My son had wanted to go all week as he had learned about Hot Pot dishes in Japan in school. So we went there in the middle of the afternoon where no one else seemed to eat lunch/dinner. We were met by a very nice host who explained the system to us and as we were two adults and a child (12 years) recommended that we only made 2 hot pots as this would be plenty of food. We picked the ingredients and they were carried off to cook. Not very long after they arrived steaming hot in two big pots and it tasted delicious. I had never tried it before and it was a wonderful and great new experience which wasn't very expensive either. The Chinese cabbage was the biggest surprise. Who could know it would taste that good!! As the host realized that my son was into One Piece, he even put on the sound track from the Anime. Can highly recommend this place.

I got the medium spicy ox bone broth. Its mildly spiced broth compliments the beef and hot pot meats. The service is so excellent. Will definitely come back for more! The experience is so great! A must visit! So worth the experience and taste!

Mr. Wang immediately approached me and asked if it was my first time. I was tired and when I unknowingly added a non-vegan item to my basket he was patient with me, pointed out the item and then allowed me to start over again. When the piping hot soup came it really restored us. We were tired from a trip to the Seven Sisters (cliffs) and the soup just restored and uplifted us for the train home. We are so grateful for the personal touch Mr. Wang has. We even took our leftovers home and used them to restore us the next evening. Love this place!!

It was my first time trying hot pot so I was not familiar on how it works. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly with suggesting what works best together and explaining every option available that I wasn’t familiar with. The food was also amazing and I had a pleasant experience, would definitely try again.

Third time I’ve been here and each time it’s been better. You choose your ingredients raw which I chose shrimp egg noodles, mushrooms, Chinese cabbage, Thai fish cake, Giant prawns, chicken, beef, frog legs, fish balls. Then you take your selection to be weighed and choose your broth. Your meal then goes to the kitchen to be cooked. Then you make a little dish of sauce from about ten ingredients. Take a seat at a table and within ten minutes a boiling hot pot is brought to your table. They are individual pots for one although quite large. The price is by weight of the items you choose plus the broth. Mine normally cost between £12– £14. Very nice and the flavour is what you’ve made it. Nice staff in a nice clean environment.

Went to Mr Wang Chinese hotpot on Sunday with my whole family. Quite a risk when one of your kids is pretty fussy. I didn't need to worry, though. Even the fussy one loved her noodles because it is so fully customisable, and with such a huge variety of ingredients, there will always be something delicious to choose. When you go in you take your tray and some tongs and go to town choosing your protein, (we tried the massive king prawns, lobster balls, squid, seafood lucky bags, frog legs, pork balls, huge mussels, crab sticks and fried tofu, all totally delicious.) Then you add vegetables of your choice (lotus root, broccoli, seaweed but many, many others) and your choice of noodle. This then gets weighed at the counter, and you choose your soup, an Ox bone broth in a variety of spice levels or a tomato broth. The lovely staff then take away your choices and arrive a short while later with a lovely steaming hot, large clay pot full of luscious food. The bone broth and the cooking method feel really healthy and was deeply warming but the whole meal feels like a decadent treat with all the authentic ingredients. Once your pot arrives, you can augment it with chilli oil, spring onion, garlic, and our favourite, a creamy peanut and sesame sauce. It's rare that we all walk out of a restaurant loving our meal, but we certainly did this time. We are coming back Mr Wang. 🙌

The hot pot was great, and they had a wide range of items you can add to your broth. Would recommend the fish and pork balls!

Hands down my favourite takeaway. The vegan range is absolutely brilliant and all delicious. I think I am addicted to the vegan yasai fried rice! My Mum came down from the midlands recently to visit and ordered the chow mein which she said was the best she'd ever had. So much so, I have just ordered one for her to take up there with me tomorrow!

Hands down the worst Chinese I’ve ever been too. And I’ve visited a few. All they cater for are couch potatoes that don’t even like Chinese but like what they can do with a fryer. Absolutely clueless 😂
