Would I recommend this place to a friend.. No, because despite the quaint experience inside the restaurant, I find it hard to justify the ambitious price because the food was average despite the back stories. Great setting, great service, average food, expensive cost.

We had a fabulous evening here at Coppa Club earlier this week. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Loved it. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back again

Great stylish restaurant in The Lanes. Could not fault the ambience, decor, staff and service. Our waiter (Eddie, I think) was the perfect host. We sat inside in the beautiful cool of the restaurant on a very hot day in Brighton. We opted for the crab linguine and Buddha bowl with halloumi for our mains - both were excellent. For desert it was sticky toffee pudding and tonka bean pana cotta. I’ve deducted one point for the latter; whilst looking and tasting fabulous it had way to much gelatine in it so there was no classic “wobble” or smooth texture that a pana cotta should have. If I’d dropped it on the floor it probably would have bounced! Otherwise an excellent meal.

Have been using this place for 7 years now and not once had a bad meal, I would highly recommend this place for a banging Chinese.

In my opinion this is the best Chinese take-away in Brighton!!! Huge, tasty portions, great value for money, free home delivery locally and friendly service! We've had food from here over a dozen times and have never been disappointed! Keep up the great job!!!

🤢🤢 worst Chinese I’ve ever had yesterday

After last weeks great meal we thought we would treat ourselves again. Unfortunately tonight was so disappointing the mixed starter was poor ribs dry and satay. Then the king prawn red curry as photo was v. Poor not even red. The hong kong style pork was very tuff and all in all a not an experience we wanted. Call the restaurant to complain and a very nice guy said next time we would receive a free starter not any refund, unfortunately we will not be ordering again.

Quick enough collection, friendly staff and reasonable price. Food was just disgusting! Sweet and Sour was so runny and watery, also the batter on the chicken is like doughnut batter. Won't be going back myself.

Sadly after 15yrs of great food we've finally had to call it a day.... this was the last takeaway we will ever have from Hong Kong Garden. It was inedible and had to go in the bin.

This is our local and they pulled it out of the bag again. Ate last night in the middle of our craziest times known in my lifetime and the Food was Amazing. We as a family would recommend to anyone in the area . Always Great food. Always friendly. Always order too much! But love it. Highly recommended Chinese. Thanks Guys👍

Gave them £20 including tip for one of the worst Chinese take away, spring rolls under cooked, BB ribs salty sauce ect, ect, not happy binned it still hungry

Absolutely delicious, piping hot, good portions. Yummy yummy... We will certainly be using them again ( I don't normally like take aways but this was super).

First time we've used HKG and it was excellent. Arrived in 30 mins and the duck was perfect. We'll be back.

Do not order if you have an allergy!! There never consistent 1 week to the next it could be great or it can contain everything you ask it not too !! The last 4 times they messed up the order putting shrimp in the rice nearly hospitalising me as I’m allergic to shell fish !!

Es una pena que no tengan un sitio web, ya que tuve que conducir a la tienda antes y fotografiar el menú en la ventana. Sin embargo, valió la pena para la mejor comida china que he experimentado. Una revisión sin sentido. Tuve pato crujiente, bolitas de cerdo agridulce y arroz hervido. Una comida estándar para uno, nada extravagante y en el mundo de comida china, creo que es bastante común. Pero la comida se hizo muy bien, sin grasa en el pato o las bolas y el arroz era encantador y esponjoso. Y para colmo, la salsa agridulce no era esa naranja luminosa que se obtiene en algunos lugares, sino más bien una menos dulce, de color rojo intenso. En general, la comida era excelente. El local estaba limpio, los precios promedio y el macho chino que me atendió fue muy amable y agradable. Si estoy en el área otra vez definitivamente volveré.  5 de 5.

Recientemente tuvimos una comida para llevar de Hong Kong Garden. ¡No es el primero y no será el último! ! Nunca nos ha decepcionado, por decir lo menos. La comida siempre está recién hecha, sabrosa y te deja con ganas de más. El personal está más que feliz de adaptar un pedido a su gusto y está deseoso de agradar.

Great Chinese takeaway . Good portion sizes and non greasy food always fresh and tasty. You have a lot of choice and the food is always hot and never greasy a great takeaway treat.

Not a amazing review but if you are in the portslade area and you want chips and curry sauce and chicken balls this is the place to go the chips are amazing and crispy and the sauce it thick and spicy and perfect

I visit this place 1 a week as it is a minute walk from my house and all I ever have in the 5 years I have been going is chips, curry sauce, chicken balls and vegetable mini springs roll not that adventurous I must admit however there is a valid reason I have had the same meal 200+ times over the last 5 years !!!!!!

Having returned to UK from NZ, I was desperate for a traditional Chinese takeaway and Hong Kong Garden didnt disappoint. The food was amazing, so good my mouth is watering just thinking about it!! We had a set meal for 4 plus a few extras so plenty left over for breakfast!!! THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
