Ok but the drinks and extras are extremely expensive so the "all you can eat" price isn't as good as it seems!

Expensive. Really disappointed with the food. Especially the chicken curry. Just loaded with onion unfortunately. Spring rolls had a very overpowering flavour. Wouldn't order from here again unfortunately. At restaurant price I thought the quality would be a lot better.

I have eaten at Kwei Ping so many times over the years I've lost count. Sadly things are not as good as they once were. The price increase to £21.80 makes it poor value for money. This shows by how quiet it is on what should usually be fully occupied tables all night. I went on a Friday evening and there were more vacant tables than occupied ones. The food arrives quickly, is nicely presented and is generally good but some items were very salty. The waiter / maître d' needs to urgently be sent on customer service training. His cocky attitude was unpleasant and although there were so many unoccupied tables we felt rushed to order more starters or move onto main course. When we mentioned the strong saltiness the waiter asked if we knew more than the chef about cooking.

Excellent atmosphere amazing food quality and service highly recommended and competitively priced, will definitely go again and again 😀

Fantastic place, super friendly staff, the food is exceptionally good, unlike other buffet food where you help yourself and you've no idea how long it's been sat there, your food here is cooked fresh to order and excellent choices too.

The food was really tasty, the waiter was very friendly and ever so patient with my 2 daughters. I'd definitely go again and I'd recommend it to anyone.

All the dishes were in a very similar sickly sauce. The king prawn starter was a paste like a fish stick, should not be called prawn!

I was treated last night by my parents, I ordered the Singapore chicken. It wasn't cooked enough and when I say violent vomiting ensued that's a understatement. I'd rather poo in my hands and clap than eat anything from here again. Horrible.

Booked for 7 of us in advance for my daughters 10th birthday. The place freezing cold. We all sat with our our coats on. I felt the owner controlled the whole time we were there and we couldn’t relax and enjoy ourselves. After spending near £250 I was disappointed. I was also charged full Adult price for my 2 children. Not good value for money at all. Such a shame as it could be amazing. I sadly won’t be visiting again.

4 adults dining in. Celebrating my son's 30th birthday as well as the new year since it falls near the day. My son and I had dined there on several occasions and we always left pleased with the food and the service. I am afraid both have gone downhill. Rude waitress and manager who only seemed to care that no food is waisted in the all-you-can-eat mode. Which had to last 1 and 1/2 hours on the dot. As for the food, the worst sweet and sour meals we have ever tasted. The sweet and sour sauce was thin and watered down and tasted strange. The spring rolls were soggy. The meats were also undercooked and looked and felt slimy. I only hope they were ok healthwise. Finally, the price of £21.80 per adult is steep relative to the food and the service. The occasion and our moods were both spoiled. I am afraid that none of us will be going back to this restaurant. And it is a pity because it used to be a nice restaurant to visit in our neighbourhood without having to trek all the way to Manchester to find a Chinese that offers buffet.

Delivery service really poor, ordered online at 1655, delivered almost 2 hours later after calling the restaurant to confirm they had gotten my order in the first place and being told it was on the way out to me (clearly it wasn't) and also being told 'well, we're busy'. Alright, not sure what they're busy with if they haven't managed to get pre-orders out after two hours but ok. Food was passable-poor takeaway fare, some of it was so extremely salty or had been overseasoned with msg to the point it burned. Two stars instead of one cause the delivery driver was nice and it was hot when it arrived.

Management very rude!! Treat all staff appallingly especially the young girls that work there. Food ok but feel very rushed and you get reminded you only have 1.5 hrs. No staff are allowed to keep tips as management came straight over and told the young girl to hand the tip over to him!!

I went with my sister and my friend and all 3 of us got food poisoning and are really poorly because of the food there. The past 2 time we have gone we have got food poisoning and it will definitely be the last time we go.

Can't comment on atmosphere - it was a take away. Delivery was rapid - 5* Food was average for the price. I paid nearly £30 for some chips and lamb with a few spring rolls. Portion size was small and the food was okay.

