Amazing crispy cumin beef, aubergine prawns, dry fried green beans -- everything we ordered was 100x better than anything I've ever had in Chinatown, better than any Chinese meal I've had since I lived in NYC 30 years ago. Just wow. Lovely friendly service, a bit slow because everything was obviously cooked fresh, but the food is absolutely worth waiting for. Can't wait to go back, this place is a GEM.

During lockdown, there aren't many options on Deliveroo for Sichuan food, and this restaurant is one of the few that has a wide delivery range. From our 4 orders in the last 2 months, the restaurant always estimates 60-90 minute wait times (within zone 1/2), which we can plan for. However, each time they were late, each time we had to call the restaurant to check on our order, and each time there was an additional 30-45 minutes added on top of the already long wait time. According to the manager, the restaurant has decided to only make delivery runs when combining several orders together for Deliveroo. They don't apologize for this - they do not feel bad at all. This is bad for customers, bad for food quality, and bad for the driver who is likely underpaid because the restaurant has turned off the driver tipping function on Deliveroo (By the way, the driver himself is really nice and respectful, and you can tell he is trying to go as fast as he can through far too many orders at once.) And to top it off, as a Sichuan native, I can tell you that if there was no pandemic, I would never eat at this restaurant because there are far better options in Zone 1/2 for the same or cheaper price. They use stale/subpar seasoning, and some dishes are over-salted.

Absolutely horrible,6 of us had two dishes each, all except the dumplings was horrible, soggy prawn crackers, absolutely no flavor to the beef noodles and the beef was horid. The special fried rice basically only had ham and peas in. Walked past for years and will continue to do so. Was an expensive waste of money. Flavorless expensive plain food

The name of this restaurant is very misleading. You would think that this place is a regular Chinese restaurant in Old Street, but actually it is way more than that. If you are able to read Chinese, the name of the restaurant is a major city in Southwest China, the origin of hot pot and the hometown of many exotic and rare dishes. In China, it is well known that Chongqing is famous for its food and most people are very proud of their own cuisine. They develop recipes over generations and strict about the way they make food. I always passed by this restaurant but this was the first time ever I managed to get into it. If you want a real authentic Chinese food experience, you should definitely add this restaurant to your number one place. You try this place once and you never want to go back to China town where they serve the public with fake Chinese food. The restaurant seems to ran by a family, very friendly staff, average furniture, just like in China, the focus is mainly on the food, that's what is important for every single catering place. Serving is nice and the taste is almost like you are visiting a restaurant in Chongqing.

I was craving Chinese food and headed over expecting not great American-style Chinese food. Instead, I enjoyed the most authentic and delicious Szechuan Chinese food I've had outside China.. Warning: there are a lot of chili peppers involved. And yes the service is not the best. But if you can take the heat, stay in this kitchen.

I have been to this Chinese restaurant several times and I just love the food, I think it simply the best Si Chuan restaurant. But I hate their waiters and waitresses so so much. They are full of ‘don’t care’ and most unfriendly attitude. If you are going there, just simply enjoy the good food and just ignore these bunch of unfriendly staff and never have them spoil your lovely evenings. It is a big shame that a good restaurant with such bad customer services. Well, I don’t think they understand what is ‘Customer Services’.

The portion sizes are just way too small. The food is tasty, however the spring rolls aren’t so much. The spring rolls taste of smelly boiled cabbage lol. Also the shop doesn’t smell great :/ The service was slightly weird, maybe the workers are a bit shy and just don’t like interacting so much
