Great value for money .ost off the food was great especially the ribs all in all very good will deffo be going back .

Didn't book but we walked in at 6pm and they had table for us. Thet were not yet too busy at that time. A very good variety of dishes nicely presented, with a few made to order selections. Apart from the mains that are reasonably seasoned, I am especially delighted by the salad bar and the desserts bar. Very clean toilets as well.

We visited for the first time on a Saturday night. You definitely need to reserve a table as this place gets unbelievably busy. The food was great, especially the Chinese. There was a kebab bar, and cook to order steak and calamari grill, a chocolate fountain, a crepe station and much much more. The food was actually really good and at £19.99 for an adult you can't complain. We will definitely be going back.

All you can eat gummy. More veg dishes would be a good addition.

I went for the second time in the last 4 years and I see that the prices have increased, no surprises, but the quality isn't at the same level. The choice is greatly reduced and most of the items are salty to my liking. Good to try once.

It was good before COVID but now quality and taste all gone!

We were invited to a buffet to celebrate my sister's colleague's birthday at Spoon. Unfortunately, we arrived just 30 minutes before closing time, so I couldn't enjoy the buffet experience as much as I would have liked. Nonetheless, I sampled a few dishes and particularly enjoyed their lasagne. The broccoli was also cooked perfectly to my liking. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant.

Spoon buffet exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was inviting, with stylish decor and cozy lighting. The food was mouthwatering, offering a wide variety of flavorful dishes. The drinks were superb, perfectly complementing the meal. A must-visit for any food enthusiast!

How do you still have customers? Firstly, I called to make sure they knew there were two birthdays in the group, and they told me themselves that they would give us a cake and so we brought only one more. Right from arrival, staff are rude and dismissive, the staff at the bar overcharges me for a bottle of wine and refuses to refund me. After we eat, we ask for the cake we brought and the cake they were supplying; it is warm, indicating it was not put in the fridge but left out. As for the second cake, they tell us they didn’t know about the second birthday and will bring us a slice of cake. Just before we cut the cake they tell us they’re closing in 10 minutes and leave the front door open. Genuinely save your money and go to a different restaurant or just don’t go out at all.

Cocktail are rubish not real ,made 100/cente of juice,money grabbing, the resta are fantastic,food,atmosphere, and the service,but the supervisor money look like should be more friendly.

World buffet, a few Chinese, Indian dishes. Some seafood choices, Turkish doner kebab, vegetables, sausages, chips, nuggets and pizza and more plus selection of deserts. The restaurant was bright and clean and had good atmosphere.

Took my mum here for mother's day. I booked a table which I recommend if your gonna go at peak time. The food was going quick but the staff were great at keeping everything replenished. I was surprised because even though it was super busy the staff were very freindly which I haven't normally found in buffets. For us it worked out at £23 per head that was with unlimited fizzy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🤩🤩

The food was good, what to expect from a buffet, good selection, we went when it was a quiet period but still busy.

We took our Granddaughter and friend for dinner. There is so much choice and most cuisine tastes are covered. A serve-yourself buffet, so you can eat as much or as little as you like. Staff regularly attend to check all is OK and are quick to clear tables. Good value for what's on offer. Highly recommended!

Nice place for a get together with family and friends. Service with a smile. If you are looking for a place to have a nice meal with friends and family, this place is a must try. The buffet options are brilliant for the price. My family and friends loved the experience so much so that they now recommend this place to others vehemently. Car parking is available within walking distance of the location.

Great Place and lovely food , staff is also very friendly. I went for my wife’s birthday on last November and Jenny ( can’t remember her name ) in front desk lady was very help me a lot and arrange a birthday cake as well…

International choice of foods. Each dish has allergy information. Plates cleared quickly. Popular and busy but not too crowded at the service buffet bars.

Staff were rude from the point we turned up. Glasses were filthy. Foid was below par Serving areas were also a mess.

