The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Chelmsford East of England

I went there with my friends and family. The waiters were very welcoming and Alexandre took our orders and was very attentive to our wishes and questions. We had a lovely chat while waiting for our food. I highly recommend it

Our first time, went with our two young boys and we all loved it. Very flavoursome, clean food. Sizzling plates the best! Wonderful service too. Shirley the owner is a star, and Tag the waiter was brilliant with us and the boys. Have already booked for Valentine’s Day. Love this place. Is now our go to!

Most of the food was inedible, really disappointed as I usually always order from here! The spring rolls smelt rotten, the crispy beef had about four pieces of beef in it, the chicken balls was salty and the squid was even saltire! Poor!

Food was Luke warm I expect it was pre cooked and heated when ordered due ti the sheer volume of customers on a Saturday night also staff were surly and impatient when I asked for a clean bowl and a spoon 🥹 extremely expensive too Therefore never setting foot in there again 🤣

It was my first visit here, the food was excellent and very tasty, service was quick and I'll be back.

Went as part of a group of 18 to celebrate a 60th Wedding Anniversary. Wine list was on table so ordered two bottles of Prosecco and a bottle of Chilean white. Was brought a bottle of champagne which I explained was not what I had ordered. I was then told they only had two bottles of Prosecco, one of which was a Rose. Next my bottle of white wine arrived but it was not what I had ordered. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the situation and was told that a recent change of ownership meant that some of the wines listed were no longer available. I said that really was not acceptable. Why on earth put the wine lists on the tables if they know that many of the wines are not actually available. I was then offered some bottles of wine to choose from. One of the bottles offered to me was a Chenin Blanc which is the ASDA Extra Special Chenin Blanc retailing for £7 in the local ASDA store less than a 100 yards from the restaurant. I believe that it is a potential breach of their alcohol licence to sell bottles of wine bought from a local supermarket. I also think that ASDA would not be happy if they knew their wine was being sold in a local restaurant. Whilst all this was going on nobody bothered to ask us if we were ready to order our food - my wife had to go and ask somebody to come and take the order. A lady, who I presume is the manager, kept a very low profile whilst all this was going on instead of taking charge of the situation. Later during the meal I was told that they had "found" two more bottles pf Prosecco. Will never return to this place for a dine in meal.

Had a great meal at Yatzen Contemporary Oriental Restaurant and Takeaway last night. Haven’t been there since before covid and when it reopened for seating in. Lovely food, friendly and great service from the staff and very reasonable price. Will def be making regular visits, thanks to all the Yatzen staff 👏 100% recommend

See picture for the cold rubber things that should be fishcakes horrid burnt flat spring rolls. Chicken satay along with everything was cold. £40 for takeaway for 2 expect much more.

We decided to try this take away after seeing it in the ratings in the Essex Chronicle. We were definitely not disappointed! We have tried virtually every Chinese in Chelmsford and have finally found what we have been looking for - great food, served hot at reasonable prices!! Will be our regular point of call from now on and would recommend to everyone 😊😊😊

This was the worse Chinese I've ever had The food was off it was cold I was ill all night will never eat in there again. And if any does good luck..
