Salt and pepper ribs to die for Sweet and sour sauce - Excellent You won't find a better Chinese this side of the Great Wall 10 out of 10 .

Had a House special chow mien to shear with my wife it was plenty full and really enjoyable definitely go back again

This is the worst Chinese take out we have ever had. Partner was adamant he wanted Chinese takeout for dinner and the other place was closed on Tuesdays, so I tried not to notice the grubby state of the front area, desperately hoping the kitchen was better looked after. And counting on the fact we have cast iron stomachs 🤞 The woman on the front desk was not particularly welcoming or patient. We were told our order would take 25minutes which is perfectly reasonable but it was done much quicker. The portion size was what I would expect, and it was all hot apart from the chips and chicken balls. The chow mein was not like any I've had before, quite unpleasant odd taste and slimey texture, the chicken balls for the sweet&sour weren't cooked properly. To be fair, the ribs were actually really really good, I wish we had just ordered a load of them and nothing else, everything else was barely edible. Most of it looked and tasted as though it had been made days ago and just microwaved on order. Hugely disappointing. Terrible waste of money.

Food was excellent, we ordered the House Special Fried Rice each and shared the massive Spring Roll. The place looks tired and dated, it’s looked the same for about 20 years but food is always good.

Always a great tasting takeaway. Been coming here for years, and travel from Hayle. The prawns are always clean and cooked perfectly. Tasty fried onions and noodles. We get the ginger prawn chow mein and sweet and sour. Amazing in our opinion. This is now our go to Chinese takeaway following consistent quality meals. Thanks.

Got takeaway on Sunday evening, waited 20mins well worth it 😋 £27 for 2 people good value 👍🏻more tastier than back home (Kent) friendly polite lady served us, i heard in summer months waiting time double or more, but that to be expected 😎

Food was good, portion size spot on. polite staff to take orders and serve. Not sure why it has bad reviews as it would be above average in quality and lower in price than back home in Oxfordshire.

All I can say is I’m happy to be alive after eating one of their tiny grease boxes that I would never in a million years feed to my dog

Found this little Chinese after exploring around the town on a Saturday night looking for something to eat. It was a very long wait for a chicken chow mein, which was over £7 and to be honest it was very salty in taste and seemed a lot more like chop suey than any chow mein I have had before. Not much noodles and lots of sauce - more like soup. I really thought before I found the noodles I had been given the wrong order. Unfortunately was it worth the long wait, no I don’t think so, but it was hot and unlike the local fish and chip takeaways in Perranporth at 7pm it was open! I don’t think I would be rushing back to try hear again. Yes It was hot, but it was really wasn’t anything to shout about.

Good quality food, ordered 2 main meals enough for 3 people very good value, friendly service, well worth a visit.

Strange set up. Basically you deal with one person in a small booth. Maybe they have experienced abuse in the past. Food was decent enough. 👌

We usually use the other Chinese in the village out of habit but when that was closed we gave Jade House a try. For a comparison we ordered dishes that we would normally have. The food came out reasonably quickly and was still good and hot when we got home. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was equally as good as from the other takeaway, some dishes were definitely better (e.g. Sweet and Sour not so sickly sweet), others not as good (e.g. Black Bean Sauce not as spicy) but we enjoyed the meal and now know that we can try either place as and when necessary.

Food was really tasty, price was pretty standard for a Chinese. The portion size let's them down, too small.

Standard food, can get very busy though

Went here tonight whilst on holiday and very unimpressed with the whole experience from start to finish. Went in to order and was told we needed to give a menu number, the lady behind the counter was very uninterested in taking our order, kept making us wait while she answered the phone. She was behind a sheet of very damaged plastic and could barely hear what she was saying and visibility was poor the plastic was dirty looking and very scratched, we received our food after about 25 minutes, the reception/waiting area was filthy and unpleasant. The food was nice not amazing and the portion size was very poor for the price we brought 4x meals and to be honest we all thought it looked like we had ordered a child’s meal. Shame as this was our final evening in Cornwall, Cornwall is an amazing place. This Chinese is not. I would recommend going elsewhere.

