Good food, portions are slightly smaller than average but menu is priced cheaper than other Chinese takeaways.

I have just gone to order b2 set menu it says £29.99 on Web page but then you are saying it's £39.99 your false advertisements aren't legal!! I don't recommend

The quality and variety at China House is fantastic. Delivery has always been prompt and efficient. Highly recommended.

There are several reasons that China House has me going back time and time again. The service is really friendly and the staff go above and beyond, calling to double check something rather than just guessing. Delivery always on time….& food….well delicious and good value portions. My one negative is that it makes you so greedy because you end up unable to choose between your favourites and you just have to get both.

Abserlutally disgusting sweet and sour chicken consisted of sweet and sour sauce with a pice of breadead chicken plopead in it salt and pepper chicken was bland and rubbery and tastead as it had been frozen curry sauce was bland salt and pepper chicken wings where deep fried and greasy and tastead weird mini spring rolls where bland chips where like nails I wouldn't recommend anyone to waste there money and order food from this frozen food shop.39 pound you would expect good quality food instead I got frozen stale food disgusting what a rip off.

Food was cold on arrival, vegetables under cooked. Chicken in the fried rice tasted off. Overall the worst Chinese I’ve had from here. To make it worse it was £30 for a rice and chow mein with a pot of sauce. Would not recommend

Over 2 hours for delivery??!!? After are 30 minute delivery slot had been and gone phoned to see where the food was, told it’s only a couple of minutes away, 20 minutes later £45 worth of freezing cold tasteless food was delivered. Will definitely not be ordering from here again in a hurry, such a shame because it was one of our favourites

Order sweet and sour chicken noodles and rice when got home and opened up found out the chicken is nothing more than a chicken burger with breadcrumbs on sliced up absolutely vile food thrown in the bin now do not go to this Chinese in books that have never tasted such disgusting food and they have the audacity to charge you for this rubbish not even edible

Perfect customer service. I ordered a Mongolian beef and they sent out Mongolian chicken. Easy mistake to make with the volume of food they send out. I phoned them and told them they had sent the wrong meat out. Sent me Mongolian beef out within 20 minutes and rice as well free of charge. Highly recommended and thank you china house. Will be using you again for sure.

Used loads of times but tonight's was terrible. Vermicelli was full of tiny bits of diced pork about 2 pieces of chicken and a couple of prawns! Topped with a hard portion of breaded chicken! Plenty of onions and beansprouts to fill it out. The salt and pepper chicken nuggets were rock hard as if they had been reheated. Very disappointed. The quality of the food is very hit and miss just lately?? Sorry to say will be trying elsewhere

Never really rated this compared to ips but had a takeout from here last week and it was great!

Never had a problem with them before but tonight has been one hell of a Experience we ordered special chowmain and sweet and sour chicken food was very bland and the chicken was as Tough as old boots a few hours later me and my partner start feeling very Dehydrated and sick needles to say we now both have what we suspect to be food poisoning definitely will not be back here in any hurry 🤮

Our first takeaway after moving to Buxton. Extremely friendly man was taking our order! I choose duck in black bean sauce - delicious and fried rice- delicious. Lovely extra misfortune cookies! Highly recommend :)

Worst Chinese food we’ve ever had, I don’t even think you could consider it Chinese. We had Sweet and Sour Chicken which appears to be a chicken breast coated in bread crumbs and scored with a knife covered with sauce. The mixed meat curry was meat and peas in a curry sauce floating in oil. Both meals were luke warm and neither had any taste, the curry was so bland with no spices at all. Please do not waste your money by eating here.

Awesome food every time. crispy shredded beef in Kung Po beautiful. Warning Mongolian chicken is not only delicious but is definitely very very hot if you like that.

By far wasn’t the best I’ve ever had . Ordered fri night for the first time . To be honest not the best . Massive chunks of onion. Yung chow rice pretty tasteless. Sweet and sour was very bland . All in all pretty disappointed. Don’t think I’ll spend £20+ quid again there

Half the order was missing and the chips were inedible, far too much salt. The rest of the food was exactly the opposite, just very bland and tasteless.

Cold, Tasteless, disgusting. the beef in the shredded beef dish was so hard and chewy it couldn't be swallowed and had to be spat back out. Chips were raw and uncooked. Chicken curry was bland and completely tasteless. Wanted to try this place for a while but left extremely disappointed it all went in the bin.

More expensive than others and nowhere near as good as Great Panda. Not terrible but not worth the money either. Will wait for great panda to be open next time

Fantastic food, had egg fried rice, noodles, prawn curry, with prawn toast and seaweed. Best meal we've had in a long time, good service and piping hot, great price for two large meal portions, definitely going back there .

30 to 45 minutes delivery. try 60 to 75 mins. most of food warm not hot and the rest cold. Past 3 orders from them have been wrong. phoned to complain and they told me someone would be back to pick food up in about an hour even though driver had just left. still waiting for food to be picked up 90 mins later. Avoid this takeaway.

Favourite place In Buxton to get a Chinese meal from. We eat from here every week and have had a wide variety of dishes which have always been really good. Service is extremely friendly and the price is very fair.

Me and my partner Was looking forward to a Chinese so we thought we would try china House as everyone said how good it is we ordered are food (sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style special chow mein no prawns crispy beef in OK sauce one portion of fried rice) when we got home we oppened are food and notices the crispy beef was not in OK sauce but was in chilli sauce when we rang up to tell them about the error they said that we did not order in OK Sauce we ordered in chilli sauce we asked for them to change the order and to correct the mistake and they told us that they was not willing to do so and that it was our fault that it was in chilli sauce there was rude and inconsiderate after spending over £20 in there store the food in general was not good very dry and flavourless wouldn't recommend this place to anybody has gone downhill very fast as used to be very good

Nice Chinese food take away. Great chips although for £2 a portion they are a bit high priced. All the chinese food here is nice. I did once get english fish and chips from here once but would not recommend it as even though its an english dish it still has that chinese taste which is not what you want with fish and chips.

China House is a pretty average chinese take away. The food is OK, we had a special appetiser mix, curry, chips, sausage, seeweed and rice. All were finer but its not the best chinese in Buxton. This chippy is located outside the town centre in Fairfield.

Ever since pok had the business years ago everything was spot on... Then sold the business and unfortunately the new owners couldn't keep up with the high standards. Now he's back in charge... quality is back upto scratch 👍

My daughter has soggy chips and they were greasy. The rice was clumped up and the chicken was pink in the middle

Used china house loads the last couple of years and never had a probkem. Found chicken in the vegetarian spring rolls tonight, rang them up to tell them and they basically just fobbed us off and then when the driver came to give us a refund he accused us of lying and was very rude for no reason whatsoever. Could have easily been sorted but now they have lost 2 customers and I'll be warning anyone else I know not to go there. Complete joke

My girlfriend is vegetarian and found chicken in the vegetable spring roles. When we explained we agreed we were happy to pay for all the food apart from her spring roles they only refunded us for 1 and the delivery driver made out she was a lier and argued with us at our own front door and asked for the food back but we saved some and it is now going to trading standards and environmental health in the morning. If they had just been polite and apologised. We would of been happy to leave it as a mistake.

terrible I gave them my address but the person taking the delivery couldn't understand what I said so after a number of attempts to tell them my address they said they had it. an hour and half later no delivery I ring them and they said that the delivery person knocked but there was no answer so I asked them to gave me my address and they give me the wrong address .
