The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Poor experience. Have we been to the same restaurant as other reviewers? Felt like we were on a coveyer belt. Some staff very friendly. When the bill came we were told we had to pay the 12% service charge, which was actually on the bill as 'discretionary charge' when I queried this, the staff member said from 1st December it was not discretionary but had to be paid. I know this isn't true. I wouldn't have minded but the food was at best average and service so quick it was inappropriate. Don't waste your money, unless you want to feel like you've been fired out of a cannon and charged for it.

Booked a table for 13 people for a special occasion, whilst we were waiting for the last people to arrive out the party got told we had to pay everything upfront, which clearly shows what they actually care about, couldn't hear the server because it was so loud in there. Food was awful, definately not worth the money but ad you have already paid its not a concern for them. Whilst we were just finishing off drinks and desert, had a waitress come up and remind us we had to vacate from our table. 1 hour and half for 13 people. Disgusting, especially when you were struggling to get near anything because the whole restaurant had people packed in like sardines. Very poor service and all they are concerned with is getting as many people through the door as possible. They are not concerned with providing a good service. Will not be returning, has certainly gone down hill and this visit has reminded me why I havent visited for a number of years. We will not be returning.

Chicken curry was very watery, not thick at all, worst Chinese ive had from here.

Second time coming here now food is good but on arrival informed them a friend was running late upon arrival of said friend they refused to let him sit with us “it’s company policy we can’t let him”I’ve then spoken to the front desk and tried telling me I never told them what an absolute joke and disgrace no professionalism at all

Terrible food...ordered a chicken wrap and it was served cold. Told the waitress she took it from my plate in a tissue and said she will make me a fresh one, came back 3 minutes later and it was the same wrap just chucked on the grill a little and given back!!! Chicken pieces were dry as well, and had no flavour!

Dishes are good but a little expensive

Ordered a takeaway from here, some of the food was alright most was bland. Ordered the jade special chow mein which the most flavourless chow mein I’ve ever had, genuinely contained one piece of beef & char siu, two tiny pieces of chicken, overloaded with cheap chewy mussels which are clearly pre cooked then frozen & reheated and it didn’t contain a single piece of duck which it is supposed to have. Extremely disappointing as this was owned by a sister takeaway called jade garden in Eccles, salford which has far better food and cheaper. Odd how two places owned by the same people can have different menus and have such different quality. Wouldn’t order from here again. If you read the other reviews they’re similar stating you get hardly any of the meat you mainly pay for and it’s loaded with the cheaper stuff.

Seaweed was awful, like a child made it. Fried greens covered in white sugar, 0 out of 10. Beef in blackbean sauce dry as dust, beef good quality but no sauce 5/10. Crispy belly pork, crispy beef and fried rice 10/10. Seaweed was a joke!

Always tastes amazing can’t fault the service or the food

Ready to collect perfectly on time, the chips are really good - but that’s it. All bland and for some reason there was sweet and sour sauce in the duck chow mein. 🤮
