Just called in by chance, really great chinese food

Ordered my food before I went to pick it up, again the fish is absolutely gorgeous. Meal spot on. Very delicious.

We came here after a friend recommended it. It was absolutely lovely. We weee greeted by a friendly lady who took us to a table. The menu is very well thought out with something for everyone. And priced well. The restaurant has an old fashioned feeling but in a nice was, like going back in time. We ordered and our food arrived pipping hot and quickly. The presentation was fabulous the pots and dishes were lovely. The food as very tasty, big portions and good quality produce. I would definitely recommend going here. We will be going again. 10/10 on service 10/10 food 10/10 atmosphere

After looking at Chinese Takeways in Buxton, Peak District, it was hard to find a delivery service with good reviews, as most were old reviews with a score between 2 & 3, so we decided to ring the order through and collect it ourselves. We narrowed it down to 3 restraunts, The Great Panda, The China House and Kwei Lin, but we chose the Kwei Lin as this had the highest score of 4.2. This was the first time that we had visited Buxton out of season, as we normally visit in the summer. We found all reviews to be from around 6 months or older, nothing up to date. We were a bit dubious when we first turned up at the restaurant as it empty, with just a couple who were local, so we asked what it was like, which their reply was good and the food is nice. Our food was ready within 5 minutes of us arriving. So from ordering and picking up was less than 15 minutes. The food was hot and very tasty. So I would highly recommend the Kwei Lin and would like to thank the friendly staff for a hassle free experience.

Extremely expensive £12 to £14.99 for a main course that was extremely small portions for the amount of money, and rice, chips or eggs fried rice were all £6 extra both again extremely small portions see photo of chips as served, the food was cold and lacking in flavour. The service wasn't much better. Drinks both soft and alcoholic were expensive too Wouldn't recommend sadly

I tried King 2 for the first time tonight after lots of recommendations. The food was fantastic. Highly recommended, and I'm looking forward to ordering again.

Was debating whether to post a public review due to the nature i experienced on making one complaint a few years ago - but if being honest in my opinion and experiences helps others - i will post exactly that. Absolutely awful place - used to have standards and character about the food, care and passion in the flavours of their food - not anymore. Food has NEVER been one bit consistent in the last few times I've ordered (and thats not even that regular because its my last resort) Food has no set recipe - and changes every single time - hot and sour soup especially - the ingredients get changed up and mixed about, sometimes containing tofu, sometimes not, sometimes like water, sometimes thicker than slime - its never the same. Chips are also disgusting! Comparable to greasy cold cardboard when they arrive and the salt and pepper chips have rationed flavourings and veg - literally a few skinny sliced onions on top and can barely taste them! The rice is actually pretty decent most the time but can also at times like tonight - be dry, bulky and cold. Ive ordered enough times to know its not just a bad night - but more the fact they have lost their passion and care for the food and just rush it for the money. I wont ever be back here again - not even as a last resort! Even my kids couldn’t eat their tea and complained it was “disgusting” - they are 5 and 6. Not acceptable! Oh and we was overcharged for our order and also had to return because items were missing!!

2 of us had the dinner time £5 deal. Choice of about 5 dishes with either chips or rice. Plenty of food. Super tasty. Very impressed - will definitely go back.

Lovely pub great atmosphere and cracking Sunday lunch the lady on the bar was very friendly and welcoming even though we had two very muddy dogs with us definitely will visit again

Made an order online that said it would be a 2 hour wait, which we were fine with. 2.5 hours later I ring to ask how long our order would be and after about 5 mins waiting for them to find our order they say they missed it and it may be up to another hour for them to cook it!! They accepted our order yet said some orders dont go through!!...Absolute waste of time, avoid spending your money here!!!!!!

For the last 3 to 4 months the food has gone downhill. Todays offering costing over £30 was inedible with most of it going into the bin. Dont know whats changed, chef or owner, but we will not be ordering again.

We had munchy box and my daughter had sweet and sour chicken. Took forever to come and it was not edible. It was stone cold, and the curry sauce had a huge layer of oil on it. The sweet and sour was just like chicken in vinegar. Could not eat any of the order. Had to go out and get a different take out, after spending £33 on this one… Will definitely not be returning
