China City in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

So disappointed. First time and the rice wasn't cooked properly, the sweet and sour sauce was watery and not like anything ive had in other establishments. Its a shame because the chicken in the Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken peices were really tender. Will not buy again.

What can I say about your China city. 1 They need to listen to the customer's orders properly. 2. Cook their food from fresh, not. Re cook it the same day as you can tell that are over cooking of the food .3 Get a new chef. He or she what knows what they re doing

Asian food is my favourite cuisine and this was hands down the worst takeaway I have ever had . The food looked so unappetising and it was so bland I will never order from here again . So very disappointed.

Tasted better on the way back up

We have been customers of China City for many years and their food has varied in quality over that time. However, the meal we had yesterday was PERFECT! The best Chinese food we've had in some time; hot and tasty, with proper fresh veg. Hope they keep hold of this chef!

Was visiting the area and fancied a takeaway. Was easy to book and collect. We ordered two tray meals (curry sauce, rice and chips). Whilst I was tucking into mine, I noticed a strange taste. After spitting out what I was chewing, I noticed it was a single prawn. Luckily neither of us are allergic to sea food but had we were, things could have ended very badly. I called and tried to speak to the owner. I couldn’t as they were busy but did pass on my comments. Never had an incident like this in all the takeaways I’ve been to over the years. Lovely food but probably won’t be coming back as I don’t see how prawns can end up in a non-prawn meal unless they were using the same utensils.

Had a Set Meal for Four takeaway for my birthday it was delicious, all four of us enjoyed it especially the duck pancakes with plum sauce!

Horrible! chicken wasn’t crispy was just soggy also dry cold chips avoid there’s better tasting dog food out there!

It was closed, when the website said it would be open.

First time eating here. Was a bit dubious because of some of the reviews but decided to try it. Food was delivered in half the time they said which was amazing. It was also very hot and freshly cooked. The chicken was great aswell as the shredded beef being really good. Will definitely be back.

Visited on opening at 5oclock, I barely sat down and my food was served.. I have used this takeaway for the past fifteen years I must say I will not be returning after the terrible food I was served this evening.. The rice tasted stale definitely reheated from yesterday. Noodles over cooked and tasteless.. I called the restaurant to air my views on the food. The owner insisted it was freshly cooked Sorry but no!!! It wasn't.. Lost a customer I'm afraid...

We ordered £23 worth of food. It not only tatsed off, but the chicken was disgusting and slimy. We called them and when we tried to complain, they started talking in a different language and then hung up! I am absolutely disgusted by the attitude of the employees. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

If I could give zero I would. This has to be the WORST Chinese I've ever eaten the chicken balls was like hard rubber very dry and chewy the batter was dripping in grease the chips no better was so hard we couldn't eat them. I've saved a chicken ball in case I get ill and the pork my husband had if it was even pork.. gross

Not the worst chinese I've ever has but it isn't the best either. Food was nice, warm and ready to collect very quickly. Chicken was a little dry but nothing too horrible. Would eat here again I think

Still waiting 2 hrs for food. This is a joke live In Saltash 5 mins away. Always blame driver not the management. It's the company learn by your mistakes again and again.

Meal ordered was 45 minutes late. Cold and tasteless. Worse Chinese ever. Never again from this take away.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Ordered at 5pm and advised delivery would be within the hour. 7pm still not arrived. Phone constantly engaged. Ended up going into store and asked for a refund to be told no they dont do refunds and they were just cooking my food. So I basically had to have it. Got it home and it was cold and the sauce was like jelly.

Very well cooked and the prices were reasonable.

Thai green curry tasted amazing! Had spring rolls, chilli and salt beef, egg fried rice. Highly recommend the food is just so tasty!

Do not like to leave un justified bad reviews but the chicken chow mein and bean sprouts we had from here on the 7/09/20 were awful. The chicken was chewy and very strong tasting. There were no vegetables only onion and sprouts and it was swimming in grease and tasteless liquid. The bean sprouts were the same whole meal went in the bin. Not had a meal here for a while shan’t be going back.

Fab service, quick delivery, food very nice.

Only ordered a small amount of food, delivery charge was twice the amount of other take aways in our area. Will never get delivery again. Very disappointed

Ordered at 6:48 still not delievered at 20:53 and still not here. Blaming deliver driver. Not that there management needs to be sorting out. Happy to refund delivery drivers money and blame him. So paid him in cash as its there problem not his. Sort you company out. X

OUR NEW NUMBER ONE CHINESE, SO GLAD WE FOUND YOU CHINA CITY.

We were staying nearby in Landrake, so on our last night we thought we'd treat ourselves to a chinese. Always hard to judge what will be a good or bad one, so we took a flyer on China City and we were not disappointed. A longer wait that we would have expected, but the food was top notch and reasonably priced!!

Had a lovely family meal that everyone enjoyed. The children normally only like chips when we're eating out. This time they asked for more of mum & dads :-) great result :-) :-)

We’ve ordered from here twice in the last couple of weeks and have not been disappointed.. food arrived quickly and was fantastic on both occasions.. very happy and we’re back next week too so will going for the treble

Always consistent good quality food. Usual selection on the menu. Love their crispy beef best in the town. Will deliver which is always a treat when the weather is bad.

Awful food. Avoid at all costs. Ordered a delivery food bland, spare ribs all fat. Phoned to ask for money back, no way. Paid 20 quid for food that is now in the bin

Regularly use this take away, I always find the staff friendly and helpful. In my opinion the food is quite nice and reasonably priced.

This is the Navy Country Club where membership is open to locals. Club eating and event facilities open to all.

el maíz y carne de cangrejo sopa estaba bien así como la sal y la pimienta costillas. Sin embargo, el pato crujiente estaba muy seca y bastante frío y los fideos de Singapur eran tan seco que estaban en mi opinión incomible. Las gambas picantes que teníamos era asqueroso. Los langostinos estaban cocidas más allá del reconocimiento. No comí.

Have used this takeaway a couple of times. The service has always been fast and friendly and food has been good quality. The staff have always been willing to ammend orders to suit my dietary requirements with no problems.

This is without doubt the worst food we have ever tasted unfortunately I would have had to get a taxi to return to this establishment to throw back in their door as I was in a hotel at the service area, we ended up having a visit to the burger bar which was a degree less offensive, great town lovely people especially the taxi drivers should have spoke to them first.

Really bad customer service, bad food, and then called 3times to complain and kept getting hung up on. Then 4th time when i finally complained they had a go at me and said it was my fault... Definately stay far far far away!!

Great takeaway, smooth fast delivery. Food is always excellent. They are happy to cater for the little fussy requests made.