Looking at the reviews how is this place allowed to sell food. I tried their chips last night I had to remove them from my mouth. They should pay us to eat their food simple as that.

best ever chinese take away, been a regular since 87, never had any issues whatsoever, sure ive had to wait sometimes as its been busy, which is a good sign ,ordering for tonight 24/12/22 when they open at 5

After reading some of the reviews i wasnt sure about trying jades but god im so glad i did. The food was fantastic lady behind the counter was very polite and only had to wait roughly 15 mins will definetly be going back before the end of our holiday thanks jades very full and happy.

Girl behind counter extremely rude !!!’ Asked her how long got told 15-20 minutes which is acceptable, before I got chance to ask if I could wait in premises she walked off and never came back, no please or thankyou !!!! It’s a real shame because food is lovely but because of her I won’t be coming back again. Mei kitchen from now on !!!!

I am 12 years old my familly let me call on the phone so I did and I could not understand what she was saying she said can I speak to and adult . so my brother in law did all the calling. she did not want to talk to me because i am a kid wich is not nice and i am 12 not 2 . the food was good though . remember a mask apperently they wont let you in without one wich i think is good

We love a Chinese in our family & we tried this Chinese whilst on holiday & it was fantastic the meals were very tasty and pipping hot, so much so we had it twice in a week! However be prepared to have a long wait & don’t forget your mask!!

Remember a mask or be prepared not to be let in to order. Our food was a large order and what I tasted was good but it was heavily filled out with vegetables. £95 for our order was shocking but it was a family celebration and we didn't question it. Everywhere seems to be a wait and the other Chinese I was told was horrible and greasy. This wasn't. Pre order and be prepared for an additional 20 minute wait. Its clear its all fresh. Pancake roll large and tasty (maybe a little over done but still tasty) King prawn curry tasty not many prawns Chowmein as you'd expect Chicken balls seemed ok kids ticked into them ok. Ribs were very tasty and tender Can't comment in the rest as it was not enough meat to share around the adults. The veg and sauces were tasty. The pancake roll was enough to feed a person alone. But do not order additional veg. You won't need it.

Had not stayed in this area before and fancied a last night Chinese Takeaway. Dropped in here and it was amazing, very tasty. I would recommend

Worst Chinese I've ever had stay clear

Just had a takeaway from here because the one that is really good up the road was shut on a Tuesday night. First time ordering from here and it’ll be the last, just didn’t want to touch the meat at all. Sorry if I go against the majority here but most of it went in the bin. The waiting area is really rough looking but sometimes you do find a hidden gem, definitely not this time.

Phoned up at around 6:45 and ordered a salt and pepper chips, chicken balls, 3 egg friend rice, chicken in black bean sauce and a Yung chow chowmein and the young lady on the phone told me it would be really at around 7:20. I decided to leave at little bit early to pick up the meal and arrived at the building at around 7:10 and Fortunately to my surprise our meal was already cooked so I was able to pay and leave with our food within 10 minutes! The lady at the counter seemed to be quiet young but she was absolutely lovely and was very polite and efficient whilst doing her job though it seemed to be quite busy. Once I had got back to the caravan site we had our food and I must say it was probably one of the nicest takeaways I’ve ever had in my life! The chips where seasoned in a really delicious mix of spices, the rice was brilliant, chicken balls came with sweet and sour sauce and the kids absolutely loved them, black bean chicken was super tender and flavourful much like the chowmein which was probably the highlight of the meal! Honestly so impressed with this takeaway and there customer service, 11/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming here again!!

60 minutes wait forget it go to the chip shop next door a lot better i was stood at the counter waiting to order and she kept taking phone orders.

