The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North West

Food is awful salt an pepper chicken few spring onions and onion threw on top of chip beef mushroom awful no taste think they needa new cook awful food

Myself, my girlfriend 2 others visited this place on Friday night on walking in the smell of damp and stale water was shocking, there was a manky hand written sign on the door stating that the place was due to close in November due to retirement ! When we was shown to our table the smell was shocking there was damp patches above our table and it was clear to see vents had been installed to allow air to flow along the joists however this meant the stinking air was released into the dining area. On ordering drinks we was told certain drinks where not available which was not a good start. I have to say the food was not too bad but far from the best I have had. My girlfriend and her friend went to the toilets, which had no lights, where dirty and smelt dreadful nearly causing my girlfriend to be physically sick. I went into the gents and it was the same no basic cleaning had been done in my opinion for a long time ! I personally think this place is not closing due to retirement but more down to the fact it needs a lot of money spending on it and they clearly do not want to bother, the staff member who served us was only a young girl and said she did not take food orders and she was only there to serve drinks so we had to wait to have our order taken. It is a good thing that this is closing down as it is dreadful place to sit and eat. It cost us over £100 for food and drinks and is over priced in my opinion !

Perfect every time we go. I’ve lived in the area for around 3 years and Gordon’s was highly recommended by a friend, I stupidly didn’t go for at least a year, but once I did try it I refuse to go elsewhere. The staff are always lovely too, very kind and communicative.

Very happy to stumble across Century during our one night stay in Kirby Steven. Fantastic food and great service. They managed to squeeze us in after we turned up without a booking. My beef in black bean was very good.

Best chinese in warrington. Use them at least twice a month. 20 quid for there party box a 14 inch pizza box rammed with food to fill 4 people!!

Good always good, freshly prepared, friendly staff good pricing, definitely recommend. We like to try different Chinese dishes so this is not just a review for salt and pepper chips or chicken.

Went here with friends for a pre booked table for lunch. Downstairs looked lovely and had a great feel to it, however we were dumped upstairs in what I can only describe as a works canteen. Tables were dressed in cheap paper table cloths, a fork and spoon on a cheap napkin and dirty menus just dumped in the middle of the table. Starters of soup and spring rolls were good but no prawn crackers ??? Main courses were bland and over cooked and looked awful before we even tried them. Staff were totally not interested in our table at all, one was rolling his eyes when we were trying to order, no one asked if we wanted more drinks, no water on the table, in fact they could not have made it clearer that they wanted us to eat up and ship out. Save your money and eats elsewhere.

Very poor food was under cooked, sent it back and left. Shame as previous chef his food was the best. Will never go back as long as the new owners are in charge

First class service. Very enjoyable first visit. Will return for sure. Carers for fussy non meat eaters

Food was pretty good and staff were friendly. This is cash only, but you can't blame the company, banks and card companies are jokers slicing off free money

Came here for ours sons birthday. Amazing food and all very fresh. Staff are great and will bend over backwards to get you what you want. Highly recommend a visit 😊

Absolutely delicious food. We had a little family gathering and wanted a little Chinese buffet. All of the dishes were delicious full of flavour and lots of meat and veg, and very fresh ingredients to.Our guests were extremely happy and thought it was the best they had yet. Not one complaint from them. We asked for it to be ready for a certain time and it was. Thank you so much for your amazing service and obviously for the amazing food you provided. Best Chinese we've had and we come from Warrington for it. Thank you again

We had an amazing takeaway from Kong san in April and so decided we would visit for a meal. We had a two person banquet and it was very very good. The food was really tasty and the portion sizes were generous. The service was exceptionally good and food arrived and plates were taken away with perfect timing. We will definitely be visiting more often.

Thought we were going to have a superb takeaway judging from previous reviews. We paid top dollar (£59- which we were pre warned about when ordering) for two mains with egg fried rice. We were sorely disappointed and felt thoroughly ripped off. The mains were average and the fried rice was gloopy. Never again. Save your money.
