Ordered early giving plenty of time. Weak excuse about road works, they definitely didn’t contribute to the 30 minute delay. Why didn’t courier let us know.

For years my family and I have always used this place for our Chinese takeaway, but never again. My chop suey was disgusting. It was so bland it didn't taste of anything. and it had hardly any colour. The sauce was just water, and it seemed as though the meal had been stored in water. The worst Chinese I have ever been served in over 50 years.

Food was very fresh and tasty. Veg still had some bite, salt and pepper tofu was delicious. Delivered with care from a friendly driver.

First takeaway from Magic Wok after recomendation from a relative and bad experience from usual takeaway Chinese restaurant.Had spare ribs with lemon , they were tender and juicy . Mains were duck with vegetables , four happiness , pork chow mein and special fried rice .Each dish was lovely and hot tasty and plentiful . Nice to get complimentary spring rolls . Will definately be ordering from them again .

ordered at 5pm for 7pm delivery no food delivered by 20 past 7 called up and my order hadnt even been started now having to wait 45mins extra

Magic Wok has been our favourite Chinese restaurant for years however the prices have gone through the roof since 2020. Today we ordered the Special Mixed Hot D’oeuvre which should have included satay chicken - Unfortunately there was no satay sauce. Just Eat said our food would be delivered between 7:45 and 8pm. It arrived at 8:30. This is not the first time it’s been delivered over 30 minutes late. I think the restaurant needs to contact Just Eat to change their delivery times. Disappointing

Just ordered a meal from Magic Wok. After a hard day's work, was really excited of having a rare takeaway. I don't know what's happened to them but ALL the Chicken we ordered was under cooked. We have had to throw most of the food. Waste of £46

The fish has got a black sticky tarry like substance on the bottom. it is not the skin. It tastes horrible

chicken balls were alright but would not recommend the beef chowmein, by far the hardest thing to ever eat, the beef so overcooked its just black, dry and no flavour at all.

Most of the food was very bland, especially the garlic broccoli and the rice. Nice chow mein though. Delivery time kept being pushed back and ended up an hour and a half late.

Ordered chicken balls and there was half chicken balls and half prawn balls which could be very dangerous if someone had an allergy. Quality wasn't checked. Beef in the chow mein was very tough and couldn't be chewed.

I was looking for a good chilli/salt tofu and I found one! delicious! The other dishes were good too and delivery was prompt even though I'm a good distance away from Hitchin

Dunno why everyone is having a pop at magic wok, me n the misses ordered last night everything was decent tasted good, did think they was a bit stingy with the prawns in the chow mein but turns out they was all hiding at the bottom. Oh n the bag it comes in is a nice touch good quality bag guys well done

Amazing how much food was there

Sadly will no longer order from here. The removal of the 'create your own set meal' is the final nail in the coffin, food has been up and down in quality of late, prices steadily rising. Has been our staple 'go to' for years, but will no longer go here.

Ordered at 6.30 for a pre order time of 8.30, didn’t arrive until 9 and was missing items

Disgusting, the worst Chinese I have had. Ordered delivery and nearly two hours later it turned up. Food was cold and tasted horrible. I’m not sure what pandas are eating because there must be no bamboo left with the amount of bamboo shoots we just threw away! Chicken balls were balls of grease. Prawns in the dumplings were cold. Sweet and sour sauce was like water. The deal was you get prawn crackers when you spend enough, we didn’t get any with our order. Chow mein, I’ve never seen anything like it, part of the sauce had turned to jelly, hardly any noodles. The most expensive dinner my cats have had in a long time.

Horrible food tried to get a refund from just eat but the ticket has been closed. Chicken was definitely off.

Sweet and sour sauce was watery and tasteless. The special fried rice was just egg fried rice with 5 shrimps (I counted them as I removed them from the rice) with a few chunks of chicken and beef. The rice was soggy, no flavour. The vegetable spring rolls were also bland, tasteless. one of the worst Chinese meals I've ever ordered, threw it in the bin without eating it.

Great delivery but food was awful, S&S chicken was more like crispy chilli beef and was only half a tray full, padded out with boiled rice! Crackers were soggy, seaweed was chewy and bland. Would not recommend.

Ordered a meal through just eat, and left instructions. Magic wok didn't receive the notes through just eat, even though I had a screen shot! and when I called them, they were so rude, and refused to send out correct item (a misely bbq sauce) absolutely shocking customer service. Out of principle I will never order from these again. I was a regular customer, you'd expect more. Avoid, they don't care about what they do, just take your money

Only positive about the whole order was that it was hot. The food was completely inedible, dry and chewy, lacking in any kind of flavour. Have asked JustEat for a refund.

Didn’t receive my chicken balls on delivery had to call and wait for them to bring them out again

Entire sauce leaked into the bag. Everything covered in Lemon sauce, resulted in 10 minutes wiping everything so we could eat then Lemon chicken dish no sauce so straight in the bin. Rest of the food was okay but not as good as normal.

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. Something seriously wrong with their pork balls, made me throw up. All the other food was overcooked dry and not quite right. Threw it away wasting 50 quid. I dread to think what their hygiene and food quality is like. I will never eat there again. Magic Wok tastes like a decomposing co**.

Genuinely terrible food, dry and tasted of nothing. Really disappointed. Broccoli was the only edible bit really, the noodles were rubbery and gross, wonton soup was flavourless.Such a shame!

Food was cold and clearly had been out a while ago warmed up poorly, was delivered within about 25 minutes of ordering with a 15 minute drive. Dread to think how old the food was.

Worst Chinese take away we’ve had. Won’t be going there again. Food was soft not crispy. It was as though it had been reheated not fresh.

Overall food was lovely, random bonus free bag of chips. However the vegetables with chilli was actually quite bland and the vegetables were only onions and Pak Choi wouldn't recommend that particular dish but otherwise nice.

Delivery was late, food was cold when it arrived and wasn’t edible. You can see it was late as i was notified. The delivery driver then couldn’t find my address and I had to walk up the road to meet him.

We’ve ordered from here many times from here and usually it’s on point but tonight both beef dishes were inedible - the Salt & pepper prawns not as great as usual…. The mains being pretty disappointing

The meal was arrived 20 minutes after the latest time we were given and 25 minutes after we were told to 'enjoy your food'. The restaurant could not tell us where the food was. We are regular users of the service, but tonight was very disappointing. If the food will be delayed, we should be notified.

Food not nice, threw it in the bin. No Salt and Pepper flavour on the food just chilli flakes, very disappointed. Onions where tinged black, which means they were pre-cut and left out. Never again.

I have to be completely honest, this had to be the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever eaten or not actually really eaten at all. First time I’ve used this takeaway and definitely will not be using again. One dish was wrong, I got rice instead of noodles but hey, this happens. The quality of the food though was awful, cold I really don’t know how to politely describe how bad it was. I’m sorry, I don’t like giving bad reviews but this was a whole other level!

The food arrived cold and was of terrible quality. We couldn’t actually eat it. I would not recommend this takeaway at all it was awful!

Mostly good but the bean curd and the vegetarian duck were undercooked and soft.

Have called numerous times but no answer, both need cheers had jelly around the meat and not cooked properly.
