Been coming the Silver Star for years, best Chinese by far. Food is lovely and the staff are always very nice. Cant beat the quality & taste

Absolute diamond of a chinese, we go all the time. Food always unreal and the staff couldn’t be nicer, family run business and cannot do enough for you. Prices are really low as well for the quality of the food! If you are in the area and reading this debating whether to try or not, just get in there you’ll be glad you did!!

Came here tonight for the first time. Every dish was really delicious. Hot and sour soup was lovely. Decent size portions. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and very attentive. Dishes were served quickly. Very reasonable prices too. A gem of a place! Can't wait to go again!

Lived in area for just under 2 years and to be honest struggled to find a decent place to eat. Tried here was really surprised. I'm not a massive Chinese fan but thought this was excellent. Food was great. Service great. Fantastic value. It's very small so best book and it does takeaway and is busy with people collecting orders so that is a little downside. But otherwise excellent. We ordered a large family Order and informed the silver star that I have a nut allergy. The AMAZING team not only changed the oils they cooked in for all of my menu items, but then labelled it in a Separate bag. Credit where it’s due - amazing service. Food Was delicious. THANK YOU

I visited this restaurant in early December with my friend, were were after a relaxing few hours and a great restaurant experience not had chinese for a while. When we entered the restaurant we noticed how cold the temperature was, it was only 6pm so we thought maybe but hadn't been open long. We ordered a beer each from the waitress and then very soon after was asked 3 times if we were Ready to order , a bit pressured we thought. Also the wine list had disappeared from the table and had to ask twice for it. We ordered our banquet and awaited our soup, this was tasteless, iv never had to add salt to chicken & Sweetcorn soup! Our red wine arrived and it was freezing cold! I mentioned this to the waitress and she said "well it's not been in the fridge". Our combination course of ribs, spring rolls and seaweed was really nice but the mains were not, tough pork balls and chewy chicken. Untill we asked for a break the meal was very rushed. We didn't enjoy the experience and won't be returning.

11-13 Nevill StreetWent for Sunday buffet. £17.50 each. Interesting variety of Chinese food, (different to normal buffets which added to the experience), fun experience. As you would expect with a buffet, some of the meat was not the best quality I felt.

Maghull MerseysideCosy little restaurant, best hot and sour soup I have had, seven of us ate, we had a wide selection of food all of it was very nice, service was also super! Highly recommend.