Rude staff. Threatened to kick us out over an honest mistake. The women who spoke to us claimed to be the manager and then told my friend that the manager was downstairs. She offered us a voucher and then said that she couldn't do it. To add to the further disappointment, half the food was cold and inedible. This is my first andante ever visit. Strongly recommended you find elsewhere

I had heard some mixed comments about spoons so I thought I would give it a try for myself. I was not disappointed! Staff very friendly in front of house. Food serving staff looked s bit miserable though. But the food was hot, very tasty and we'll presented. I would gladly go back and I shall recommend it to my friends and family. Atmosphere gone Dow a bit.

Looking forward to another visit before Christmas. The only issue I have is I have to pay adult prices for my child who is still at primary school due to their height, even though they still do not eat as much as an adult!

Food was luke warm and found some chicken that wasn't cooked properly and it was taken to the manager and she did nothing!

Came here with the kids for my husband's birthday. We always love an all you can eat buffet as the kids don't often have to patience to wait for food to be served when they're super hungry. It's such a treat for them to be able to get up and help themselves to whatever they want whenever they want. We ordered the unlimited soft drinks - £3 to have as many drinks as you like. The food was tasty but the chicken was quite dry in most of the dishes and so was the roast pork. We were a little disappointed that some of the food stations were closed and I think the tepanyaki could have been better if it had included onions and sauces. That said, we got a very generous portion of prawns and calamari which were cooked to perfection. The desserts were out of this world. We went back for thirds! We will definitely be going back again!

Food was ok , unfortunately we were seated near the door and none of the staff would close it. Had to keep getting up and close it, not much fun in winter

Not as good as it has been, the place looked tired and food was of ok standard. Some of the food was dry. The lasagne tasted like fish so I think they had used fish stocks instead of beef.

Never again! Think of it as someone going into Iceland, buying the cheapest frozen poor quality food, and reheating. No idea what the “chicken nuggets” were, but the texture was vile! Most food luke warm. Pizza like rubber. Lasagne soft and soggy. Desserts mainly empty, just defrosted frozen food. Seating so close together, hard to squeeze by to get food. Would have been better off going to McDonalds

Great place for those work celebrations when everyone cannot decide on what food to eat. Good selection of food even if a little Chinese heavy. The only thing the food was Luke warm, however they microwaved it so was much more enjoyable for me. Service was ok however the people hovering who clean the plates away were a little off putting.

It was OK, wouldn't go back, mainly Chinese dishes, some parents jist didn't care and were swearing at there children LOUD and to top it off the wife and I had stomach ache for 2 days after.

First time ever going to a Spoons, hearing so much about how excellent they are rude not to pay a visit. Greeted by some amazing staff who were instantly courteous and polite, paid £20 per person and immediately shown to a table. Very clean, spacious and music wasn’t too loud. Well when we got up to check out the cuisine we were astounded by how many dishes were available, just didn’t know what to go for first. I went straight in for the Indian cuisine & what a choice there is, second choice was Chinese cuisine & sushi, followed by pizza. To be honest there’s so much it was a hard decision to choose. We didn’t have long as we had an appointment, but you can stay all evening and just take your time and enjoy the atmosphere. Plenty of desserts to choose from from ice cream, jelly, cakes, apple crumble & custard, a huge chocolate fountain with marshmallows, the list is endless. Highly recommend this establishment from the moment we walked in we knew it was going to be great, very clean toilets, tables, I always check the floor too see if there has been any food left totally clean, which is always a big plus. We would like to thank all the staff here for a fantastic meal, Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 This establishment 💯% gets a 5 star ⭐️& we shall return for a second helping & I’ll make sure I don’t have any food the night before, so I’m starving when we get there 🤣😂🤣🙏🏻

Our first time here, we was recommended to this place by 2 different people, All I can say is.wowww perfect. If you've never tired octopus before your chance to had it with sushi bar.Staff absolutely friendly. Jenny the manager was spot on all staff superb. You can try anything and everything.

