This is the best Chinese takeaway in Guildford. The food quality is great and a good portion size. I haven’t tried the delivery, but for pick up it’s always well packaged and remains hot till I get back home. The chicken chow mien is beautiful, although I notice the portion size has reduced. 100% recommend this place

Great Chinese meal delivered to our door. Online ordering didn't work, so called. I think they had a new employee who struggled to take the order and then sent it to the wrong address. The delivery driver called and all was sorted. So, great food and even if things don't go well, they deliver your dinner!

Tong Tong is a fantastic cantonese takeaway. The food is delicious with plenty of meal options on the menu. Our meal was cooked perfectly and very flavourful, not too oily which we really appreciated. The service is always very friendly and prompt. I'd highly recommend Tong Tong and will certainly be using it as my go-to takeaway in Guildford!

My kind of Chinese takeaway, curry was the just right spicy hot similar to Thia. I wasn’t once disappointed with my choice of meals & to top it all off it was reasonably priced.

I've ordered from Tong Tong several times and really enjoy the food! I'm vegetarian and there are many options to choose from! Take note, they dont take card online, and it's not obvious on the website until you go to checkout - a minor frustration!

Very disappointing. Poor quality. Sweet & sour pork was mostly chewy battered deep fried sinew and fat. Rice very dry. Chow mein bland. Won't be going back.

Ordered food to be delivered, 45 mins waiting time which was fine ! 1hr later no sign so gave them a call. They apologise for delay and said due to new drivers food was on the way. Half hour later still no food. I call as we are less than 1 mile away and given this explanation, you can cancel your order at anytime ! So I said why offer delivery if you can’t deliver in your recommended times ? No acceptable answer from tong tong so cancelled order. Beware this takeaway as you may end up with hungry disappointed guests like me. Avoid

One of the best Chineses I've had in a long time, you get so much and it's not too expensive either, the chicken balls were honestly huge and I got 8 could only eat 3 cause they were so filling so saved the rest for left over dinner the next day yum. Delivery didn't take long to arrive either.

The quarter duck was delicious and the chicken chow mien went down great too. Very quick too.

Ordered the chips and chicken balls and chicken with mix veg, the chips were horrible and reheated stay away from the chips

The best Chinese in Guildford, their crispy shredded beef is to die for and they are always quick and very good prices. The staff are friendly, if a little over worked but don't go anywhere else if you don't want to be disappointed!

I had special chop suey with no onions. It didn’t taste like usual and had so much chopped garlic in that it was unpleasant It has never had garlic in it before. I had salt and pepper chips and asked for no onions. Unfortunately this was ignored and they were covered in spring onions. I have always used this restaurant but will have to look elsewhere in future which is a shame.

Food was fantastic, as always except 1 item this time which was absolutely disgusting, inedible and a complete rip off, I orded Mini spring rolles and this is what I got! Pure uncooked been shoots 🤮

Extremely disappointed with this order. Firstly they do not accept card payments online, had to spend £2 to withdraw cash in order to have the food delivered which left a sour taste from the start. More than half of the food was ACTUALLY inedible. The special chow main was tasteless. Prawn toast was too greasy. The sweet and sour chicken balls were poor in quality, and also too greasy. The rice.. well it was more of a brown mash than rice.. These all went to the bin. We did however enjoy the satay sauce and prawn crackers. The rest was OK-ish at most, but certainly the worst we have had in the area so far. Definitely not worth the money spent.. Delivery however, was quick.

Food is a always lovely and fresh, however I’m not sure if they have changed the chef as the order was far too salty! However this was rectified the next time I ordered as. Asked for less salt

Called at 7pm, lady said hour and a half max for delivery. We called at 8:30pm, the lady said another half an hour.. so i called at 9:10pm the lady then said another half an hour. She kept lying and said it’s half cooked every time we called. Not sure why they would accept the order if they couldn’t deliver it within the hour and a half let alone 2 and a half hours.

Excellent fresh tasty food definitely a quality meal

Regular customer of this takeaway, food has always been good. However tonight, we ordered takeaway and after an hour of waiting we called to check where it was. They said there was a backlog in the kitchen however it was on its way, waited another hour and still no food. Called again and they said it's still in the kitchen. Clearly they just didn't bother with our order or forgot and despite our first phone call, chose to make up an excuse rather than be upfront and truthful. Cancelled the order and will no longer be ordering from here again.

Ordering online is easy. Food is average. Some of the dishes were a bit bland. I was surprised that although I ordered over £40 of food, they did not offer prawn crackers for free. Maybe it is a Guildford thing. Where ever I have been, they have always given them for free when you spend over £10.

Sadly, I received tough and dry chicken and pork in special rice for a takeaway. However, I will give Tong Tong a second chance at some point.

