Not fair to comment on other dishes I've not had, so on my regular either special curry or sweet and sour they're good, tried a few other Chinese's in SP, found this to be the best, so it's become my regular even though it's not on my doorstep coming from Kew. Staff have always been great even under pressure.

Fish and chips are tasty and reasonably priced. No cod though.

Went last night for the first time and had to wait a bit but it was well worth waiting for the food was gorgeous and the prices was reasonable See you all again soon

Tried this establishment just over a week ago now. Read great reviews about the quality of food and the price here on Google and on Southport food reviews on Facebook. Our food was that good we are placing our second order this evening 8th November. I have tried the salt and chilli ribs and they was absolutely tasty. Meat was tender and not burnt. I also had Special Curry with fried rice. The fried rice was probably the best I've ever tasted. Could eat that alone. To add to the rice my main was special curry. Absolutely delicious. All the meet was tender and the prawns best I've had. Not rubbery they was spot on. My wife ordered a fish and a carton of mushy peas. She tells me the fish was fresh and delicious, but the peas where like bullets. We will not let that put us off as she will be ordering the fish again without question. I'm really pleased we have found a Chinese takeaway who's food is tasty, hot, great price and delivered to our home. Thank you Golden Dragon.

We only use this takeaway for a Chinese now. They give you very realistic times when you do a phone order and the food is alway amazing 👍

Ordered food today and they said it would be an hour. It’s an hour and a half late and the place closed thirty minutes ago. What the actual hell!?

Best Chinese in Southport, quality food every single time, been ordering from there for years and it's been always delicious and fresh.

Half an hour late but did receive an apology. Food inedible. Strange smell to it .waste of money.

The soup was alright and so were the spring rolls, the prawn crackers were good but the rest of the food was awful, we had 5 different mains, all were bad. And so were 90% of the starters. They did deliver on time though.

Lovely food at probably the cheapest prices I've ever seen at at fish and chips Chinese takeaway. They also use quality ingredients which you will see when you try their meals. Just excellent. My only problem is they are too far away from where I live so only get to go here when in southport

Me and my wife used this Chinese alot and used to love the food here but the past two times they have given us the old food from the day before. Such a shame they think they can give returning customers old dry, disgusting food. We will not be ordering from here again!

I ordered food from this place more than 5 times. But Today is the worst. We order 6 things. And all are rubbish. Chicken balls are so dry. Curry are so watery. salt&chili chicken is so chewy. Definitely give us the leftover one from yesterday. Even prawn crackers are very old. Such a shame that we won't order again. We used to love this place. But seems like the the food is getting worse every time we order it.

Had a meal from here for the first time on Saturday night. Excellent food at excellent value. We had the meal for two and it was just as i like it. the only drawback was the salt and pepper ribs. Very tough and too spicy. Got a kids box and that was great value also. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was to die for lovely and thick, and the beef in the beef and mushrooms was lovely and thick. Very tasty. Will definitly be going there again.

It is the best Chinese take away in Southport, always consistent in delivering quality food. The chips really nice and you get a good service

Decided on a chippy tea and we will only ever use the golden dragon. The chips and sausage are just as good as an actual chippy and you couldn't beat their price. Definitely recommend.

Good food- Have ordered quite a few times from here which says it all! We have found all of the dishes starters and mains good quality and reasonable prices. Have had food also delivered and is always on time. Better than quite a few other takeaways locally. Never had a bad meal tbh

This place is average compared to other near by. The interior needs a facelift although it appears clean. Usual choice and price

they need to get better sausages in And dry the chicken out so much but apart from that the food is really nice

Always have been to this takeaway for years and found it to be best Chinese in southport but since there came of just eat I have not ordered for a while. I ordered last night and the food was lovely but then over night and today we have all had sickness and diarrhoea will not be ordering again very disappointed

Ok food but woman serving had a cold and kept blowing her nose and touching it. Gave hands a token rinse under tap.

best chinese style takeaway in southport(that ive been to,others do exist),the food is very clean and tasty,the service is polite and the staff focus on efficiency and accuracy which is what ive come to expect from this establishment. its always busy so that tells you a lot right there.