Placed my order over the telephone and was told the food would be ready to collect in 45 minutes. 45 minutes later, I arrived to collect my takeaway. There were about 6 other people in the queue. I asked the girl at the counter if my order was ready. She asked me my name, took my money promptly but ignored my question and then disappeared out the back. I stood there and watched other orders come out very very slowly and could see other people in the queue were also frustrated about the delay. After half an hour, I thought to myself that this is getting ridiculous so I asked the same girl if my order was nearly ready. Again, she completely ignored my question and disappeared out the back and didn't come back to the counter. Finally, after 45 minutes of standing around, the girl came to the counter with my order, opened the hatch and handed me my takeaway with no apology whatsoever. This is unacceptable Jade House. From placing my order to actually getting the takeaway, it took over an hour and a half when I was told 45 minutes over the phone. By the time I actually sat down to eat my takeaway, it was late and I was past it. My friends visited Jade house a few weeks ago and had exactly the same problem. They are quick enough to take your money from you but don't tell you about the long wait ahead. If you are hungry and want fast food, then this is not the place to go. Be prepared for a long wait! Having said that, the food was excellent but this has definitely made me question whether I want to go through this again and go somewhere else instead.

We didnt even bother ordering from here in the end as the food hygiene rating only has 3 stars not good enough when things are only just opening back up :(

I can honestly say our meal this evening has got to be the worst Chinese Takeaway we have ever had. Wouldnt normally leave feedback but I thought I just had to.

Waited quite a while. Had ordered Shrimp Curry, shrimp rice, beef chow mein. Got shrimp curry, plain chow mein, beef chow mein. Hate curry without rice. Very disappointed.

Perfect take away that was taking orders (crazy busy everywhere) they went above and beyond to not add and MSG to my meal :)

We ordered a takeaway while staying in Perranporth. Excellent meal, plenty of dishes and duck/pancakes were the best. Definitely recommend

Disgusting customer service! We had friends staying over and recommended this take-away. We ordered a signapore fried rice - minus meat - expecting some prawns and vegetables. What we received was a large portion of fried rice! When calling the restaurant we were told 'fish is meat!' When I questioned this I was told, 'English people say fish is meat' and he said, 'I need to ask Google!'. After a lengthy conversation of explanation about food groups I was told, 'I will ask the university'. After several attempts tp explain the difference, the phone was disconnected. Not happy

Had a lovely day and decided to get a chinese. Worst thing I could have done. We ordered Singapore fried rice minus the meat! Simple request right? No!!!They charged us the full amount and then sent us a large spicy rice with nothing in it! So after arguing with us on the phone, hanging up and then ignoring the phone. Aparently english people say parawn is meat!!!! Well we have regularly used this venue but their appalling attitude to customer complaints has just lost them another regular customer. Why argue and get defensive when you muck up, admit it and learn your lesson so you can deliver service and food.Avoid like the plague! Also the gas heater in the waiting room probably doesn't have a gas certificate so careful not to get carbon monoxide poisoning while you wait for dinner!

We visited the Jade House for a takeaway whilst on holiday and the food was very good. Bigger portions than back home with a different choice of food but all cooked very well. Didn't experience any of the issues raised by others and we would go back if we were back in Perranporth. Shame its not closer to home. Not the prettiest of places to look at but who cares when all you want is a takeaway.

The food here is always the same. It doesn’t “wow” me but we keep going back. It’s tasty, fairly reasonable, easy to park in the square right outside. Best to phone order unless you have at least half an hour spare to wait.Yes as some reviews state, it needs re decorating, but its only a takeaway so does it really matter?

Ordered sweat n sour chicken balls and found a bone in my chicken and the woman reported me to 101 surely the police have more appropriate manors on their hand I gave the bone to the woman behind the counter and when I asked for it back she said no

Lovely food, bit of a wait in peak but to be expected!

I can't believe some of the reviews on here! Perhaps they've had a makeover? The food was excellent and all freshly cooked. Absolutely no complaints here. I would definitely return. Yes, it's a bit dated inside, but does that really matter. We waited half an hour as we hadn't pre-ordered, but that was fine, we had a spot of shopping to do in the local Co-op anyway.

Ordered over the phone and was told it would be 40 minutes, went to pick it up and was stood there for a further 30 minutes, and there was only 2 other people there. And no apology what so ever. Will be going to the other Chinese from now on.

