Wing On in North Hertfordshire

Rang for a take away meal, gave full post cade along with full directions as to where exacltly we were situated. It's a straight road from turning off the A10. We were told that they were busy and it would be 30-45 minutes delivery time which was fine. 55 minutes later the food still hadn't arrived. I Got a phone call from the delivery driver saying he couldn't find us, so I again told him where he needed to be. So another 10 minutes, and another phone call later from a nearby resident using his phone,saying he couldn't find the house, between us we managed to direct him down the road to where after yet another wrong turn, he finally managed to get to our address. I was outside waiting for him after the first phone call approximately 15 minutes, only to get inside and unpack a cold meal. I had to microwave the meal to make it an edible temperature. For a cost of over £25 the service was very poor and the meal now soggy having been microwaved was also poor. I rang within 5 minutes to let them know the situation and they simply didn't care and lied about the expected delivery time. Well having checked my phone log in I know who was telling the truth and it wasn't Wing On. Poor meal, service and attitude. Very disappointing all round.

The chicken with cashew bits was not good. I couldnt eat it. The chicken must be boiled in mono sodium glutamate. It has a slimy, unpleasant texture. The crispy shredded beef was nice, and the crispy duck pancakes good. Bit avoid the chicken

Had a takeaway delivered Saturday evening. It was very quick, which was brilliant. All tasted hot and very nice. The battered prawn was lovely and we all enjoyed the food.

Consistently good take a way, large menu, delivery, quality food, lovely family, long established in Royston. Chinese and Thai dishes. Highly recommend.

Ordered a take away from here as wanted to try a new Chinese in the area. The food was really bland and just lacked flavour. First and last time ordering

Staff always polite and helpful. Food superb, always piping hot and on time. It would be great if they one day take card payments🤞

Whenever we're in Royston (several times a year), we grab a takeaway from Wing On. I ADORE the sweet & sour beancurd (tofu), my son lives and dies by their crispy seaweed (sic) and Mum usually chooses special rice, which contains more food than she can actually manage. The staff are really friendly, the food is always good, we're never had a wrong order. Prices are really good, portions are decent. Cheap delivery, or free over £25. CASH ONLY.

Had a really nice take away from her with our friends (they recommended trying it). The food was really nice and the meat was good quality. We all had a main meal and a selection of starters and it was only £35 so was a very reasonable price.

Friendly and helful lady took our order over the phone. Our food was delivered within 35 minutes and was piping hot and delicious, highly recommended the chicken with cashew nuts and yellow bean sauce. Will definitely use again.

Maybe New Year’s Eve is not the best night to judge them on, so will give them another chance as they were snowed under with orders. But the food was delicious, hot, good sized portions, prawn crackers were free with our order and they gave me a free large bottle of coke to apologise for the delay. Cons? Fried rice was missing from our order and I didn’t find out till I got home, also there cash only so it’s a good thing I had enough on me! Although when I rung about the missing food they did apologise and offer me discount on my next order and a free replacement of the missing item with my next order as well. So if they stay true to there word I will be very impressed.

Don’t usually use this take away , but definitely won’t be using it again , the spare ribs were so tough was hard to get the meat off the bone , then was so hard to chew . Also had a special curry , again meat was so tough was hard to chew , was very disappointed, the staff are lovely & friendly & order was processed very quick , shame the food was so bad