The booking process was very straight forward, even for a Friday. The food was mostly great. A varied selection. Many dishes available. However, the squid and steaks that are prepared on the grill aren't that good. The squid is very bland, even with seasoning and sauce. The steaks are fatty and small, which made them difficult for the chef to prepare as medium rare. That being said, the Chinese selection of foods, as well as the Indian selection, we're delicious. The salt and pepper prawns were perfect with a little satay sauce. The spare ribs, satay chicken, tikka masala, and more were definitely tasty! The desserts section was also varied. With fruits, cakes, ice cream, and a marshmallow table with a chocolate fountain. Very nice touch. Drinks are somewhat reasonably priced, although the bar is small and the queue can be rather long. Staff are constantly removing dirty/used dishes and cutlery and supplying new cutlery, with plates available all over, when you are ready to eat. Overall I would recommend this restaurant as I devoured 6plates of food and was very satisfied afterwards.

The food was nice, not the best place to get into even with a booking . Only had two drinks as getting served at the bar was a nightmare, not enough staff members. Good price for the amount of food you can have . Indian,Chinese,two different pizzas carvery was rubbish.

Been a few times and it’s a great place! Staff are always accommodating and quick to clear plates left at the edge of the table. Great variety and something for everyone! I also like the ungendered toilets - solely so I’m not the only one that has to take the kids!

We came here tonight on date night as was told how good it was after attending similar all you could eat buffets we were sadly disappointed. When I tried to book on the website it don't appear to work, so we rang up and lady on phone didn't seem to be able to get off the phone quick enough. When we arrived at the restaurant and seated were not asked if we had attended before, no drinks menu on table so had to look on a different table for one. We had a look around the different dishes that were available and thought there was alot things missing that we expected to see like prawn toast, more than 2 curries and no nann breads, was pork being served instead of duck with pancakes. A number of the counters were not open which on one of the most expensive evenings of the week you wouldn't expect, no kebab, no Indian and no Cantonese. Chicken and sweetcorn soup was cold and when reported to member of staff they didn't seem to understand. Deserts were dry and still semi frozen. Lack of options of deserts, barely any fruit and apple crumble had almonds on top. Most of the staff don't seem to speak very good English. Overall food quality very poor and I won't be returning or recommending to anyone.

We had to queue outside for about 39mins even though we had a booking. But after entering, it felt like it was certainly worth the wait. Top notch quality food literally from around the world. An awesome food journey and excellent atmosphere. I would certainly recommend it to anyone celebrating a special occasion

Lovely place to eat, lots of food to choose from. Unfortunately doesn't offer any gluten free options which is a shame as the place is lovely. We have been here a few times now and will definitely keep going back.

Shame I can't give a zero. Woman on the front desk robbing you of £18.95 each for some of the worst food I have eaten. Shouting at the staff to clear tables. Tryed different foods and they were awful, I know that they aren't going to be brilliant on all the dishes but you would think that they could get a few right. Never will I ever go there again.

The food is great! However, it's highly unhygienic for the public as well the chefs to wash their hands with liquid wash in a shared plate, this could easily lead to diseases spreading around.

Yum, loads of choice and plenty to eat. Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Italian, English and a spoilt for choice dessert area. Warning. Have car parked nearby - you will eat too much and not want a long walk back to your car!! 😄

If I could rate this place 0 stars I Would: Food was absolutely shocking. You would be better off eating out of the bins. Bland tasteless, chicken undercooked, hairs in the rice. Cola chicken broke my partners tooth it was so hard. Staff are rude and don’t bother taking any plates. Over priced, would rather eat anywhere other than here! Cooks not wearing beard nets etc. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

toilets are nasty, no proper paper towels just a blue roll of paper and a cheap QD plastic bin at one end of the room over flowing with paper, no proper soap dispensers rubbish broken locks on the doors...............BAR .... slow service at the bar, rubbish cider selection in fact no selection at all just one fruit one, no proper beers just rubbish lager... asked for a gin and tonic got just that... no ice no lemon..... had to tell the bar lady that it should come with ice an lemon.... the decor is nasty and considering its only 5 years old quite dissapointing ... the noise level is way to high with loud tables allowed to swear and shout with no intervention from the staf made the whole night quite unpleasant ... wont be going back

Nit all services available. Quite sticky which suggests it isn't cleaned properly. We asked for a quiet spot only for a large and noisy group to be seated beside us