Ngl this is the best local chinese ive had. Good prices and somehow when we order the bare minimum we always have food left over. Very nice

Just rubbish now, the chicken tasted weird and the texture was just wrong, all three meals went in the bin.

This has been my go to takeaway for the last couple of years and I normally place a good size order when I visit but on my way home from work I just wanted something light so I ordered chips and curry sauce I got home and was all ready to tuck in.... I had my first bite and what a shock my chips where raw and some where still slightly frozen in the middle I guess I’ll be looking for a new place to order from now on avoid!!

Just had the best chinese in a long time. There was plenty to eat . We need u in Preston. We will get it again.

This is our most local chinese. But we love the chips the best & have them far too regularly. The other meals can be a hit/miss but nothing majorly wrong. Sure we'll be using them for many years to come!

Ordered chow mein and Thai red curry. Both not bad although the chow mein was a little greasy. No t bad value and meal was ready at collection time arranged online.

Very good quality food.Best advice is order by phone. Very wide ranging menu at reasonable prices.

Rubbish the food was a plate of grease took about four bits and all I could taste was grease no flavour discussing would recommend not to go here

Ordered chop sue roll, sweet n sour chicken balls, fried rice and salt and pepper chips. Food is generally ok from here. Chop suey roll was squashed flat, had little filling and certainly no prawns or meat in at all, so that was a disappointment. Rest of order was exactly as expected and enjoyed. Delivery time was very slow, almost hour and half and I live local.

There are some poor reviews for this place it they do a mean Chicken and Cashew Nut with Yellow Bean Sauce dish. Very tasty indeed. I always have mine with noodles instead of rice.

I had a take away ( the place we ordered from out of my control) my friends had all pre- ordered the meals. My fault but I forgot to mention I have an intolerance to MSG however most places do not add this now. The food was not great anyway. ?? Not very fresh ingredients and meat tough. The following day I woke to find I had stuffy nose swollen hands and a severe headache which took 12 hours to clear. I would not go back again . Much better take aways to order from in the area. Buyer beware as no offer to cater for people with allergies written on the menu or special diets catered for.

Been using this place for over three years and have never been disappointed with any food. Great choice and always of a high standard. It’s a take away so who cares what the service is like really, order food, get food, go home and eat! It’s usually pretty fast and food is always piping hot. Best I’ve tried in Southport!

Awful, my daughter had the prawn curry and said the sauce tasted of cleaning fluid, I tried it and she was right, not a nice taste, a few prawns in a bland awful curry sauce just quickly thrown together.

Ate from this Chinese on Fri day night take it would have been one of their busy nights! I had a big order and they nailed it everything warm and tasty ! Will definitely use again especially the top restaurants locally charge far too much for an inferior product compare d to this take away! Good value and good taste 5 stars

I've tried many Chinese takeaways in Southport but this is by far the best, chicken is always fresh and everything seems to be cooked to order rather than sitting round. Chips are lovely, never see any with nasty eyes and always seem to be fried in clean oil!

Placing our order at 20.20 we received an email to say we would receive our delivery at 21.35. This was a Sunday night so why does one meal, rice and chips take 1hr and 15mins to deleiver. Poor..

Awful, the food was only Luke warm and all bright orange including the salt and pepper chips? Chicken tasted funny so we never ate as don't want to risk our health, just took the whole meal back and wanting a refund. Shame because it used to be great. I will never order here again 😮

Horrible management wouldn't advice anyone to eat there or order there rude staff chicken tastes like your chewing rubber the noddles are cheap 50p packs ones no taste to food perfect if you all love a bowl of grease

We use this take away all the time. The delivery guys is a true gent and always delivers with a smile, the owners are really friendly and the food is really nice too. Lots to choose from on the menu and always add free items too. Its a must eat if you have not before.

I've given an average review as unfortunately most Chinese takeaways in southport are rated as poor or terrible. This is better than the others in the surrounding area which in my opinion makes this average.

I was surprised how goos the chips were for a Chinese place because they are normally bad. The curry was really good, but I wasn't to sure about the spring rolls though. The food came within the time specified, so I was very happy with the service, the delivery guy was nice.

Possibly the best special fried rice in the world... :-)

Excellent Chinese takeaway. Prices are good. Delivery is fast. Food is great. Always use this one for a weekend Chinese takeout.
