Mr Wing in Ipswich

Went there for our Sons 18th Birthday party a table of 11 on a Thursday the actual food was lovely as usual . We ordered our main food then ordered a couple of other dishes and with that was told " if there is anything else we would like is to order it now" we didn't want anymore main course food anyway . We then asked for dessert banana fritter and ice cream and we all had one each with a couple extra on the side that come out so my son plus a couple of others decided to order a few more with that was told " we are unable to cook anymore as the cook has gone home" I thought it was all you can eat buffet and was well before 11pm as that's the time they close . For £18 per person we didn't actually get what we wanted so a bit disappointed , but if we had it would have been first class .

Had a meal there last night, the restaurant was so busy but they work well, the food was plentiful, piping hot, freshly cooked. We did the fixed price menu, you keep ordering and they keep bringing out. Nothing is too much trouble.

Visit for the capital pork chunks alone. You will not be disappointed. Always busy. Prices creeping up over time, but little to rival it in Ipswich.

Hemos comido aquí dos veces en el último par de meses no haber visitado por unos pocos años. La segunda vez fue con mi hijo y su esposa que viven en Hong Kong y que puede ser crítico sobre comida china en este país. no me puedo quejar en absoluto con el Sr. ala! El servicio era rápido y eficiente y la comida estaba recién preparado y servido caliente. Su concepto de un buffet servido en su mesa es único (en cuanto soy consciente) y una relación calidad-precio. Las raciones son más grandes de lo que quizás se puede esperar así que tienes que tener cuidado de no ordenar de más. Si no estás acostumbrado a comer comida china, entonces también son bastante contentos de ofrecer una selección para ti. Mi hija en ley pidió algo extra que no estaba en el menú y estaban felices de satisfacer. No te alojes aquí si lo que quieres es un lugar tranquilo y romántico para dos. Se encargan de partidos grandes mucho tiempo y puede ser muy popular y bastante ruidoso ... pero todo eso se suma al ambiente. La única razón por la que no he dado a este restaurante un excelente clasificación es que me sentí los inodoros (y el enfoque que ellos) necesita un poco de cuidados. Habiendo dicho eso es comida china en su mejor momento.

Been here about 5 times now and love it so much! Would definitely recommend!! Buffet and staff are amazing and fast service.

BEEN there first time with a group of friends from work. overall looked promising, but then the faults began to show. we were being rush to order our food. we had the buffett. the food was nice but half of what i ordered was missing, an as i can only eat certain food i was very dissappointed when i told the waiter to see where my noodles were, was told it will be here in 5 min but never reached our table, so left eating very limited. when we order we was told that we wont eat that much and for us to cut down. we were a group of 12 people which we found rude. wont be back again. we spent over £150 BUT IT WAS MONEY NOT WORTH IT.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Ipswich by far! Yummy food, great service & cheerful atmosphere. Highly reccommend it!!

We ate at Mr Wings prior to seeing a show at the Regent Theatre next door. It's described as a buffet but the dishes are individually prepared to order - however you can have as many dishes as you want. I initially thought it was a little on the expensive side compared to some other Chinese buffets we've been to, but once we sampled the food we quickly decided that it was worth every penny. It was easily the best Chinese meal we've had for a long time. I can particularly recommend the crispy duck - simply delicious! It was very busy so service was a little slow but well worth the wait.

love this resturant but wish they would bring out bigger bowls to put your food in, i do hate those tiny bowls. The food is so good though so tiny bowsl aside this place is a great place to eat, bit pricey for a family though i think

I have only recently started using this Chinese restaurant in Ipswich and i must admit that i am gutted i didn't start using it years ago. I often find Chinese food can be too stodgy and sometimes very greasy but i am very impressed with the quality at Mr Wing.

Went as a party of 8 for a 21st Birthday. booking essential. Great selection of food and excellant quality. lovely atmosphere for a great night out. Staff very attentive and helpful.

Went to Mr Wings as recommended by a friend. Went on a Saturday night and made the most of the all you can eat menu for under £20. Don't worry, this is not buffet and is a full serviced menu. Service was good, drinks not cheap but the food was delicious. We were never waiting around too long for food, always came out piping hot, good variation of dishes. Very much recommended. Salt and Chilli squid was particularly good.

What a fantastic night again. Wonderful buffet menu, cooked to order. Fantastic value, fantastic service.Fantastic Staff. What more could you want. Shouldn;t really be rating it this good, will not be able to get booked in again!!!!

Four of us dined here on a busy saturday evening. We called earlier that day and were glad to get a table for 9pm. You should book in advance for a better time.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I've been here on numerous occasions in the past year, and have been to recommend it for a while. Although when you walk in, the decor isn't anything special and it looks slight tacky/basic, the food is no representation of that. It's delicious!! I always have payed for the buffet, which is very reasonably priced seeing as you can then order as much as you like. Thankfully instead of having to get up and get food yourself (like at usual buffet restaurants) this one you order it fresh and it's brought to you. The staff are really friendly and the service is quick! I've never been in here when it hasn't been packed -it's definitely popular! Will continue to go here for a long time, and recommend it to friends!

