Massive portions of food. The chips were cooked to perfection and the curry sauce was the best I've ever had from a Chinese take away, as were the Prawn crackers. Will definitely order from here again.

Worse Chinese I’ve ever had, called up to let them know and they wasn’t inserted just told me that this was there standard of food 🤮

Got 3 dishes and all were absolutely terrible,I will not ordering again from this place .the chicken was dry the rice soggy and the beef was tough and there was very little of it.

By far, the best Chinese takeaway, I've used, there Singapore Vermicelli is just out of this world and I've had a lot of them, around Southport, nothing compares, also there salt and pepper King prawns, are amazing, comes quick and delivery drivers very friendly.

Ordered a rare takeout from Lucky star and it was a pleasant surprise. We ordered a large order for the family and we were told it’d be around 35 minutes. I thought this was just not going to be true being a Friday evening but around 35 minutes later it had arrived. The food was all very very tasty (I recommend the BBQ ribs) and at a reasonable price we were all more than satisfied. If you want a meal in with the family and can’t go to a local restaurant for whatever reason I’d highly recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered here last night and I did enjoy my meal, my only criticism is the chicken and sweet corn soup was very watery, I like my soup thicker with more flavour, it was bland. Also there was far too much sweetcorn! The spring rolls were lovely and I enjoyed my main was which chicken in black bean sauce with fried rice. It was spicy as it came with red chillies, I usually have this as my main most times I eat Chinese and it’s never been served to me with chillies before but luckily I do like spicy food. But for people who don’t like spicy food they should specify in the menu that it comes with chillies! Overall I would order again and try something else

The chips were cooked in oil that has been sat there for far too long, the meat was that tough I couldn’t eat it, it took 3 hours to deliver it even tho we live 0.3 miles away, it was cold and the prawns had a funny sour taste to them

We are vegetarian and have found this gem of a place to do amazing ‘mock’ meats which non veggie friends can’t tell the difference. The sweet n sour mock chicken bites are loved by everyone but my favourite is the crispy shedded mock chicken in sweet chilli sauce! We tried the vegetarian starter platter and it had great seaweed and mock chicken in a satay sauce which again was delicious! Please find a vegetarian prawn cracker alternative as we miss prawn crackers and they always send a free bag despite them going to waste with us! Well done lucky star! Don’t ever leave us!

Ordered a Banquet meal for 2 earlier in the week, it was Fantastic, Hot, Delicious and VERY enjoyable, so good that we ordered a second time in the week. (unusual for us twice in one week). The Food arrived piping hot and again out of this world. A VERY big Thank You to ALL at Lucky Star. I strongly recommend this take away. saying this, i think the sauces could have a lot more flavour as they do taste a bit on the bland side, BUT thats my opinion, yours may be different. Well done Lucky Star, you have a customer for life.

Ordered from Lucky Star, as had previously had a good take out, reviews seemed good. To keep it brief, order came quick, however, chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce missing. Called them and the person answering said they needed to speak to the owner. Owner's response was "we can refund them or they get the meal within the hour" - No thanks! Off the back of this, the food was average at best and your customer service was about as good as your attention to detail.

Always had good food from here. Loads of veggie options and they really are doing more vegetarian options than others that would sit in the same category of take away. The food is really tasty and not over salted or sugared. Really quick and efficient service.

After receiving a menu through the door we thought we would try here, it wasn’t great !! Bland, cold, basic food, have eaten in a few Chinese’s in Southport and this has to be the worst !!!!

I have been here before it's not that far from were I am about 2 miles food is nice but you gave to wait forever and the owner is ignorant no apologies disgrace lost a good customer

Always a lovely meal. Not Had a bad one yet. Love the Duck with pancakes and lovely fresh salad. Also honey roast spare ribs are yum. Keep up the good work.

Very easy to place order on just.eat,fairly quick delivery as we are reasonably close,great chicken & sweetcorn soup,main meals nice and hot,great special fried rice,all in all a very good experience

Never ordered from lucky star before but recommended by my son,top marks for the chicken & sweetcorn soup,all other dishes really tasty,best rice dishes I've ever tried,well done

Ordered takeaway meals from here over quite a period of time now.Our food had always arrived ahead of time and has never failed to be piping hot. They will cook using fry-lite oil for a negligible fee and they do an excellent and interesting vegetarian selection of food too.Do be aware that if a meal is marked as hot and spicy it will be!Always impressed with their serie and would highly reccomend this takeaway.

Never had a bad meal here staff always lovely. Can order through just eat and get it delivered. Always piping hot when it arrives and order is never wrong. Good size portions on all meals but the Chow mien is massive. Always a tasty treat on those weekends when u can’t be bothered cooking.

Generous portions, pleasant staff member served me. Of all the Chinese takeaways I have tried I Southport this is my favourite. The food was lip licking good.

This isn't your average Chinese Chip Shop. The meals are priced up without rice. For example, Chicken Sweet and Sour is £4.80 then you have to buy rice seperate, so Egg Fried Rice is another £2.30, making 1 Chinese meal price of £7.10. Quite a lot more expensive than other Chinese Chip Shops in the area. The food really wasn't nice either. The rice was really dry, the chicken in the meals was brown meat, which I've never seen before in a chippy meal, plus I found a bone in it. The chips are put into a bag with no option of salt and vinegar. What type of chippy doesn't put salt and vinegar on chips? There was no offer of soy sauce on the fried rice either. The portions were small and very costly so I will be heading back to my old favourite in future.

Ordered through just eat and was really happy with the food. You can build your own main by choosing your meat, then veg then sauce and there is a great vegetarian menu with plenty of substitute meat dishes. The Vegetarian duck pancakes were gorgeous! Would definitely order from here again.

This restaurant regularly advertises on Facebook that you can order online via the Keep Local app. I did that, paid by debit card and waited... and waited.

I have just had my second takeaway from the Lucky Star. Both times my experience has been excellent.

We ordered initially as it was needed a takeaway available on just eat which delivered after our dinner plans went awry! I am so pleased we did the chicken and sweet corn soup was the nicest I have ever had in flavour and consistency, salt and pepper chicken pieces full of flavour and still juicy which is rare as most takeaways fry the life out of it! Roast duck chow mien was absolutely outstanding, delicious and fresh but so flavoursome! They also offer the option for have your meal cooked with frylite for the health conscious among hat us! The only reason this review is not 5 stars is due to the time we had to wait for delivery it was over double the initial estimate however the staff were full of apologies and this won't stop me ordering again
