The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Chinese food

I have used this establishment a few times in the past and the food is consistent. I had a beef curry and boiled rice which was really tasty. The staff are friendly too. Highly recommended

Just finished my last ever takeaway from the Hong Kong Chef as its Sam and Pauline's last day today after serving great Chinese fare for the last 41 years in Braunton. We have had sky garden previously for delivery. The food was good but recently we called to place our order as we need to double check as my partner is pregnant and has a nut allergy. We got told our address was to far away despite being a 7 minute drive/ 2.4 miles away. We assume they just were not able to deal with the nut allergy. The royal dynasty has been actually far better and really dealt with the allergy superbly.

I did order my dinner and received more than I expected and paid for this. I now know I must explain more so I don’t over pay for food I won’t eat.

I have moved about a year ago to this area. I have tried few Chinese takeaway shops and most of them have been very disappointing however, Chinese Canteen does not disappoint and every time I have ordered my food has been amazing and the price is good considering others charge ridiculous price and the food turns out rubbish. I thought they only did in person order as I couldn’t find them on Ubereats or Deliveroo so I’ve not been ordering lately unless I am in the area which is not often especially now it’s cold. I accidentally discovered I can order from their website and I have never been happy. I highly recommend it. :) food is delicious. Don’t get me wrong customer service could be better but I understand that is just how they are so I won’t hold this against them as my food is prepared well and it’s delicious so it’s worth going just for that!

Got a chicken curry fried rice chips and prawn crackers on friday past chips were dry and terrible no taste what so ever the chicken curry was poor quality chicken rice and prawn crackers was only thing edible and service was awfull too avoid at all costs

So disappointed. First time and the rice wasn't cooked properly, the sweet and sour sauce was watery and not like anything ive had in other establishments. Its a shame because the chicken in the Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken peices were really tender. Will not buy again.

We ordered on a Saturday, didn't mind waiting. The special chow mein.. I thought would be loaded with chicken, beef ect. Was 3 prawns, a few bits of meat that was hard to find, not tasty. Overpowered noodles to bulk up

Menu has changed not suitable for some customers thinking of there own pocket and not the customers that support the takeaway in a small village won't be ordering AGAIN