The food OK.. However the time we had to wait was we'll over 40 mins and it wasn't that busy.. Not a good example of a place I would reviset Poor manners at the counter didn't help.. So be warned if you chose to eat here.. Take a book be prep to get poor service with a long wait

Not happy I had to wait over an hour for our food. They said it was a 30 min wait what really made me mad was a man came in and ordered a big order and with in 15mins he had his meal given to him . My kids were getting bored waiting I wish we gone and got fish and chips the food was not that good chips were dry and the rest of the food well can’t think of what to say will not b going there in a hurry hurry 😡😩

One look on the menu and it put me off, do no recommend. doesn't look like a chinese looks more like a dungey taxi rank.

Really quite surprisingly bad. The prawn crackers (paid for) were very thin and greasy. The pancake roll was HUGE but unfortunately so greasy that it couldn't hold itself together. The Singapore fried rice was average. Not terrible but dry. The king prawn kung po was also fine. It would have been nice to have more than three cashews and for the prawns not to be so overcooked. That leaves the beef chow mein. It was genuinely terrible, the worst I've ever had. The beef and vegetables had no flavour at all, and the noodles tasted as though they'd been mixed with an instant noodle seasoning pack. The noodles were also a different type to the ones usually used for chow meins, so the texture was completely off. All in all, too unpleasant to eat. 100% avoid. I would have returned this food if I hadn't already waited 40 minutes for it then driven 20 minutes away.

We just had a meal from this restaurant and it's one of the worst meals that I have ever had. I ordered chicken curry, and shared a egg fried rice and chips with my wife. The chips were over cooked and the rice was dry and horrible. The chicken curry contained awful processed chicken. Avoid the place.

Good points, service prompt and friendly. Portion size good. Bad; Was very disappointed as the reviews were good. Hot & sour soup was more like sweet and mildly spicy soup, it was atrocious it went in the bin. Singapore Chowmein was sloppy and bland. I cant personally recommend! For 35 quid not impressed!

Food is great, I really enjoyed the Singapore style noodles and my wife enjoyed the chicken curry. The downsides are they seem to be very under staffed and the food takes ages. It was about 55 minutes for a collection order. Definitely ring up beforehand as you could be waiting a really long time inside. Portions are slightly under average size too. I get that where I come from in the Midlands we probably have above average sized portions. But if you are hungry and have an appetite then I would probably order more than you usually would or have a snack/starter first.

The take away looks like not decorated for 30 years, unlike all Chinese take always in my home area where you can view the kitchen, this still has the kitchen behind a wall, after tasting food god knows what it’s like.I ordered 4 meals, a variety of dishes, all were bland with no flavour.The pancake rolls were huge and chips not too bad. The curry sauce think bland.Next year when return will try the other Chinese.

Visiting on holiday. Plus points are the food was very good (the main thing), but we had to wait quite a while (over 1/2 hour). Think the guy was on his own taking orders and cooking. Also the food agency rating was not displayed (well not that I could see) but on checking is only a 3/5 which is not great. Would go again as long as I had the time fir the wait.

Had takeaways on two ocassions and each time the food has been outstanding. The wait can be a little bit long if you have not ordered but I can assure you all..it is worth thr wait !!

The food was ok. Strange that there was no option for any seaweed on the menu. A lot of the meals came with lots of water chestnuts and bamboo shoots, which meant that it all looked very similar. We ordered the chicken satay expecting it to be on sticks in the peanut sauce, which it wasn't. The food was nice but it did all seem to be bulked out with water chestnuts and bamboo shoots.

