The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Ipswich East of England

Ordered food for delivery for the first time and on recommendation from friends. Sadly our experience wasn’t a good one. We ordered pork with honey sauce which didn’t have the slightest taste of honey and came with pineapple and a watery offering of sauce. The pork was overcooked and dry. The duck and plum sauce didn’t have the slightest bit of colour or hint of plum sauce although the duck was very tender. A good chicken chow mein and reasonable rice but we probably wouldn’t order from here again. Quite pricey for what we had

Terrible service. Delivery took two hours, missing items, tastes awful. Avoid at all costs!

First time here at My Chinese, The food was excellent,fresh and full of flavour! The staff were really friendly and attentive, she even showed me how to use chopsticks! Will definitely be going again!

Went at the weekend to celebrate mine & my partners birthday and as normal amazing food. All the staff were very welcoming & polite. Would highly recommend A++

Me and Husband came here for a date night. We had booked over a month in advance. When we arrived we were told that we only had the table for an hour. This was not explained to us on phone. From the minute we walked in the whole experience was incredibly rushed! We had literally just finished our starters and the main came out. Although the staff were lovely we felt a hindrance for being there. Our table wasn't even set up with nice napkins we got given paper ones. When we finished our main they took the table cloth off and we hadn't even finished our drinks. The food on the other hand was incredible. So tasty and one of the best Chinese's i have been too for great quality food.

Dropped by here a couple of times with company last minute cos who doesn't like noodles... Looked like my chopsticks had bite marks in them.... Food was ok, convenient place for a date.

Good food, GENEROUS portions, friendly staff. All round excellent experience!

Ordered a house special curry with mushroom fried rice. Had to wait over twice the delivery time. Don't get me wrong.. lovely food.. just not what I ordered. Not even a king prawn in sight. Will spend my money elsewhere in future.

Food and service is beyond excellent and has remained that way all the years we have used it for our irregular meals out!! Last visit was yesterday evening 21 March 2025, when I personally received such kindness due to immobility and having forgot to bring my walking stick‼️ From moving our booked table to a one much nearer to the food containers, Giving me an arm to steady me to it, taking my chosen plate of food to the table and making sure we were given special attention by the lovely waiters. All of which made a special night out with my Daughter in Law even more special. Thank you all.

I have been visiting Spoons in Ipswich since it was opened in 2018. I have always made bookings through Jenny and have never been unhappy with the service I have a received. I have found the food very good always.