Just called up to place an order for my family and we got wrongly accused us for “ being dodgy” and accused of fraud as the signal cut out and he refused to take our order. Definitely will NOT be going there again, we’ve been there for family meals multiple times and had food delivered before. Will NEVER go there again after how the rude, arrogant man shouted at us on the phone. This is SO unprofessional and disrespectful to a long time customer and member of the the Glossop community!!! So disappointed

Takeaway delivery from here is an absolute shambles. I ordered at 18:50 and it said delivery would be 50 mins. They called at 18:55 and left a voicemail to say it would be 1hr30 or I could collect on 30 mins. I tried to call back to say I'd collect but no answer so I sent a text message instead...got no reply. When I arrived to collect at 19:25 I was told it had been sent for delivery so I returned home thinking it would arrive any minute. An hour passed so I called up and asked where my food was, the manger didn't have a clue. Told me "it's on its way" so I asked if it had been in the delivery drivers car for an hour and he said "no, we thought you were someone else when you can in". 10 mins later it arrived and, unsurprisingly, was absolutely stone cold. I've order takeaway 3 times over the years and it's been the same story every time. Food is ok, but not worth the hassle.

Went with friends for an anniversary dinner, the starters were delicious but I'm sorry to say we were very disappointed with the mains, they came out cold and when I told them they said they would warm them up? No sorry that's not good enough our bill was over £160 and was definitely not worth it. We will definitely not be back

I ordered a takeaway last Sunday and was told I could collect in 30 mins. I arrived 30 mins later to find it hadn't been started! Admittedly we were given complimentary Prawn Crackers and a bottle of wine. However when we got home ( literally 5 mins away) the black bean special was so salty it was inedible, the salt n pepper chicken and egg fried rice was freezing cold. The Ribs were dried out. The mushroom dish was mediocre but edible. For this we paid over £40! NEVER AGAIN will they get my hard earned money!

We had the all you can eat option and all the food we had on the menu was delicious. Some of the best good we've eaten out in many years. It was also great to see lots of vegetarian options. The service was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were very patient and great with the kids. There was a lovely calm and peaceful atmosphere in the restaurant. I would highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely be going again.

We went lunchtime on Sunday with my husband and 2 young children. I rang ahead and booked but it was quiet on arrival. We were warmly welcomed and the experience just got better from there. The food was delicious, it was order a buffet style menu. We are vegetarian and enjoyed the selection. Our kids are less adventurous and they were happy to just do a side dish from the main menu for them. The host/waiter was super attentive and child friendly nothing felt too much bother at all. I may have found my new favourite buffet restaurant! Reasonably priced, ambient surrounds and food that will make your mouth water, even before it's left the kitchen. The House Specials are as advertised...Special! No doubt, we'll be back soon. 10/10 Folks. Keep it up.

Best Chinese in the high peaks As we arrived at kwei ping, we was greeted by this great chap with good banter and a brilliant personality. We was the seated in a restaurant with oriental feel and smooth, calm atmosphere. We ordered an array of appetisers that all came out tasty and hot. We then ordered a platter of mains that came out as good as the appetisers. Overall I would give it top marks in terms of quality taste and price. Would highly recommend and would gladly go again.

Not great food - house wine £16 for B&M’s cheapest wine Three Mills 8% advised them they should say that on the menu and refused to pay for that- not a good experience we were rushed all the way through. We went in at 8-45 told to order quickly as kitchen shut at 9pm - restaurant shuts @ 10pm

Very cheap, the food was good and very fast. The room is brightly lit and functional, not the first choice for a romantic dinner. But if your hungry and on a budget this is the place for you.

Been coming here a while. The older gentleman that used to wait on was lovely and made the experience worth while, however he has been replaced by a younger man who is very rude. We placed our order to be asked is that just for you as thats quite a lot and we do charge for waste, having visited numerous of times before we know the portion sizea are small and it's what we usually have. He leans over you to take plates when the rest of the table are still eating. Unfortunately we won't be returning because of the above. He has ruined the experience and is highly rude

It's open on a Thursday before Xmas. Beef Chow main, egg fried and Spring Rolls. The place is clean and tidy with kids inside.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I was so impressed with Kwei Ping that I would feel bad not to! I only recently moved to the area and I had a great Chinese down the road from me where I used to live so couldn’t wait to find a replacement. I tried Canton King and found it to be average so came to Kwei Ping with a few friends. We went in but ordered a takeaway, the restaurant felt really cute and authentic, the staff were friendly and we were well looked after. We ordered a ridiculous amount of food for the 4 of us (bill came to just over £90) so we ordered some drinks while we waited, thinking that it could be a while. We were offered to sit at a table and were given prawn crackers while we waited and the food was ready super quickly anyway (think only one of us managed to finish their drink in that time). We were so impressed with every single thing we had, the flavours were perfect, nothing was too oily or too salty and every single thing was hot even though we ordered so much. We already can’t wait to come in for the all you can eat menu!

