The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Guildford South East

This is the second time me and my mate have used Tong Tong. The got a sour soup is divine. Food is excellent. Lovely delivery driver and on time.

We travel a 40 mile round trip to visit the Mandarin. When it comes to Chinese cuisine we won’t go anywhere else. If you can remember back when a night at a Chinese was a real treat, then you will love the Mandarin. It may not be an Ivy Asia inside but it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s all about the food and the lovely hospitality. Traditional, reliable and consistently great. You’ll notice the difference when you order prawns on toast, it’s actually chunks of prawns not mince and the fillet steak Chinese style, well it’s actually fillet steak! But there’s so much more on the menu, enjoy but don’t tell anyone else!

Went Friday evening, car park out back is a great start, staff were great and very attentive, at first it looked empty but it’s a big place so only one section was open which is a good thing because then the atmosphere was still great, felt busy. The menu is huge, difficult to choose if you don’t already know what you want but they do offer a few set menu options to make it easier. Overall the food is good, not exceptional. It’s expensive though. I’d happily pay the money if the food was top notch, but the ribs were dry, prawns lacked much taste (likely frozen) and presentation was average. Overall a nice evening and good restaurant but pricey.

Worst Chinese I have ever had … special fried rice was stodgy and no flavour, black bean with chicken … I have no idea what the meat was but it was slimey. Prawn toast burnt and no flavour… expensive and disgusting!

Very disappointed. Bland over cooked greasy food. Service is slow even though not busy. The takeaway has been in the village as long as I’ve been alive but unfortunately a few years ago it got taken over by a new family and has gone down hill ever since. First time we had been in about a year as it wasn’t great last time but gave the benefit of the doubt but definitely won’t bother again. Over priced over cooked slop.

The food here is bland, greasy and absolutely disgusting. I have been to this takeaway on and off for the last 20 years, and whilst it’s never been good, yesterday’s meal was put straight in the bin. This is the last time I will ever go to this take away,

I’ve ordered from china express and food was amazinggg💕 and the lady who was serve was very nice.

I went to T4 with my friend and really loved it. The bubble tea that I ordered was incredible and just what I needed to cool down on this hot day. I would really recommend as the flavours, combinations, staff and their recommendations are great! Thanks T4!

We decided to give this place another try but sadly regretted it. Arriving you are immediately greeted by a rude lady shouting “only cash only cash” Within a minute before you have had a chance to look at the menu, she then shouts “ what do you want? What you want”? There are never any pleases or thank you a thoroughly vile person . The food is okay, but not special or worth the awful experience .
