The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Brighton and Hove South East

My son had wanted to go all week as he had learned about Hot Pot dishes in Japan in school. So we went there in the middle of the afternoon where no one else seemed to eat lunch/dinner. We were met by a very nice host who explained the system to us and as we were two adults and a child (12 years) recommended that we only made 2 hot pots as this would be plenty of food. We picked the ingredients and they were carried off to cook. Not very long after they arrived steaming hot in two big pots and it tasted delicious. I had never tried it before and it was a wonderful and great new experience which wasn't very expensive either. The Chinese cabbage was the biggest surprise. Who could know it would taste that good!! As the host realized that my son was into One Piece, he even put on the sound track from the Anime. Can highly recommend this place.

We came here often. Lovely Chinese lady who is always really friendly. We tried the noodles this time. Both dishes we ordered were really tasty. This is one of places that local Chinese will come to eat👍

Amazing food! Very authentic and reminded us of our time travelling Asia. The staff were incredibly accommodating moving us to another table as I couldn’t sit on a soft chair due to my back injury. Couldn’t recommend more!

Hands down the worst Chinese I’ve ever been too. And I’ve visited a few. All they cater for are couch potatoes that don’t even like Chinese but like what they can do with a fryer. Absolutely clueless 😂

Después de leer las críticas esperaba algo especial, sin embargo, sentí que el lugar no estaba a la altura de sus expectativas. Los fideos tirados a mano con pechuga de ternera eran lo suficientemente agradables, pero los fideos son casi como mini láminas de lasaña y hacían que la parte superior del plato fuera pesada y robusta. El plato no tenía suficiente sabor y tuve que añadir más vinagre y salsa de soja para animarlo. Sin embargo, lo peor fue la porción de carne de res que venía con los fideos que era demasiado pequeño, de ninguna manera lo suficiente, así que se sintió un poco arrancado por esta parte (por favor, ver foto). Toda la comida era pesada, densa y sosa. Ten cuidado con los tamaños de las porciones de proteína que no estipulan lo que muestran en sus fotografías anunciadas.

Had a mango drink that was advertised as being filled with mango chunks, but came as just a mango flavoured milk tea with no real fruit at all. Didn't realise until I was home, as it was put in a bag, and when I contacted on Instagram to ask if this was a quality issue and never got a response. Very over-priced for what it was, and really felt like false advertising to me. Wouldn't go back unfortunately.

Its very ok, food is good and generous

Really bland food and small portions.

Unfortunately the service was poor. It was Valentine’s Day and while I expect restaurants to be busy, we waited over an hour for our food- by which point we were brought the wrong dish. Bear in mind it was a set menu- and the first course was literally 3 bites of food (1 prawn ball, 1 dumpling and 1 set of chicken pieces, appetiser size). This wait time was the same or worse for the diners on either side of us. Service was incredibly slow, even for tap water. It was clear the staff/kitchen were overwhelmed and the food we got from the set menu was underwhelming and oftentimes not hot, or with parts missing (no pancakes for duck pancakes and no side plates to eat off of). Don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I order £50 of chinese to my home, delicious great for boxing match, very good very nice!

Is China China still open? I went down there with a business friend two Saturday’s ago- peak evening time - and the restaurant was closed. I called the China China number just now and the message was Number Unobtainable. One of my favourite, fun restaurants in town. Hope it’s only a temporary closure.