Huge variety of food available, lovely desserts

This was the choice of my 15 year old grandson, for his birthday, whose friend had recommended it. After reading the reviews I wasn't quite sure what to expect! As far as our visit went, the staff were fine! Only had to deal with the lady who checked us in and took the money (also manning the bar!) and the lady who took the used plates away. No problem at all! There really is a huge choice of food! I have dietary issues so need simple plain food and never know what to expect at these places , but I was able to find several things to eat and it was okay, although some items that should have been hot were not. Granddaughter, who also has a simple diet loaded up her plate with mashed potato, three (!) Yorkshire puddings and gravy but left half the potato and the Yorkies because they were stone cold. I was going to help her out, but they felt like they had literally just defrosted from the freezer! So I think they have a large amount of wasted food due to these issues. Grandson was happy with his choices though and got through three different platefuls of various cuisines! There is a good choice of desserts from chocolate fountain and marshmallows to Eton Mess, via cakes and jelly and icecream.

This is a great place to bring my young siblings (aged 10, 12 and 14) as its a safe environment for them to choose whatever they want, with plenty of dishes for them to choose from and the dessert area is always a hit. Food quality isn't great, but you get what you pay for and they still have juicy prawns on offer which is my absolute fav. I think 3 is a fair rating based on food quality.

First Visit, the Staff did not smile ( only the small Indian lady was very lovely and smiled) the Indian food did not test right India ( need a proper Indian chef to cook maybe will better test and need strong ingredients ) Tom Yum did not test right Tom Yum ( test right red curry more) and some food is run out quickly and take too long to replace back, sushi bar not much choice right advertising, some food test to salted

Great food, especially for a buffet, with a great selection. So much choice you will not be able to try everything. Even has a chocolate fountain to dip marshmallows into. Only downside is the music is so loud you have to shout to have a conversation. Not sure if this is intentional to get customers to move away, but does make it less comfortable eating there.

Fóod very very hot selection a little low compared to previous visits, charged full dinner price on a Friday evening but tepenaki bar was only cooking steaks no mixes. No wings, minimal starters / nibbles, desserts were better than usual. All in all a nice meal just missing a lot of the basics for a relatively expensive buffet.

Been to songs in Chelmsford and was looking forward to a lunch time meal at Songs, Ipswich. Decovered they are open for fours a day, in the evening. Disappointed.

First visit to spoons & overall I had a good meal. They do a variety of food from a roast, Chinese, Indian & pasta dishes and it is an all you can eat buffet so you just help yourself to what you fancy & once you have finished you can go up & get more. Everything is labelled what the dish is but obviously it is self serve there is no one serving the food for you. Food was very good what I had, which was mainly Chinese & Indian but I did think they could have a better choice of sauces as this is where they lacked. Also, there is desserts to have from cheesecake to gateaux, profiteroles, ice cream, and apple crumble. I did find that some of the dessert plates were empty, so I didn't have much choice at the time that was my only gripe as the dessert I did have was very nice . Meal was £20 per adult for the food and they do have beer on tap & soft drinks, which are paid for separately. Overall, I had a good meal & would go back again :)

It is what it is. Some food was cold despite being on hot plates and lemon chicken so tough I gave up trying to eat it !!

It served its purpose. We had a group with various ages and Spoons was able to cater for all tastes. We never managed desserts as we had eaten to much already.

Lovely staff, helpful unfortunately food was not nice, chicken dishes overcooks tasted very chewy, desserts were good, not a lot of options, mostly was Chinese food, with few bits of Indian and 2 option of pizza. With that price would of expected a more. But staff was lovely and went beyond for my daughter birthday. Shame food didn’t live up to standards. Won’t be going back.

It served our purpose. We had various ages staying with us and different tastes and Spoons catered for everyone.

Well if you want cold food this is the place. Overpriced for what's on offer. The food must have been left out from lunch. The price well £19 per person and 9.50 for kids in the evening not worth it!!!. Customer service was good thou. The place was clean thou. Sadly this will be last time I will be going to spoons.
