Prior to lockdown the food was amazing plentiful and very tasty. We travel 22 miles for the experience. I dont know whats happened but we've had 4 poor meals in a row. Our adult kids have said similar and no longer use the place. So its with regret that we also will be voting with our feet. Got to be a different chef or poor quality of food. Rice is really bad probably reheated Alex you must notice the customer drop off. Can't do it any more.

Excellent service and outstanding takeaway, meal arrived within 20 minutes of ordering, still piping out. I can not remember ever eating ribs before from a Chinese restaurant that literally fall off the bone! Good quality ingredients makes for a great meal, best we have had in a long time, thank you.

Best Chinese around, I live in Witney and still come to this over any other. Alex is so lush and friendly, the food is always cooked to perfection and delivery is pretty speedy. You always get a fortune cookie and who doesn’t like that?