Went on a busy Friday night. Have to say the service was very good, considering how many people in the restaurant. Was with a largish group, and the food was fine, but I'd been led to believe that this place was exceptional. It was standard fare that you would get in any half decent Chinese restaurant. I didn't come away thinking "wow". I also don't like this habit of dimming the lights every few minutes and singing "happy birthday". I know a lot of places do it, but it seems a bit naff to me.

Recently celebrated my wife's birthday here. Staff were attentive and a party of seven was accommodated well without compromising on space. We opted for the buffet which is excellent value but staff do try to steer you down a certain preferred route when it comes to choosing the starters. Food is tasty but not always hot!

The food was excellent, the service satisfactory but the drinks are rather pricey! We were a large party of 11, and all went away very full on good quality food. We will be sure to go again, but maybe not drink as much!!

You just wont get in unless you book. Thats always a good sign. Excellent food, well trained staff and an atmospher good enough for any party.

I have been here so many times and it has never let me down. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. I always have the buffet menu, but unlike some places where it has been sitting in a container all night, but it is cooked to order which means it's freshly made up for you. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a great meal.

Welcomed by friendly smiling staff who continued to give a very good service where nothing was too much trouble. The menu is very extensive and the meals very good and up to a high standard. We will certainly go again when we visit Ipswich.

This was my first visit to Mr Wings. I went on a Thursday evening in a group from work. I was a little anxious as I thought the food would be substandard and the place busy, with staff unable to cope (this happens a lot, I find, with popular restaurants aimed at big groups) HOW WRONG I WAS - it was fantastic.

The food here is the best chinise i have tasted, the staff are very helpfull and will do whatever they can to make your night great, you can have the buffet which is all you can eat for £16 great value, you can have menu choice to but i have never had that

We have visited this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. We usually go for the set price buffet menu but it is always freshly cooked and they do have another menu if you wish.

Food very good and staff knowledgeable and efficient. However, only let down is the fact there is nowhere to congregate while waiting for ones booked table. 2 parties were crammed into the entrance lobby, with a couple of people spilled over onto the pavement in the rain

First visit to Mr Wing's and wasn't disappointed. Best Chinese restaurant in Ipswich. Food is really fresh and tasty

I think the quality of the food and the good service is what keeps this restaurant going. This restaurant is always busy and you need to book a table at least a couple of weeks in advance. Don't bother just turning up without a reservation, the restaurant won't be able to squeeze you in.

Had a meal at this restaurant with my partner after work. The all you can eat menu is £16.00 mid week which we didnt think was too bad. The decor of the place is so so tired and dust is everywhere.

very good food,a buffet style restaurant where they bring the food to you for £16 per person.they don't explain how much food you can have,lots of different waiters not knowing what they are all doing,had to wait ages to pay the bill then had to go up to the counter to pay, allow couple of hours if you are going to a show next door.

Excellent food, service good!!! Always very busy!!!! Need to book weeks in advance which is the only downside

Mr Wing in Ipswich is superb. The food is really good, the staff friendly and service excellent.

I know some people rave about Mr Wing, but I am not one of them. The food is nothing to write home about. I never felt like I had enough to eat when I've come here.

We love this place we go once a week we are make so welcome and can all ways fit as in. Keep up the good work

I went here for my birthday with my wife, mum and dad and my children aged 1, 7 and 10. The attitude of the manager was that they were very busy, constantly booked and we were made to feel as though we were lucky to be there, never mind expect a nice meal. The service was rushed with the manager reminding us more than once, what time the table had to be vacated by.

My daughter was celebrating her 21st Birthday and we booked a table for 10 family members to celebrate the occasion.

Excellent value 'all you can eat' freshly cooked buffet!

This restaurant is always busy so I'd recommend you book in advance. As 'all you can eat' chinese restaurants go this one is very good. All the food you order is freshly cooked and they are more than happy to cook you some more if you scoff all your favourites first. The portions are generous and I can't fault the attentive service. Highly recommend you take the time to visit this restaurant if you are travelling to Ipswich.

Opened at 5.30pm rather than 6.00pm as indicated online so ok for a show starting around 7.30pm. Arrived early as had not booked and staff explained we would have to vacate by 7.30pm. Busy, so worth booking as some were turned away.

Mr Wings is certainly not the best chinese/east asian restaurant in ipswich, i would say there are 2 or 3 which produce superior food. But Mr wings has amazing value for money and also has a fantastic cosy atmosphere which always makes me think of this restaurant for a medium to large group of friends. The service is superb, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Having been in the army for around 6 years I have regularly found myself in numerous towns and cities all over the UK and other countries.

Food isn't as good as Trongs but as its all you can eat (and not a buffet) its still great!

Been twice, more expensive than other Chinese restaurants, but food is lovely, would like to try the buffet.