We entered the restaurant looking for a friendly welcoming atmosphere. It needed to be clean and produce appetising food the food needed to be authentic plenty of it at a sensible price it met all our personal needs and I left happy to pay no gastric problems from over oily food and the portion was generous My wife and I were well pleased with our choice of Chinese and the service of the front and rear of restaurant and judging by the Take out orders leaving a healthy baseline of external orders. would recommend. If it wasn’t for the fact that I was looking forward to a good meal this experience would have been comical. We went for the all you can eat option, which clearly the waiter sees as a challenge as to just how quick he can get you to finish. He was super annoying, hovering like a praying mantis as soon as we had finished two dishes (one each) he swooped in took the plates and that was it – next time he showed up it was with the bill which was extortionate given what we had - at best mediocre food, ridiculously expensive and lousy service

Really enjoyed my visit here. They have an all you can eat menu for £17 per adult £9 for children which has a great selection of different dishes on it. Food was all freshly cooked to order and the restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. Good location overlooking Norfolk square. Drinks were on the expensive side but only to be expected as with most restaurants.

I went last night as a treat for my eldest passing his theory test,manager was rude and constantly rushing us reminding us we only got 1.5 hours,ordered drinks which were flat.then he told us we could only choose 2 items between us from a set menu between three growing lads?? Managed to get 3 starters hot and sour soup to be fair was nice although the salt and pepper ribs looked like dog treats. The next table then received a big plate of shredded duck so we tried to order some and apparently there's another menu that's not set which you should ask for???? How can I ask for something I'm completely unaware of???I tried to speak to the manager he was rude arrogant and dismissive and repeated for me to order our mains. I asked to pay for what we had eaten so we could leave and was charged £34 for a flat lemonade a flat coke a bottle of beer half of small bowl of soup 3 spring rolls and 4 ribs I wouldn't of given to my dog. I didn't want to make even more of a scene in front of my boys so paid and left.absolutely shocking worst experience ever and I think I'll stick to fu shing takeout in hadfield from now on.

We went for a family meal on a Friday night the restaurant wasn't busy . The food was lovely couldn't fault was hot and great taste . I just didn't like the way management spoke to there younger waitresses they were very rude and shouting at them in front of everyone in the restaurant. They looked terrified . Made me feel really uncomfortable I finished my food and left and won't be returning if that's how they treat there staff .

We have eaten in this restaurant for the first time yesterday. There were five of us, we turned up without a reservation and we were warmly invited in and fed to the brim! The system of this restaurant is really wise and well thought out. It is a water service and you can order next meal, providing you have reasonably finished your previous round of food. Whereas in others all you can eat buffets customers tend to waste a lot of food that ends up in the bin. This restaurant's innovative way promotes food sustainability and delicious eating experience. A big thank you to the hosts! Keep up the good work!

Starters good but then went down hill from there. There were 4 people on our table, 2 people got there mains, the other 2 had to wait at least 20 mins and when it came was not hot. Don't think we would go there again

Food was amazing! Best Chinese and the all you can eat is so reasonably priced at only £15.80 each. I like the idea of the all you can eat too, as it really reduces waste and means it is a higher quality than any other all you can eat I've been to. Lovely small restaraunt in the heart of glossop with the nicest staff. I can't recommend this place enough. We can't wait to come back and we will bring our family and friends ❤

Takeway ordered online at 17:20 to be delivered at 19:30. It arrived at 20:30. Prawn Szechaun was mainly onions.

Customer service has been rude, delivery driver arrived almost 1 hour late,no apology,all food cold and ruined, after calling 4 times constantly told it will be there in a min,last call to report condition of food,met by rude lady who's response was Right! Not one apology, you should remember the customers who supported you through the pandemic when your business survived on takeaways only. A table of 7 lads went here and we were all full to the brim and happy with the food. All you can eat menu is the way forward, the food is so much fresher than visiting a buffet. The quality, portion size and speed was impressive. The staff were lovely and the gentleman taking our orders was fun. The menu is a good size too, there's plenty of variety from in all the sections. I definitely recommend a trip there if you fancy an all you can eat Chinese.

Sat down , and immediately asked " what do you want to eat " to which I replied I haven't looked at the menu yet , within 2 min I was asked again , I felt really rushed , so I just randomly picked something as I wasn't given chance , the food came out quickly however it was awful , tiny bowl of curry with 4 prawns in it ! We dined in and had the all you can eat menu where you choose from an excellent choice of dishes. It's served as small plates, but still very generous portions. Food was lovely, piping hot and very tasty. Service was excellent from everyone, staff are very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.
