The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North Hertfordshire East of England

First, the waitress offered to “order for us” and make it an omakase style. That’s not what I wanted. Although I was given the option to order more when they served all the things they picked, I couldn’t order all that I wanted to eat because I didn’t want to delay everyone else. I came here for a buffet but I wasn’t given the chance to order what I liked. With that said, the majority of the dishes aren’t worth trying anyway. The fried rice is good. The shredded cucumbers and spring onions is also good. Everything else? Not so much. The chicken in the first dish (deep fried chicken?) was stinky! I really wanted to spit it out but I couldn’t do that on a table. Very disgusting. And later I had two dishes where the meat carried a dishwashing liquid flavour. The pancake in the duck dish tastes dry and powdery. I wonder how it became like that. The duck and the sauce were quite different from the classic Peking duck. And the classic is called classic for a good reason. The wontons had very thick skins and the soup was very salty. I would advise the chef to just buy some frozen ones and boil them in plain water instead of making bad wontons. It is very sad when you have so many things on the menu but in the end I had to fill my stomach with fried rice. Well, at least the fried rice was good.

Awful. Poor food quality, rude staff. Food was cold and too moist. Staff told me they hate me because my name is Michael. Wow.

Absolutely best Chinese around, been ordering for years. Very very reliable on quality and taste! I can’t remember ever having a bad meal to be honest

I think they sold off their business as there are Indians working now something you never saw before only ever had Chinese working in the shop in there but for a long time now their prices have been rising way too much and the quality has dropped seriously low this is the last time I use this place the food was horrendous the spare ribs were so spare I was amazed to find bone let alone meat. to say this was seriously disappointing is a understatement.

The staff overcharged me and my friends and they were quite rude rushing us to pay and the food was vile it was cold and the meat was chewy and looked old like it had been a week old do not go here you will waste your money and end up ill.

Rang for a take away meal, gave full post cade along with full directions as to where exacltly we were situated. It's a straight road from turning off the A10. We were told that they were busy and it would be 30-45 minutes delivery time which was fine. 55 minutes later the food still hadn't arrived. I Got a phone call from the delivery driver saying he couldn't find us, so I again told him where he needed to be. So another 10 minutes, and another phone call later from a nearby resident using his phone,saying he couldn't find the house, between us we managed to direct him down the road to where after yet another wrong turn, he finally managed to get to our address. I was outside waiting for him after the first phone call approximately 15 minutes, only to get inside and unpack a cold meal. I had to microwave the meal to make it an edible temperature. For a cost of over £25 the service was very poor and the meal now soggy having been microwaved was also poor. I rang within 5 minutes to let them know the situation and they simply didn't care and lied about the expected delivery time. Well having checked my phone log in I know who was telling the truth and it wasn't Wing On. Poor meal, service and attitude. Very disappointing all round.

Ordered a take away from this place. The worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The noodles were cold, dry and had a really bad flavour, they tasted like they had been made a week ago. Dumplings also had a terrible taste. The only upside is that they were quick.

Ehhhh OK vomit inducing,stodgey and gristle,now if this your idea of dinner then go for it, mine went into bin AGAIN yes again, I decided to give them one last go, and disgusting slop and think place needs proper chef who understands how to actually cook a beef curry. No more chances

After being told the wait was 45-60 minutes, we waited over 2 hours for food to call and be told that it would be at least another half an hour. We used to be regular customers here and the service had always been somewhat slow but this is the final straw. I’d go to any other Chinese in Hitchin before Bodilys. If you can’t serve food within 2 hours you’re clearly not capable to run a take away.

I normally order a great bowl special curry with chili's. I have tried various restaurants in Letchworth and I am very happy with the meal that I get from there. My compliments to the chef Also the staff are friendly. The boss is very friendly and courteous. Well worth a visit