Excellent crispy chilli beef! We ordered to feed 6 adults and it cost us about £70 and it was delicious! Crispy seaweed, chicken satay, lemon chicken, chicken chow mein, beef chow mein were a few we tried. On time delivery and great prawn crackers too!

Excellent takeaway food and promptly delivered. Very tasty. Unfortunately we won’t be here much longer otherwise we would definitely order again. Thanks.

A fabulous Chinese takeaway that is always busy as it is so good. Staff are friendly and never had a bad meal from here. Only improvement would be if you could order a delivery online and pay by card instead of cash.

Wow wow wow one of the best Chinese take away in Guildford. Food was amazing and can't wait for my next visit. Chilli and garlic prawn is one of my favourites and since moving to Guildford from London this is done on point just how I like it. Staff were amazing and friendly even tho they were very busy at the time and had to call my fiance as I forgot my wallet and to payment while I called to get pay while I was there over the phone. Best Chicken and Sweetcorn soup I've had in years! I enjoyed my takeaway meal so much, reminded me of being a child in the 80s and always being excited when my mother bought home Tong Tong takeaway. I have always loved your sweet and sour pork balls, they taste just like I remembered :) A £1 delivery charge is awesome and everything arrived hot and delicious!

Love it. Definitely one of the best Chinese takeaways in Guildford, great food. A fantastic neighborhood restaurant putting the rest to shame.

We have tried it for the first time and everything is perfect, punctual and delicious food, we tried the menu for two and everything was quite good, what we liked the most was the sweet and sour pork and least of all the rolls, we will repeat for sure, I wish they could do the payment with online card and not with cash.

This is my favourite Chinese take away in Guildford and although I’ve tried others I always return here. The quality is excellent and the staff are friendly. Delivery can be very quick or take quite a long time depending on what day of the week you’re ordering but even on the slower days it’s always hot when it arrives and so worth the wait. If you can collect then it’s very quick. Highly recommended.

I ordered a delivery which when arrived was wrong had a new order sent out of crispy aromatic duck with pancakes all i got was what i would consider the left over bits of fatty skin and the fatty bits of duck went straight in the bin wont be ordering from tong tongs again

Popular take away as it took quite a number of attempts to get through to order by phone. Ordering was easy. The lady spoke very good English. She told me the wait is approximately 1 hour but it turned up after 35 minutes. All the dishes were nice. Still warm when it arrived. Would definitely order from again.

Love this place! Best Chinese food in Guildford! Always lovely to be served by these lovely ladies, always so helpful & friendly. Happy to reduce spice if you don't like the food too hot. Really vast menu, catering for all tastes. My children love it. We don't go anywhere else (even when they closed for a while) I'd give 10 stars if I could!

The best oriental take away in Guildford

This was lovely to take the time to go and get a take away. Lots of nice variety to choose from and really enjoyed the Singapore fried rice options they have. Very fast service too and look forward to popping down again sometime.

After a long search this is the best Chinese takeaway in Guildford. Friendly, fast and always really tasty. Recently discovered the chilli chips, absolutely banging! If they could offer a vegetarian equivalent to the free prawn crackers that would be amazing.

Pre-ordered for a specific time by phone and it was delivered at the requested time. The food is quite nice. The sweet and sour was a bit sharper than I like but it was ok as it was quite sweet. Beef and black bean sauce and green peppers was spot on. The only disappointment is with the payment. The driver asked we had exact change as he did not have any so we ended up giving him £2.50. I don't mind giving a tip, I normally do but having it impose on you in this manner is not right. So make sure you have the right change with you. This is not the take away's fault, more the driver. Shame

Taste of food is OK, but the price of one pair chopsticks is not reasonable:50 cent. Too high... The food tastes pretty good, Hong Kong style, but they don't provide chopsticks. . . A pair of chopsticks costs £0.50. .

Avoided this place for a while because it looked a bit dodge from the outside, but decided to give it a shot. Nothing I would classify as “amazing”, but still really really good. It’s the standard of Chinese take out that you’d want. I got Hong Kong Chicken, egg fried rice, veg chow mien, prawn toast, prawn crackers, and dumplings (a lot of food, I was hungover). Delivery was super fast and food arrived all correct and piping hot. Hit the nail on the head. Will order again

I've been ordering take away from here for years - it's lovely. Good value, good delivery service where good price. I thoroughly recommend it. You get 8 King Prawns in each dish - double that of a other nameless local Chinese restaurant I've reviewed recently! Always tasty and they've never mucked up my order or delivered late!

Finally a decent Chinese in Guildford! I have been searching for the holy grail and I can see that others have also found it here as well from the reviews. Ordered the duck, mixed starter and sweet and sour pork, and wasn't disappointed. This will now be my go to Chinese. Well done tong tong! 👍

I’ve been through most chinese takeaways in Guildford and this one is my winner. I highly recommend the spring rolls and the Szechuan Tofu. It’s funny though that after about 10 orders I’ve not seen the same delivery driver twice 😂