This was a first class takeaway. The food was excellent and I must say I have never seen a pancake roll as big in my life.

visited jade house chinese whilst taking a holiday at perran sands holiday park.. i spent about £26 in there, i got yung chow fried rice, salt n pepper ribs, beef fried rice and sweet n sour pork balls.. i was not happy at all, the salt and pepper ribs were a total disgrace.. they charged me £5.40 for 1 rib cut into 6 peices.. i couldnt believe what i was seeing..the smallest pieces of ribs i have ever seen...more onions and peppers to make the dish look bigger . (see picture) what a rip off. both the beef and yung chow fried rices were dry and horrible, it was like the rice had been left out for days...yukk.!! and now the PORK BALLS..! well for a start they were not pork....they gave us chicken instead... and they were horrible.. soggy full of fat mess balls.. i call to complain and all they said to me was...are you on holiday..i said yes but was has that got to do with it...and there response was sorry..then they hung up on me...DO NOT GO TO THIS CHINESE ITS A TOTAL DISGRACE.

Now we have a new Chinese take away in Perranporth Jade House have to step up. Their food was always better than the other Chinese, but with new owners they now have competition.

Average Curry lots of peas & onion meat seemed processed also tried to order again but when called advised that they were closed but it was one of the days they were supposed to be open. Meal was average nothing to write home about.

Onion and pea curry, was not what I ordered, was the opposite curry with NO onions or peas!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

We had crispy beef and sweet and sour chicken in batter. Food was ok but nothing to write home about. I quite liked the chicken but my wife and son said the crispy beef was chewy. Portion sizes weren't great and wait time for food to arrive seemed long.

We were staying just outside Perranporth and decided to try Jade House for the first time. So glad we did as the food was delicious. We ordered the food for a takeaway and as one reviewer commented, it's bad for parking (especially in season) so it's best to get a time and collect when it's ready.

Always go here. It is Amazing food and worth the wait if there is one.

It may not look much but the food was amazing. We ended up craving the salt and chilli ribs and going bad twice in one week. Highly recommend fabulous Chinese food and very popular so ring your order in to avoid a wait.

visited this chinese during our visit to perran sands, we ordered £40 worth of food and it was really nice food. the fried rice dishes are so nice..(especially yung chow fried rice) the ribz were nice and fresh.. even my kids loved it all.

Congratulations on being the WORST Chinese I've ever had!!!!!! The duck had soft horrible skin and fat on it. The rice was terrible, I can't explain the consistency of it but the rice has always been the same at every Chinese I've been to accept now. The crispy chilli beef should be renamed to chilli vegetables with a hint of beef. Honestly just take the time and drive to a Chinese in Truro or Newquay.

I've coming here for a long time as I've lived in perranporth for 30 years. I recommend the Cantonese sweet and sour chicken really tasty and has a light batter compared to the sweet and sour ball. The only downside is that they don't do crispy seaweed.

Although it is only a very small outlet, the business has been running for many years and all the food is cooked to order. The premises look a bit to be desired - but looks can be deceiving! Because it is only a small premises they are limited to cooking and serving from a take-away menu only - there is no restaurant.

Best Chinese takeaway in Cornwall just get them to confirm an accurate time for collection as parking is a nightmare in season.

Forget what this place looks like, it is run down but, the food is excellent, I mean really good, very friendly and is cooked quickly and fresh, superb!

We had takeaway Chinese from here twice during our holiday. The food was top notch with a generous amount of meat in all dishes. We tried the lemon chicken, sweet and sour balls, chicken and cashew nuts, beef curry, ribs and all of their soups. The food was really tasty and fresh, hence why we returned. Don't be put off, as the place itself looked a little shabby, but the service and food was perfect, 10/10

Never had a bad meal here ,people come from as far as Helston to get their food . The sweet corn and chicken soup is to die for as is the sweet and sour chicken balls.chicken satay is also well recommended.My wife's cousin from Derby reckons its the best take away he has ever had and believe me he has been to a few in his 70 odd years.

Have been using this takeaway under the same ownership for the last 15 + years and it is very popular amongst the locals Good Food reasonable rates but sometimes you have to wait for up to an hour. but your best solution is to ring early give them your order and then go and have a quick pint before you collect it ....easy peasy

I stayed in Perranporth during April 2016 and tried to find a good Chinese restaurant to get a takeaway from. Locals pointed me at Jade House and I can only say that they must have been having a laugh at my expense.
